                    Giovanni’s POV
The news prompted me to abruptly halt the meeting as most of the issues had been addressed.
"Agatha, please send the report to me first thing tomorrow morning," I instructed, and she nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir."
As I stood up, I motioned for Molly to follow me before calling Hank on the phone again when we reached my office. "Tell me exactly what's going on."
Hank explained, "You know how I always leave one of my spies in the shadows when I drop him off at school? He called to inform me that there were some strange men hovering around, so I told him to send a picture. Turns out, they are your mother's bodyguards."
I couldn't help but chuckle at the situation. Mom's plan seemed shallow. If she captured Roger, she would try to force me to swap him with Molly, but she seemed to forget that Roger was her grandchild.
"Are you sure you can get him out smoothly?" I asked Hank, to which he replied with a laugh, "I went to the school immediately and picked him up. That's when I realized they weren't after Roger but Molly. They must have caught wind that she goes to pick him up from school."
Finally, the dust was settling after all the chaos. "Alright. Let me talk to him."
"Dad, Uncle Hank came to pick me up an hour before closing, and there were men in black. Are you in some kind of trouble?" Roger's voice came through the phone, and I couldn't help but smile.
I slowly explained the situation to him. "No, Roger. I'm not in any kind of trouble, but you'll be homeschooled for a while."
Even though I decided on Hank dropping and picking him up, I knew we would need to find other means once they were unable to lay a hand on Molly.
"Why?" Roger asked from the end of the line, and Molly's voice chimed in from the sofa where she sat. I didn't know whom to answer first.
"Well, you already know about the bad guys, so let's stick to this arrangement until Daddy deals with them."
“Does that mean I won’t see Mom?"
Molly reached for the phone upon hearing Roger's voice. Their bond in recent times was something special.
"She's here. You can talk to her," I was saying when Hank's voice came through the line before Molly could respond.
"Who are you calling Mom?" Roger retorted. "Molly is my mommy now. Dad said he was going to marry her soon."
"When were you planning on telling me the good news?" Hank sounded annoyed, revealing Roger's secret.
"It was supposed to be a secret. Roger wants to talk to Molly," I interjected.
"Molly, are you alright?" Molly's voice was filled with concern, but Roger's excitement seemed to reassure her.
His demeanor had softened, behaving more like a normal child when speaking to her, contrasting with the coldness I had instilled in him.
"Yes, Mom, how about you? I hope the bad guys didn't hurt you," Roger's protective tone heightened Molly's worries.
"Which bad guys?" Molly questioned, glaring at me as Roger continued speaking on the phone she held, with the speaker activated.
"Dad said he was going to take care of some bad guys."
"Well, I believe he can. I'm glad you're okay. I'll come visit tomorrow, and we can go shopping together," Molly said excitedly, though I knew personal time with her would be challenging.
Roger had taken over her mind. "That sounds like fun, and can Uncle Hank come too?" Roger asked. I responded on Molly's behalf, in case she refused.
"Yes, so he could take you back after you are done shopping with your mom."
"That sounds like a plan," he replied. Molly laughed as we ended the call. It was just the two of us at the dining table, eating food prepared by the chef.
Molly didn't suggest cooking like she would when Roger was around, but I understood. After eating, I carried her upstairs and into the jacuzzi before joining her.
"I forgot to congratulate you for today. You did well."
She smiled and kissed me. "It was all thanks to you."
Somehow, I didn't have to hide myself or feel afraid anymore. The fact that she accepted everything about me was amazing.
Tonight, I took my time to make love to her, and what made everything worthwhile was how she demanded more and kept insisting that I go faster.
Her response to what I would call a weakness turned it into a strength. We went two rounds for the first time in around three hours because she wanted more and didn't seem too tired when it ended.
"I feel like a woman again, Gianni, thank you." She kissed me before drifting to sleep. I woke up with her peppering kisses all over me, but the next moment, she stopped and made a weird request.
