                    Molly’s POV
It was very strange how the atmosphere around the mansion changed the moment Gianna walked in.
The maids walked on eggshells, as if they hadn't been mocking me earlier, but Gianni was not alone.
He was accompanied by a tall man dressed in black. With Gianni in all white, there was a stark contrast between the two men.
“Molly, meet Hank, my best friend,” Gianna said. I was stunned, perhaps because Hank was dressed casually in a leather jacket.
I never met any of Gianni’s family members when we dated and also not his best friend but I was glad to meet someone close to him now.
However, Hank’s gaze was piercing, as if he were peering into my soul. It reminded me of the intense gaze Gianni would give me when he was upset.
Upon seeing Hank, Roger rushed to embrace him, making me yearn for a similar bond with him.
Roger seemed to connect better with his father's best friend than even with his father.
“How are you, big boy?” Hank asked as he lifted Roger into his arms. The excitement was palpable, and I noticed how the maids gazed at him in awe.
Hank's gaze lingered on me, and I averted my eyes. There was something peculiar about him, a quality I couldn't quite identify, but I could tell that any of the maids would be eager to be in his company, given his physique reminiscent of Gianni's.
"I'm fine, Uncle Hank. Are we spending the weekend together?" Roger inquired as he playfully donned Hank's cap.
I was surprised to see this playful side of Roger, and I welcomed the change.
"Yes, that's why I'm here," Hank replied, turning to me abruptly. Our eyes met, and his words sent a shiver down my spine. "She's still as beautiful as ever."
I was relieved that he didn't add any disparaging remarks, but I noticed the tension in Gianni's expression.
"Excuse me, have we met before?" I asked Hank, and he flashed a smile at me before Gianni interjected, "You haven't met him, Molly. I just mentioned a few things about you to him."
Seemed to me like male gossip. I could train her too if you want," Hank offered, but I noticed the reluctance in Gianni's eyes and was relieved when he declined.
"No, if she's ready, I can handle that for her."
I couldn't help but smile, but the last thing I wanted was to be left alone with Hank, who kept staring at me strangely.
"You don't have time to train Roger, but you can do it for her?" Hank questioned, causing confusion in Gianni's eyes, but Roger quickly diverted their attention.
"Uncle Hank, can we leave now?"
I was eager for him to go, but he responded, "I was thinking we could leave tomorrow."
Roger and I were both displeased, but Gianni intervened, saying, "Hank, you can leave tonight. It's fine."
After a moment's hesitation, Hank agreed, "Sure, but I'm starving."
If food was the key to getting him to leave, I was more than willing to oblige, so I suggested, "I can cook for you. What would you like?"
I may have made a mistake as Gianni appeared upset. "The chef can handle it, Molly. You're not a maid. Know the difference," he said sternly.
Uncertain about how to react to his words, I still sensed Hank's gaze on me.
"Roger, do you need help packing up? I'd like to spend more time with you," I offered but my words irritated him.
"Stop pretending. You're not ready to deal with Ghost," Roger replied, with Gianni countering, "Roger, not everyone is comfortable with Ghost, and Molly isn't fond of pets. I think Hank can assist you with your belongings while the chef prepares the food."
Hank hesitated but eventually left after receiving instructions from Gianni. He then ushered me to my room and shut the door firmly.
"You need to stay away from Hank, do you understand?" Gianni's tone was serious but I was upset.
“You brought him here, and this isn't my house. Did you expect me to send him away when you brought him?"
Disappointment flashed in his eyes, and I realized we weren't on the same page.
"You shouldn't have offered to cook for him," he said bluntly. I smiled and replied, "My mistake. It won't happen again."
"Okay." His expression softened, and he left. I decided not to leave my room, and no one knocked on my door.
I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up, the mansion was eerily quiet.
None of the maids came to clean my room, which was unusual. When I ventured out, there was no sign of them.
"Jace, where is everyone?" I inquired. He responded, "The boss witnessed everything that happened last night on CCTV, so he dismissed the maids. But don't worry, there will be a new set by evening."
I found it odd that he fired his maids because of me. "Where is he?" I asked, and Jace replied,
"I'm not authorized to tell you his location." I forced a smile, trying not to dwell on calling him after recalling his phone conversation the day I met that lawyer. There must be somewhere he was supposed to be.
Neither Gianni nor Roger returned over the weekend, making the house extremely dull. With the arrival of a new set of maids, I was treated more like the madam of the house than just a nanny and was restricted from doing anything.
However, in moments of solitude, a lyric dropped into my mind. It had been a while since I felt inspired, so I began to write it down.
On Monday morning, Jace informed me, "Boss has asked me to bring you to the office and said you should pick an extra dress for dinner in the evening."
I inquired about Roger, questioning, "What about Roger? He's supposed to be in school, right?" Jace's expression turned stern as he replied, "I'm sorry. You just have to ask the boss."
Upon arriving at the office, Agatha directed me to my office. When Gianni arrived, he seemed upset about something, but I couldn't quite pinpoint the reason.
