                    Giovanni’s POV
Molly was cuddling Roger in her arms, leaning against the tree, and they were both asleep.
Jace was about to wake them, but I stopped him. "No, don’t wake them. Carry Roger gently, and I’ll take care of Molly."
As soon as he tried to take Roger from her, her grip tightened, though her eyes remained closed. "It’s fine, I’m here," I squatted and whispered to her, and she smiled.
"Gianni, thank God you are here." However, her eyes were still closed, as if she was sleep-talking. Jace carried Roger, and I lifted Molly in my arms while Jace carried her shoes.
"You smell so good," she murmured before her breathing evened out again. I supported both Molly and Roger in the back seat as Jace drove the car, wondering why they were both so tired.
Jace carried Roger to his room, and I carried Molly to hers. Just as I was about to go shower, Roger started screaming from his nightmares, so I went to calm him.
"Roger, I’m here. Just sleep." His eyes snapped open, and he asked, "Where is Molly?" Worry shone in his eyes, and I was glad to see them finally getting along.
"She's in her room."
"I don’t believe it. Let me see," he insisted, so I had no choice but to carry him to Molly’s room. When he saw her on the bed, he climbed in beside her and fell asleep.
I didn’t understand what was happening, so I left for my room. I wasn’t hungry and went straight to bed after my shower.
The next morning, I remembered Molly's promise to start working out, so I dressed in my workout clothes and headed to the gym.
Molly wasn’t there when I arrived, and there were only a few minutes left before we had to prepare for work.
I considered waking her up, but he seemed too tired from whatever happened between her and Roger last night.
As I was about to start my workout, the gym door opened, and she walked in wearing sweatpants, a tank top, and sneakers.
Despite my initial urge to ignore the situation, I couldn't help but ask her, "Can you explain why you took Roger to the park?"
Before she could respond, Roger's voice cut in, sounding more excited than I had ever seen him.
"It was my fault, Dad, but Molly was so cool. She beat Wade's mom, and she sings like an angel. Dad, why not make Molly a star?"
I waited for her response, but she turned to Roger and asked, "Does this mean we're a team now? Do you still want me to leave?"
I was equally interested in Roger’s answer but he hesitated, then looked at me and Molly, surprising me with his next words.
"If you're willing to share your voice with the world and be my mom, you can stay. You handled Wade's mom so well."
I recalled the video Jace had shown me, and I had to admit she did handle the situation well. Kiara didn't seem to be a problem for her like Wesley, but Molly appeared to be in a difficult position.
However, Roger's eyes carried an eagerness that left me feeling helpless. "Roger, you can't force anyone to do something they don't want to do,” I chastised him and was about to say more when Molly cut in.
"It's okay. I think it's time to start singing again, as long as nobody laughs if I fail.”
Something stirred inside me, and when I saw Roger embrace her, I felt the urge to kiss her. But I hesitated, afraid of sending the wrong signals.
Even if there was a spark between Molly and me like before, she might still leave me when she learns about my sexuality.
The last time I had my release, it took four professionals women taking turns to make me climax. I couldn't put her through that.
"So, will you be my mom?" Roger asked again, his eyes shining with hope.
"Of course, I'll be your mom," Molly replied, her smile lighting up the room. But little did she know the weight of her words.
"Then that means you're getting married to daddy," Roger declared.
Molly's face paled, and she hesitated before responding, "It's not that simple. We can't just get married, and you have a real mom..." I interrupted before she could finish.
"We have forty minutes before we need to get ready for work. Let's start now," I suggested, trying to ease the tension in the room.
Molly began on the treadmill, and I supervised Roger as he used the equipment he was familiar with.
Molly's exceptional performance on the first day left me in awe before she confided in me, "I used to be obsessed with staying in shape to support my career until it took a downturn."
"Then we can start with defense tactics," I informed her.
As days turned into weeks, I trained Molly daily in self-defense, with Roger providing valuable assistance.
One day as we were working out over the weekend, Roger said to me, "Dad, I love that you spend your weekends with us. I hope you won't see that woman again."
The situation was complex because that woman was his mother and I struggled to articulate my feelings when Hank's call interrupted us.
"Do you mind if I come over? I know it's the weekend, but I haven't had a chance to talk to Molly like you promised." Did I?
