Peraya Delight - Chapter 27: Chapter 27

Never in a million years did Arthit Rojnapath think he will become a stalker. Well, you can't blame him, that person he was stalking has become an important part of his life and Arthit doesn't know how that happened.
Arthit pulled his hood further down as to hide his face as he followed his interest who was walking along with his friends.
Arthit smiled under his mask when he heard the doctor laugh.
He knows he's being weird, after that incident with the doctor he had been feeling a little guilty because he lashed out on him when the doctor was only trying to save him.
He wanted to apologize to the latter but his ego was not letting him give in so when Pete asked him to join him at the bar where his boyfriend and his friend would be there, at first he refused. But later on, he decided it was a good chance to apologize to the doctor.
After that, he started to meet the doctor more on different occasions. Once he met the latter during an event were successful personals were present. Arthit was surprised to see Kongpob there and being congratulated for handling the case of rural people who were diagnosed with different types of heart diseases. Arthit and Kongpob did talk with eachother and Arthit apologised for not recognising him. Kongpob was one of the famous cardiologists in the country and Arthit said to the latter that he was lucky to be treated by Dr Kongpob Suttilak.
Kongpob had laughed softly and retorted jokingly that 'well it wasn't much of a luck for me', to which Arthit and Kongpob shared a laugh.
Afterwards, Pete would say that he's going to meet up with Aim's friends and unknowingly Arthit told he would like to join for his friend's utter disbelief. Soon Arthit started to tag along with Pete to meet with Aim and Kongpob's friends' circle, most of the times Kongpob wouldn't be able to join them which disappointed Arthit but he knew the latter had other matters to handle. When Kongpob used to be present Arthit was more than excited, even though they only spoke a few words or exchanged greetings between the time they spend together Arthit felt butterflies in his stomach each time he spoke with the cute doctor.
Not only that, due to Kongpob he learned to open up to others. He became good friends with Kongpob's friends' circle, to his surprise he enjoyed the company.
Pete even pointed out that Arthit's behaviour has changed, not only to himself but to other stars in the industry too. He started to appear for free and easy to approach. Not to mention the frequent visits Aim and Kongpob pays to the building of A&P which helped to make both Arthit and Kongpob know eachother and turn out to be mutual friends.
And now, here he's after overhearing Pete's conversation with Aim that Aim and Kongpob are going for a night out with their friends.
Arthit doesn't know what made him do this but he wanted to know Kongpob as a normal person, not the doctor who he usually finds him in. And to say the truth he got to know a lot about the latter today, within these 4 hours he has been secretly watching him.
He came to know that Kongpob likes to drink coffee and he likes to talk a lot with his friends. Kongpob was joyful and always excited about everything. Arthit found out that the latter liked bland food, at first when he heard Kongpob's Oder at the open-air restaurant Kongpob and his friends are at. he thought Kongpob just chose that extremely bland meal for a difference or something else. But when one of his friends teased Kongpob for still having bland taste making Kongpob glare at his friend and slap him on his head Arthit understood the latter loved the bland food.
If you would see his expression while having that bland dish, you would think that was the tastiest meal in the world. And that was the reason Arthit ordered it for himself too, but the rockstar was tricked. Being a person who loved spices Arthit couldn't even stand the meal that he ordered, he tried his best to not spit it out. He didn't want to waste the meal so he asked for extra spices and added it to the dish so he could eat it without trying to throw it out.
Arthit gasped when Kongpob and his friends suddenly stopped on their tracks. Arthit didn't realise they have reached far away from the busy town and was in front of a park near the bridge.
"I'll get going now. See you guys." Arthit heard Kongpob speak at his friends.
Arthit made sure to move away from the group of friends and he pretended to watch the children at the park play.
"See you then Kong, we should hang out like this another time. Missed these days a lot." One of Kongpob's friends which Arthit remembers to be Tew patted the doctor's shoulder.
"Let's discuss it according to our schedule." Kongpob smiled at them.
