Giovanni’s POV
"What if I told you Wesley is asking for help to reach Molly?"
The question shocked me for a second. “What?” Wesley was smart, but I never expected it to reach this level, and the more Hank explained, the more uneasy I felt.
Being a spy and an assassin, this was his job, so I wasn’t the least surprised.
“From the look of it, he either loves or hates her too much.”
I respected Wesley before, especially when I heard that he married Molly after the scandal after everything I witnessed, no.
If only I knew Don Black’s location. All his partners have worked with him through his bodyguards.
“I want a strategy to take him down. Wesley isn’t a problem.”
“But if he’s partnering, then he’s going to use Molly’s money to pay for some things, right?” Hank asked. I wasn’t ready for this.
There was already a lot of things going on with my clubs and loaning organizations, but then an idea came to mind.
“What about I take back Molly’s money from him bit by bit?”
Hank smiled, but there was still confusion on his face. He wasn’t much of a planner, just as I wasn’t so good with information, so we depended on each other, except when he had jobs abroad.
However, at this point, I was determined to pay him not to accept any new jobs until Molly regains everything.
“How are you going to do that?” I inquired.
“I think he needs information about me. If you catch the next spy, sell information about me for twenty million,” I suggested.
Hank smiled. “Smart choice because what he would get would be dead information.”
I shrugged. “But I still need Don Black’s identity. If possible, we must eliminate each of his men until he can’t hide anymore.”
“That is going to be a massacre. The kind of job I see Roger doing,” he joked, and I smiled a little.
Roger was going to be my weapon, which was the reason I and Hank trained him that way, including keeping him away from his mother.
Now, Molly was suffering the effects of everything.
“Let’s take it slow. We can leave a hint after taking down any of his men,” I encouraged.
“Got it. So, where are you headed?” Hank asked, and I remembered my promise to Eleanor. “I’m hitting the club.”
His gaze dulled, and sadness shone in it. “I’m sorry I can’t help you with that.”
I shook my head. “I don’t need your pity. I got this. Let’s use my ride.”
He could use any of my cars, so transportation was not a problem if we were to use either of our cars.
When he arrived at the club, he asked me, “What about Molly? You could pay her to…”
I cut him off before he could finish. "I will never hurt her again. She's precious to me. Do you understand that?" My voice unintentionally rose, causing him to take a step back.
"I understand, but does that mean Octavia hasn't been doing a good job?"
Hank's questions were starting to weigh on me, but I knew it was because I was keeping certain things from him.
"I have a reserved room. Where will you be?" I asked, just in case he needed to know.
"I'll be in one of the VIP booths for a while, but let me know when you're leaving. My bookings over the weekend have been canceled," Hank replied.
I needed to be somewhere else from here, but I knew I had to see Hank first.
I grabbed a mask from a compartment and put it on before entering. A woman in a gold mask approached me, and I recognized her as Eleonor.
Her excitement was grating. "Thanks for always keeping your word. They are two, but will take turns," she said eagerly.
I agreed and entered the room, where a masked girl was waiting on the bed. I didn't like the situation, but I felt like I had no other choice. I needed it, even though I hated it.
Her hands were already around me, and it felt horrible. I gritted my teeth and spoke huskily, just so she wouldn’t recognize my voice later.
“Get to it.”
Her hands shook as she tried to unbuckle my belt, but at the same time, my phone rang. I was about to switch it off temporarily when I saw Molly’s name.
After my conversation with her, I sensed something was amiss and felt the urge to rush home, even though it wasn't part of my original plan.
“Get out,” I said to the girl, as I rushed out to meet Hank in his favorite VIP booth and saw him there.
Throughout that time, I tried calling Molly back, but she wouldn’t answer, only sending a message that everything was fine.
Still, I didn’t believe her, feeling like she was hiding something, so I called Jace.
“What’s going on?”
