"Seriously Krist, what's going on?" Tay asked confused, trying to hide his smirk as he saw Krist sigh.
"Just hear me out. You have to tell the workers to leave early, except for Singto." Krist tried to keep his nerves calm as he explained to Tay.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Tay tried to hold his chuckle when he heard the other groan.
"Tomorrow we're closing the restaurant for renovation anyway, so ask the workers to take an off from today afternoon. Except for Singto, I want him to stay back."
"And why exactly do you want that?" Tay smirked.
Krist bit his lips, "I-I want to propose him. I don't want us to stay in a loop forever. Whatever his answer is, I'll brace myself for that. In the end, I tried my best."
Tay smiled, he pulled his best friend into a hug which the latter needed very much.
"Everything is going to be okay, Krist. You both are overthinking and I'm happy that at least now you're taking a step." Tay smiled, pulling away he patted Krist's shoulder.
"I'll make the arrangements, don't worry about it."
Krist smiled, "Thank you."
"And what are you planning to do? Make a romantic dinner or something?" Tay teased to which the other laughed.
"I want to take him to the glasshouse." Krist smiled widely showing his dimples and Tay felt happy seeing his friend like this.
"I'm sure Singto can't wait to say yes." Tay winked and Krist felt the back of his neck heat up as he smiled shyly.
"We have plenty of time. You set everything up at the glasshouse after you come back from your mom's house while I'll handle with the workers." Tay patted Krist's shoulder.
"You're the best friend ever, Tay." Krist smiled widely.
Tay rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say."
The two shared a laugh before Tay walked out of the cabin.
Tay chuckled to himself knowing how epic the evening will turn out. His best friend was planning to propose to his crush while his crush itself was planning to do the same.
To say that he wasn't expecting that from Krist was an understatement, he totally knew Krist was planning a move on Singto but he didn't know it would be soon, that too the same date Singto had planned to propose the latter as well.
"How did it go!? Was he suspicious?!"
Singto's voice broke trail of thoughts as he entered the kitchen.
Tay smiled and raised a thumbs up at the latter who sighed in relief making him and other workers laugh.
Singto pouted at his co-workers before he turned his attention to Tay, "So, he won't be here till 6 pm, right?"
Tay chuckled, "He has to meet his mom today, so, along with that I also asked him to do some errands. I told him that I'll handle the restaurant."
Singto smiled wide, nodding his head he kept bouncing on his feet making everyone laugh and tease him.
"So, everyone! It's half-day leave for you guys!" Tay announced and all the workers high fived at eachother.
"At least because of these two love birds we get to go home early." Marium, one of the workers teased Singto who scratched the back of his neck.
"You nervous?" Tay asked, smiling when Singto blushed.
"Well, kind of? I don't know what I'm feeling right now. Oh god! This is too much!" Singto covered his face as he felt his heartbeat rise just at the thought of facing Krist again.
Everyone laughed at the younger's antics.
"Don't worry Sing, Boss is head over heels for you. You don't have to worry about rejection." One of the employees who stood beside Singto nudged their shoulders giving a teasing smile to the other.
"Ok! Ok! Enough of the talks guys. Back to work!" Tay clapped his hands at the workers, he turned towards Singto and smiled at him before he returned to his duty.
Singto walked towards the sink to continue his job with a smile on his face. He was glad that it wasn't a busy day for them. It's a weekday and they had already announced that the restaurant will close from tomorrow onwards for renovation, Tay had already put up a poster that they would close the place today by evening.
He was glad that things were going smoothly. He doesn't know how to express the excitement that is bubbling inside him. There are so many things he wanted to say to the other male, he wanted to apologize to the latter for distancing himself. He wanted to be truthful to Krist and express what he feels.
Even though Krist had told him how he feels about him, after the incident, he doesn't know how the latter will react. But whatever it is, whatever the future holds for them he'll receive it with both his of his hands. Even if it's not the future he wants for himself and Krist. He'll make use of the present and stay loyal to each other.
Singto doesn't remember when exactly he fell for the other man but it came soo naturally. Starting as employee and employer, then to friends who would share there their burdens with eachother and now, if things go as planned, into lovers.
He knew the feeling was mutual but something was pulling him back from confessing. He had always been that person who didn't give much interest to relationships. He did have two relationships in the past but it all came to an end because he wasn't comfortable with the other. He couldn't go along with his past partners' rules and their agendas. So after the first two relationships, he stopped dating. He focused on other things.
So when Krist started to make him feel the spark he never felt, he was sacred whether he wouldn't be enough. That what if it turns out to be like his past relationships. What if things won't work out?
As all these thoughts started to run through his mind, it ached him when he thought he wouldn't get Krist in his life. And he was sure the latter meant more to him than he ever thought.
It might sound clingy and others night ask how he could feel that when to a person you only met months ago. He doesn't have an answer to that but he does know that Krist meant a lot to him and while the chance still stands he's going to make the most out of it.
"Tay! You better have an explanation for this!" Singto glared at the road in front of him as he drove the van back to the restaurant, his phone on his left ear as he scolding the man who's responsible for his embarrassment.
"Come on! That was a mistake. Sorry, Sing." Tay apologised from the other side, the smile in his face not leaving him.
"Seriously! You asked me to take goods that weren't even ordered! I made a fool of myself at the garage!" Sinvto puffed his cheeks.
"I told you it was a mistake! I'm sorry."
Singto rolled his eyes. "It's already past 6 pm Tay! What if Krist is not there at the restaurant or worse, when he comes none of the employees is there! What would we do!?"
Tay tried to hold a chuckle listening to the panic in the other's voice.
"Don't worry about it Sing. If Krist is mad he would only ask me, you don't have to worry about it." Tay smiled when he heard a sigh from the other.
