Molly’s POV
After shooting Nicole in the head, I felt guilty but Gianni was able to take it all away.
I loved him and this time, I was so possessive of him whenever I saw the female employees looking flirtatiously at him but what I noticed was, Gianni never even looked at them.
With him, I felt like the only woman in his world, which made me special. For a moment, I wanted to find out more about Roger’s real mom but I always feared ruining the sweet atmosphere he created for me and I hardly heard them talk to each other.
If not for Roger, I would have feared taking another woman’s son but his excitement whenever he referred to me as mom mirrored my excitement.
For some reason, I felt the need to thank Wesley and Kiara for taking everything from me because if not, I would have never met Gianni again.
However, after knowing what he battled, I couldn’t help but continuously wonder if it would have continued without my insistence of his doing it with me.
Now, he wanted me every chance he would get and to be honest, I had gotten addicted to his wildness and hugeness, always wanting him inside of me.
Nevertheless, I couldn’t forget Nicole. She was so tough and though I defended myself pretty well, I knew I had to train more so when Gianni wanted intimacy so early in the morning, I couldn’t allow it.
“Do you mind if we do it after training?” I asked, knowing that after training, it would be time for us to go to work so indirectly, this was my no.
“You want to work out?” He was looking at the time with a displeased look but I nodded. “Yes. I want to know more about guns and knives.”
My request caught him off-guard, making him to pull away from sucking my neck as he stared at me. “You want to learn how to use those?”
I explained, "You taught me a few things about guns before yesterday, but what if it was a knife?"
He smiled, rolled off the bed, and stretched his hands towards me. "Let's go."
Smiling, I grabbed him arm and got dressed before following him to the gym.
We worked out for thirty minutes before Gianni took me through the use of knives, helping me to throw them to a designated spot. It was only at the sound of the alarm that we had breakfast, showered, and went back to the office.
A few hours later, there was a knock on my door at the office, and there was Roger. He ran into my arms, and I carried him.
"I miss you so much darling, you have no idea, and you took Milo and Pip with you," I recalled when I hadn't set eyes on his pets.
"I miss you too, Mom, and I didn't want Milo and Pip to be a nuisance, so I took them."
"You are too mature for your age," I ruffled his hair and pinched him playfully on the cheek. I didn’t like pets but I could tolerate those two.
Still, Roger was thoughtful enough to carrying them along.
"I will go see Gio," Hank said. I nodded and spent some time with Roger before it was time to go shopping.
Taking him to the kids store, he selected some action-oriented video games, and Gianni didn't stop him.
He went around and shopped for a few things himself, and from how peaceful it was, I didn't want anything to change.
We had fun, had a lot of ice creams, and I sang and danced with Roger. "When will he be back?" I asked Gianni, and he was hesitant.
"As soon as everything calms down, he will, but for now, we can arrange for something like this three times a week," he said. Roger and I embraced him together.
"Thanks a lot, Gianni. You gave me the family I always longed for," I said honestly.
"This is nothing compared to what's coming," he said and kissed me on the forehead, making me feel loved.
A few days later, it was time for that dinner he told me about. He had us close an hour before time, as he took me to a clothing store buying me a dress that caused my jaw to drop.
"You want me to wear that?"
“You have to trust me on this," he said pleadingly, before taking me to the beauty parlor and instructing the beautician on what to do. He stayed on the phone throughout and kept typing on it.
He left for a few minutes and returned wearing a black suit. It looked so good on him, but I wondered what had changed. I kept in mind to ask him when the time was right.
I couldn’t recognize myself after the beautician was done but Gianni nodded in approval. “Perfect.”
That was weird. The dazzling wine dress was sexier than something I would wear, and the smokey eye shadow gave me a wild look, complementing the waves of my hair.
By the time we reached the restaurant, most of Gianni’s men were already there, and I felt things were not so simple. Seeing him, they were equally surprised to see him in a black suit, so I asked him.
“What makes this occasion so special to warrant a black suit?” His response made me want to face all the dangers of life with him.
