Kongpob walked towards the building of the third year's classes and walked towards the class where he had determined to go.
Kongpob's legs moved to a particular class on the second floor and peeped inside through the window until he got a clear view of the person he wanted to meet.
Kongpob looked at the lecturer who was taking the class and sighed as he waited for the class to get over.
Kongpob was restless as each second passed, he wanted to answers today. Answers for all of the confusing events that have been happening around him.
Kongpob jolted when the bell rang. He looked expectantly inside the class and saw the lecture taking his books and walking out of the class.
Kongpob moved aside and stood behind the window, trying his best to not get caught by other seniors.
When most of the students walked out of the class, chattering and in their own world, Kongpob looked inside the room and saw the person he had to meet and his friends were still there.
Kongpob took a deep breath and entered the class.
The five seniors who were inside the class were shocked when they saw Kongpob. Four had the same expression of shock while one was having pain in his face.
"Swadee Kharp, can I talk to P'Arthit?" Kongpob asked, his voice soft and sweet, his eyes shined with hope.
"I have nothing to talk to you," Arthit said, his eyes cold as he looked at Kongpob making Kongpob burn in pain inside.
Arthit has never talked to Kongpob so harsh. He has always been soft and sweet when he talks even though he has a bad temper.
"P'Arthit, please...." Kongpob pleads, his eyes soft and glittering in the light.
Arthit looked at his junior and he regretted that choice. Kongpob was looking at him with his puppy eyes which Arthit will never able to resist. His heart melted when he saw Kongpob's pleading face.
Arthit closed his eyes and tried to compose himself.
"No, go away Kongpob. Please leave me alone, why would you follow him here and there to let me talk to you? Aren't you tired?" Arthit shouted, his eyes not meeting his junior's.
Kongpob's palm turned into a fist. His lips placed together in a thin line.
"P'Arthit, what happened to you? You have changed! Why are you asking me all these questions? You know I and you have been best friends for a long time. Doesn't I want to know what happened to my friend?"
Kongpob's words struck Arthit like thousands of arrows. Arthit knew he would never be more than a friend to Kongpob, but the hope he had inside told him one-day Kongpob will change his status from friends.
"Just...just get lost! Come, guys, we have to go," Arthit took his bag and walked out of the class followed by his confused friends.
When Arthit passed by Kongpob who stood in the middle of the class, Kongpob stopped the elder by his hand.
"What is it P'Arthit!? You have been ignoring me for the past two weeks! You have never done so! Did I do something wrong? Please P, tell me what the problem is. I'm worried," Kongpob's voice started to shake.
Arthit looked at his write hand which was held by Kongpob and sighed. He pulled his hand out of the grip and looked at Kongpob with his piercing gaze.
"You didn't do anything wrong! It is me! It has always been me! Just get lost Kongpob, I don't want to see you again! Please stop coming after me!"
Arthit marched out of the class leaving a confused Kongpob behind. Kongpob didn't understand what was happening.
Arthit rushed out of the class and ran towards the washroom, followed by his friends who called out his name.
Arthit punched the wall as soon as he entered the washroom. His knuckles turning red with a hard impact.
"Fuck!" He cursed.
Knott, Prem, Bright and Tootah rushed into the washroom and looked at their friend whose face was red in color with anger.
"Arthit? Did you lose your nuts!? Why did you say that to Kongpob?" Prem asked his friend.
Arthit glared at his friend and shook his head.
"It's none of your business," Arthit dismissed as he decided started to walk out of the room but was held by his friend's hand.
"None of our business? Seriously, Arthit? We are your friends and we have the right to know what is happening to you!" Tootah scolded his friend.
"Yeah, Man! Do you know? It's been weeks since you have been avoiding Kongpob. I don't know what is happening between you both. It's all soo confusing," Bright rolled his eyes at Arthit.
Arthit looked up at his friends and sighed. He was trying to control himself from the flooded emotions in his heart.
He was trying to endure the piercing pain in him because of the harsh words he had said to Kongpob.
"Please leave me alone. I am doing this for Kongpob, Rin and...and...for myself. I can't be wrong with this decision."
Tootah's hand that was on Arthit's fell down as he shared a look with his friends.
"What are you telling, Arthit? What are doing for whom? This doesn't make any sense!" Knott, for the first time, opened his mouth.
Arthit looked up at his friends with wide eyes, he felt to slap himself for letting his emotions take over him.
"It's nothing, guys. Just leave it," Arthit laughed awkwardly at his friends and tried to take them out of the washroom to their class. But his friends didn't budge from their place.
"Arthit you better say what's going on! We are not leaving you!"
Arthit gulped, his palms started to sweat. He looked at his friends with nervous eyes.
He sighed.
Kongpob walked to his class with his head hung low, flashes of Arthit's feriece gaze flashed through his mind.
He couldn't help but think about what was wrong. Just two weeks back they were happy and was together. He even talked to Arthit about the 'White Rose' person's letter, but then suddenly Arthit started to ignore him
"Kongpob!"
Kongpob looked back at Aim who was running to him from the locker which was not so far away from him with a pink envelope in his hand.
"Kong! There is one letter!" Aim said as he gave the envelope in his friend's hand.
Kongpob looked at the letter and sighed.
"I will read it later," Kongpob as he pocketed the envelope in his pocket.
"Huh? Usually, you would open it as soon as you get the letter. What happened today? Are you fine?" Aim asked, his voice filled with concern.