"And, don't overthink. Krist is just on his way to the restaurant. You better hurry up." Tay smirked.
"Okay then. I'm 5 minutes away from the restaurant. I'll hang up now." Singto said softly.
"Okay then. All the best Singto! I can't wait to have you as my brother-in-law!"
"Tay!" Singto felt himself blush as he heard the other laugh.
"Okay okay, I'm going to hang up. See ya." Tay smiled.
"Bye."
Singto stuffed his phone in his pocket as he took the last turn towards the restaurant. He narrowed his eyes when he saw the top floor of the restaurant decorated with golden lights. He pulled the van at the parking lot of the restaurant and got down hurriedly.
His eyes widened when he saw Krist's car parked in front of the restaurant. His heart started to beat fast as he ran inside the restaurant.
"Krist?" Singto's eyes widened when he saw the man he was supposed to confess to, leaning against the balcony door with a smile adorning his face.
"I thought you were still going to address me as Boss." Krist smirked as he walked towards Singto.
"What-what are you doing here?" Singto mentally facepalmed at the question he asked.
Krist chuckled, "I should be the one asking that. All of the employees left, why are you here?"
Singto raised his eyebrow. Weren't Krist supposed to be mad at the fact that the employees let early and the shopped closed already?
"I-I was asked to go to the garage by Tay." Singto replied, trying to seem as nonchalant as ever.
"Then, did you get the goods?" Krist tried to hold his smile as he saw the latter pout and shook his head.
"I want to show you something, come with me." Krist took Singto's hand in his and dragged him to the balcony.
"Where are you taking me!? Hey!" Singto was beyond shocked as the other male started pulling him upstairs.
"Relax Lion, I'm not going to eat you." Krist chuckled, he knew that Singto must be blushing as the latter turned silent.
"Here we're!" Krist left Singto's hand as they reached the second floor of the restaurant.
"Wha-wow!" Singto flet his breath hitch at the sight in front of him.
The second floor was a glass storey. He knew about it before but he never went there. Every employee was restricted to go to the second floor as it was still not open for restaurant purpose.
"Shall we?" Krist put his hand forward for Singto to take it.
Singto glanced at the hand in front of him. Even though he was confused about what was happening, he took the latter's hand and the two walked inside the glass storey.
"You-you prepared this?" Singto asked, gulping as he saw the table in the middle set up like a candlelight dinner with his favourite food.
"Yeah, I did." Krist pulled out a chair for Singto who thanked him as he sat.
"Did you like it?" Krist asked as he settled opposite to Singto.
Singto smiled widely showing his full teeth, his eyes filled with joy making Krist smile wider showing his dimple. "I loved it, Krist."
Singto looked around. He could see the stars up in the sky. Golden lights decorating the room and rose petals scattered on the table in front of him. It felt soo romantic and he could feel his heart thumb fast at the possibilities of why Krist had put this up.
"Krist-"
"Let's have dinner first, shall we? I know you might be tired." Krist smiled, tilting his head as he stared at Singto making the other's heart skip a few beats.
With blushing cheeks, he looked down as he nodded his head.
Neither of them said any words as they continued to have their dinner with a glass of wine at the side.
The couple stole glances at eachother occasionally and they could feel themself blush when they're caught staring at eachother.
The two stared at eachother's eyes as they continued eating, neither of them backing down as if it was a match on staring at eachother. The intense gazes were sending shivers and making them feel butterflies in their stomach but neither of them backed down.
Singto smiled finally and Krist followed, soon the table was filled with laughter as the love birds stared at eachother, shaking their head at their own childishness.
"So, why did you arrange these all?" Singto asked when the laughter died down.
Krist cleared his throat. He took a sip from the wine glass before he faced Singto.
"Singto, I - I want to say something important to you." Krist cursed at how sloppy the line left.
Singto smiled shyly, "Yeah?"
"First of all, I'm sorry for that day. I shouldn't have done that without your permission. It was my mistake and I apologize for that." Krist sighed.
Singto reached out to place his hand on top of Krist's on the table making the latter gasp.
"I didn't reject you remember? That shows that I was okay with it. If anything I should be the one who should be apologising. I ignored you the past weeks without any valid reason and it made you stress on it. I'm sorry Krist." Singto's puppy eyes and the small pout on his lips were making Krist feel ashudderr run down his spine.
"We both made mistakes and we realised it. This was a cat and mouse play and I hope we can end that today." Krist smiled leaned forward as he took Singto's hand in his.
"I know it's soon to say this but, I love you Singto. I love with my whole heart. I don't know what the future awaits us but, this moment, you're the only person in my heart. The short time we had come to know eachother made me realise you started to know me more and I started to do the same. And may I ask you, would-"
Krist stared at Singto confused as the latter covered his mouth.
"I won't let you be the only one who has that. I had prepared for this too." Singto replied shyly as be pulled his hand away.
Krist chuckled at the remark, he was more than happy hearing that from the other. That meant he also loved him, right? That he was ready to give them a chance, right?
"I had my own insecurities, and I was scared to confess because I didn't want this relationship to end. I was afraid whether it would work in the end. But when I saw you getting hurt by what I was doing, it ached my heart. Then I knew, I shouldn't overthink and focus on the gem I have in my hands now. That it's not soon to fall in love, that I just let go of thinking about the future and cherish what I have now. So..." Singto smiled.
"Wait!" Krist smirked at the latter.
"Shall we say it together?" And Singto laughed at the question nodding his head.
The couple stared at eachother. A beautiful smile playing on both of their faces. Singto's eyes glanced back from those hazel eyes to the dimpled cheeks, his favourite site. Smiling wider as they held each other's hands, already knowing the answer to their confession.
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