Arthit watched from the corner of his eyes as Kongpob waved at his friends who took cabs to return home. He quickly turned his gaze away when Kongpob turned around. With batted breathes he closed his eyes when he heard footsteps coming close to him.
Arthit pulled his mask up further, hiding himself more while he tried to focus on the little kids playing in the park.
"It's fun watching children play, isn't it Arthit?"
Arthit stiffened when a person came to stand beside him. Arthit peeked at the latter, gulping down the urge to speak.
"Finished with your stalking rockstar?"
Arthit gasped out loud when his hoodie was pulled down and he came face to face with a softly smiling Kongpob.
"I'm not removing your mask because I don't want others to see that the famous rockstar is here." Kongpob chuckled.
"H-How did you know?" Arthit breathed.
Kongpob laughed, making Arthit smile hearing it. "I'm not a fool to not notice the person who keeps on following me everywhere I go. I saw you multiple times behind me and my friends. I recognised your voice when you helped that lady who you bumbed into at the street with her grocery bags."
Arthit gaped under the mask and nodded. "I-I'm sorry."
Kongpob bit a grin back, "Come with me. Let's take a walk, it's a good climate now."
And like that Arthit and Kongpob started walking side by side, neither of wanting to break the surprisingly comfortable silence.
"So, why were you stalking me? Don't tell me you just coincidently saw me and thought it was a good idea to follow me." Kongpob stated as he leaned against the railing of the bridge.
Arthit slide down his mask, putting his hood on he looked at Kongpob. There were only a few people taking walks on the bridge and they were not paying attention to others.
"I'm sorry." Arthit bit his lips.
Kongpob rolled his eyes, "Come on rockstar! When we met first I thought you're soo rude and I'll never get to hear an apology from you. But now that we're friends you keep on saying sorry for no apparent reason."
Arthit chuckled when he saw Kongpob pout, resisting himself from pinching those cheeks that were puffed, annoyed.
"Ok....well, I have something to say to you." Arthit looked up at the latter, smiling nervously.
"Yeah...you do, a lot." Kongpob rolled his eyes.
"You're cranky." Arthit muffled a laugh when he saw Kongpob glare at him.
"Really? Says the one who lashed out on me for saving his life."
Arthit groaned, "Hey! I said sorry."
Kongpob giggled and the soft sound made Arthit's heart skip a beat. Arthit closed his eyes praying that his palpitation issues don't rise now because he can feel his heart beating fast.
"So, what do you wanna say?" Kongpob leaned his back against the rail and pocketed his hands inside his jeans, feeling chilled at the breeze that caressed him.
"Right...." Arthit wetted his lips, his eyes cast down.
Kongpob watched the rockstar's face fill with nervousness, he raised his eyebrows at how the once confident man was fidgetting in his place.
"Arth-"
"I like you!"
Kongpob gasped, his eyes turned wide as he tried to register what Arthit said.
"Wh-what did you s-say?"
Arthit took a deep breath, he looked up, staring straight at Kongpob before he repeated his statement confidently.
"I said I like you Kong, I love you. I-I don't know when this happened but I started to like you romantically. No one has ever made me feel the way you did. Unconsciously you changed me to a better person. Your words of encouragement whenever you see me down when we get together with friends, the passioned doctor you're, and most importantly the person who you're made me interested in you."
"The hard work you put into everything, the sincerely you have towards your friends, the smile you always hold even when you're dead tired makes you a wonderful human being, Kong. Without realising I started to fall in love with who Kongpob Suttilak is, not the doctor who everyone sees. I want to get to know you more. Will you give it a try, Kong?" Arthit related out and held Kongpob's hand in his.
Kongpob blinked, no one has ever said something soo sincere about him. Everyone envied him, no or saw the hard work he had put into things but only said words out of formality. No one looked behind the facade of a doctor he had put up. The pure interest and love he saw in Arthit's eyes as he said those words melted his heart.
You're useless Kongpob!
You'll never make your partner happy being like this!
You never cared for me! All you want is your job!
If you ever get a partner, that person will be the unluckiest in the world!