"No, Aim. I'm fine. Just some headache," Kongpob said and smiled at Aim.
Aim narrowed his but soon nodded his head.
"Okay then, take proper rest. If anything is there call me. I have to go to May."
Kongpob watched his friend walk away from before he walked towards the garden of the campus.
He sat on a bench near a tall tree and took out the letter.
Dear Kongpob,
I have been thinking about you, about us, for the past few weeks since I started writing to you. Crushes are a wonderful thing, but when your crush changes into your lover, your boyfriend, there is nothing better than that feeling of butterflies flying in your stomach.
You are my blood now, you are the air that I am gasping to inhale in great amounts. You are the one who always occupies my mind and I couldn't help but ask you this question, aren't you feeling tired already after running 24 hours in my mind and heart?
I think its time to finally end this game of love that I started with you playing this game along with me without knowing who I am. I'm surprised you didn't make an effort to search for me. Let's meet up and provide an ending to the game of love and create a new chapter of our love story, our journey.
Yours lovingly,
White Rose
P.S. Meet me at the park near your university at 4 pm and find a wooden bench with number 6 on it.
"Today at 4?"
Kongpob glanced at his watch, it was already passed 3 at the moment.
Kongpob doesn't know what was happening. The things that he had calculated in his mind was not matching the situation he was facing at the moment.
He re-read the letter and tried to compose his minds with the thoughts that were running around his mind.
Kongpob took his phone and tried to call his best friend.
"Hello, Rin? Are you busy today?"
Kongpob sighed when his friend said she was busy and will call him later.
Kongpob thought to call Aim to accompany him but he decided against it as he thought it was a thing he should handle alone and no one should know what will be happening between the two persons.
Kongpob walked to the towards the park near his university where the letter had directed into.
He walked towards a bench with number 6 written on it which the letter told him to find.
He saw a small red card on the bench with a white rose on it. Kongpob took the note in his hands and saw something that caught his mind but decided to slip it.
Hi Kong,
Walk towards the 10th tree from your right side. It's to reveal who this lover of yours is.
I'm eager to meet you!u
Yours lovingly,
White rose
Kongpob looked to his right side and started to count as he walked ahead.
Kongpob stopped when he reached the 10th tree and looked around to find if anyone was at the place.
Suddenly there was a hand that wrapped Kongpob's eyes which made the latter shake in surprise.
Kongpob caught the two hands that wrapped his eyes and turned towards the person who was giggling.
"Rin??" Kongpob looked at his best friend in surprise.
"What are you doing here?"
Rin smiled shyly at Kongpob, scratching the back of her neck.
"Well, I am the White Rose."
Kongpob gasped in shock, his feets moving a step back from Rin.
"Kongpob, I know you might not be expecting me here. But, I love you for a long time Kongpob. I was afraid to tell my feelings to you, I was afraid if you would turn me down." Rin sighed. She walked towards Kongpob and took his hands in her's making Kongpob flinch.
"I love you, Kongpob. You are the one who I see my future with. Please be my boyfriend," Rin asked, her face blooming with happiness and at the same time sweating in nervousness.
"Who wrote those letters?"
Rin looked at her crush with confusion filled in her eyes. She couldn't believe that after what she had conveyed to Kongpob, this was the question he has asked her.
"Ughhh...me?"
Kongpob raised an eyebrow at Rin at her answer.
Rin sighed.
"Well, it's not me. I'm not as romantic as you, I know that you are very romantic and your small gift of love like these letters, chocolates and all. And I sought P'Arthit's help." Rin caressed Kongpob's hand in her's and took a deep breath.
"He was the one who wrote the letter in my name and told me this idea of inviting you to this park and all. Even though he is the one who wrote these and told me this idea. I'm really in love with you, Kong. I love you soo much. Will you be my boyfriend?" Rin asked again, her excitement not decreasing at all.
Kongpob sighed and took his hands back from Rin's hands and looked at her confused eyes.
"I'm sorry, Rin. I love someone else. I am really sorry about this. Please forgive me," Kongpob spoke, his voice soft and calm.
Rin's eyes filled with tears.
"W...Why Kong? I thought you don't love anyone, you didn't even tell me about this."
Tears started to roll down Rin's eyes.
"I'm sorry, Rin. Please don't ask me anything. I have to go somewhere."
Kongpob smiled apologetically at his best friend and flooded away from the scene, leaving a crying Rin behind.
Arthit closed his eyes and let his tears roll down his cheeks as the images of Kongpob being with his sister flashed through his mind.
Arthit clutched onto the pillow in his bed and pressed his face into it before screaming with his full energy.
The lights of his room were turned off, the only light was from the glass door of the balcony. The darkness helped Arthit to ease his pain more and let out the throbbing pain in his heart.
Arthit couldn't imagine how he will handle to see his long-time crush with his sister from the next day onwards. He was the one who gave Rin the idea to reveal her identity to Kongpob that day, even though his heart said the opposite.
Arthit's breathe was stuck in his throat when he heard a knock on the door. He wiped his face and sat up straight before he turned the lights on.
Arthit flinched when the person behind the door started to bang on his door.
Arthit stood up and checked his face on the mirror, his eyes puffy and red, his cheeks red and dry tears on his cheeks.
Arthit took a deep breath before he opened the door, to only get smacked by a pair of lips to his.
