Giovanni’s POV
I had paid a hefty sum to have those scandalous photos of Molly deleted, even resorting to hacking into phones to remove them so when Erica claimed to have them, I was skeptical.
Don Black was playing games that I found distasteful. After Molly won the competition, he had the audacity to spout nonsense.
"Don Gio, I didn't finish explaining the rules before the process began," he said nervously, sensing my displeasure.
"What do you mean?" I scowled, my anger rising.
"I get to keep the winner and do as I please with her, and you get to keep the loser and do as you please with her."
"How dare you?" I seethed, feeling the urge to confront him.
"Molly is staying with me, and I will find you," I declared firmly, with Hank monitoring the situation through a hidden camera.
"Don Gio, let her go. She can help us locate Don Black's whereabouts. I'll keep an eye on her," Hank reassured me.
"Don Gio, you'll never find me unless you send me Molly," Don Black taunted.
An idea struck me, recalling Erica's disparaging remarks about Molly. Despite Molly's retaliation, I couldn't tolerate her audacity to attack my partner.
"Did you say I can do whatever I want with her?" I noticed Erica smirking at me, casting a disdainful glance at Molly as if she were a rival.
"Yes, Don, you can do as you please with her," Don Black confirmed.
"Fine, I accept the challenge. But how long do you plan to keep Molly?" I inquired, sensing his reluctance to release her.
"That depends on her. If she chooses to return to you, I won't stop her. I just want to prove that given the chance, she would choose me," he explained.
His words struck me as absurd, but I couldn't muster a laugh. Only Molly and Roger could evoke such genuine laughter from me.
"I will find you, Don Black, and you'll regret crossing me," I warned him.
His irritating laughter echoed through the phone before he added, "If you manage to find me, I'll reveal secrets about your family that even you are unaware of."
My fingers unconsciously balled around the phone before I removed it from her ear and returned it to Jamie.
“Is everything alright?” Molly asked me. I forced a smile and relaxed to not scare her.
“You trust me, right?” I asked her. She smiled and nodded, leaning in to make sure nobody else heard what I was about to tell her.
“I suspect Benjie is Don Black, and he wants to see you, but Hank is around and would follow you secretly. If I delay in coming, don’t be afraid of defending yourself, but I will find you.”
She seemed nervous about this one, so I assured her. “Trust me, I will find you, and right now, I’m only using you to confirm his whereabouts.”
I knew Don Black would not harm her because he’s obsessed with her, but I still had to make sure she was well-equipped, and after today, the menace called Don Black would no longer be heard of.
“Okay,” she agreed. Erica was already on her feet and walked over to where Molly sat. “Move.”
Molly stared at me, and I nodded as Jamie beckoned for her to follow him. “Finally, we are together,” Erica said, her foot brushing mine. I removed my pistol and fired it.
A shrill tore from her throat, and I felt she deserved the pain for all that she did to Molly right now.
Molly had reached the door and turned around due to Erica’s scream. A faint smile lined her lips as she exited the door, the same time Santiago brought his phone to me.
“You were not supposed to harm her,” Don Black said, sounding angry.
“You said I could do whatever I wanted with her, and until Molly returns, she could bleed to death,” I said seriously, Erica stared at me like she was seeing a ghost.
There was a way of complicating matters, and I loved to do that. The bodyguards around were nervous because I allowed my bodyguards to come in. “No one touches her," I told Santiago's bodyguards as the guests began to leave one by one, just like last time.
"Don Gio, Erica is not involved in this. Please let her go. She needs medical attention," Santiago pleaded.
I remained unmoved by his plea, observing the woman bleeding as I whispered to her, "This is nothing compared to what I have planned for you for what you did to Molly."
Her eyes widened with pain as she cried, "You are such a demon."
She used her stockings to tie above the bullet wound to stop the bleeding, and Santiago looked concerned.
"Don, this could become public. She could tarnish your reputation with what you've done," he warned.
I stared at him before glaring at Erica, asking, "Are you capable?" She quickly shook her head. "No, not at all."
The fear in her eyes was exactly what I wanted as I whispered, "Even if you survive this, I will find you if you dare to spread lies about Molly, and the next bullet will be aimed at your head."
She trembled, fear evident in her eyes as she begged, "Please, I need my legs. Let me receive treatment before it's too late."
Santiago handed me his phone, and it was Don Black on the line. "Release Erica or Molly will face the same fate."
"If you truly have her, then let me speak to her," I demanded. Though I didn't hear Molly's voice, the sound of items being smashed assured me that she wouldn't disappoint me. However, I needed Don Black alive.
"Jace, Zak, get the bitch treated but don't let her out of your sight. If anyone tries to interfere, declare them missing," I instructed.
Hank's voice came through the earpiece, "Gio, you won't believe this."