Kongpob closed his eyes when those words rushed into his mind, shutting his whole system, making him tremble.
"Kong?" Arthit's softened more as he stared at the shaking figure, he could feel Kongpob's hand in his shake.
"Are you okay?" Arthit tried to reach the other's face but Kongpob opened his eyes and pushed himself away from Arthit.
"Kon-"
"I can't do this Arthit, we won't work out. This is not a good idea." Kongpob shook his head. I don't want to hurt you.
"But-" Arthit's eyes widened when Kongpob raised his hand.
"I'm giving you a chance now, Arthit. You'll regret it in the end. I'm telling you to leave me, stop falling for me, rockstar." Kongpob gave a bitter smile to the other.
Arthit bit his lips, his hands touched his chest. His heart was thumping too fast and it was making him feel breathless.
"You better go back home, Arthit. Don't want anyone to see you. And don't worry, you'll find another person who'll be worth for your love." Kongpob but his lips from crying as he saw the fallen face of the latter. He noticed how the rockstar was clutching his chest but he couldn't think about it at the moment.
Kongpob waved at Arthit before he turned around and walked away, not knowing where the road will lead to. He needs time alone, to think about what happened.
Arthit gasped. He pulled out his pills from his pocket and took two of them. He leaned against the rail and stared at Kongpob's figure that was walking away.
Arthit get a hold of yourself! He's just confused! Show him you're worth it! That's he's worth it! Afterall .... Arthit gets what he wants.
Arthit took a deep breath before he sprinted towards Kongpob who hasn't walked too far.
Arthit grabbed Kongpob's hand from behind making Kongpob turn to face the rockstar who was staring back at him as he breathed heavily.
"You didn't even try, how would you know this will work or not," Arthit said in between as he tried to maintain his breathing.
Kongpob sighed. "Arthit, please. I told you this won't work because I know it. You'll find a better person tha-"
"Stop giving me that bullshit!" Arthit glared at the doctor who visibly flinched at the outburst.
"I don't need someone better! I need someone who sees me as who I'm, not as a rockstar. I need someone who makes me feel butterflies each time I see their smile. I need someone who I love! I need someone who I feel free to love! And Kong, you're the one for me at this moment. I don't anyone else." Arthit pleaded as he ended his words.
Kongpob bit his lips, feeling all sorts of emotions. His heartfelt heavy, too heavy that he just wanted to crumble down.
"I don't want to hurt you." Kongpob let out a sob.
Arthit was surprised at Kongpob's reaction. He took a step forward and cupped Kongpob's cheeks.
"What are you saying? You won't hurt me Kong, and I'm sure of it. How do we know what the future lies? Just...just give us a chance, Kong." Arthit smiled softly when dark eyes pooled in tears looked up at him.
Kongpob shook his head, he couldn't do this. He doesn't want the past to repeat. He doesn't want to hurt a wonderful person as Arthit.
Arthit sighed seeing Kongpob's reaction. He let his hands fall on his sides and took a step back. He wanted to stop this but his heart said this was worth it. Where did the stubborn Arthit go?
"Okay then, let's make a deal." Arthit started after a minute of silence.
Kongpob looked up as he wiped his tears.
"Give me a chance Kong, 5 Chances. I'll take you for 5 dates, even after that you think this relationship is not going to work out then I won't stop you." This was the last straw Arthit had to pull the doctor close to him.
"But-"
Arthit held a hand up, stopping Kongpob from speaking further.
"Yes or no."
Kongpob chuckled, "You're stubborn, aren't you?"
Arthit's lips curved up, he just winked at the latter.
"Okay, deal." Kongpob smiled softly. Five dates won't be that bad, right. He still doesn't have any feelings for the rockstar, he'll just make sure he'll not fall for the latter.
"Should we seal it with a kiss?" Arthit raised an eyebrow as he smirked.
Kongpob's eyes widened, his cheeks painted a shade of pink as he punched Arthit's chest.
"Go away!" Kongpob turned around making Arthit laugh.
