Kongpob ran down the stairs when he heard the doorbell ring.
"Dad!"
Kongpob rushed into his father's arms, not minding the two people who were behind him.
"Hey, my boy!" Kerkkrai ruffled Kongpob's hair.
Kongpob smiled but it soon faded when he saw the two persons standing at the door. He pulled away from his father and cleared his throat, he knows the lady who's standing at the door but never has he seen the boy standing near her with a dimpled smile displayed on his face.
"Kong, I want to tell you something." Kerkkrai cleared his throat.
Kongpob bit his lips as he nodded, he kind of knew what his father was going to tell and even though he was not a fan of what is going to be said he'll try to digest it.
"You already know that I and Achara are in a relationship, and well...I- I proposed to her a week before and decided that we would stay together here."
Kongpob stared at his father, devoid of any emotion he just nodded his head surprising Kerkkrai and Achara.
"You're okay with it?" Kerkkrai asked with wide eyes.
Kongpob sighed, "If I say I'm not okay then what will you do? Find some other place for both of you to stay? I don't want that. I want my dad to be with me and if this decision makes you happy then I have no issues. I just want you to be happy."
Kerkkrai smiled widely before he engulfed his only son in his arms, "Thank you Kong, thank you so much. I love you."
Kongpob smiled and nodded his head against his father's chest.
Kerkkrai pulled away from his son and gestured his fiancé and the boy to come inside.
Achara nudged the teenager beside her before they walked inside.
"You have already seen Achara so I don't think there is any need for an introduction." Kongpob nodded at his father, he gave a polite smile and waied at Achara who smiled back sweetly at him.
"And this is Arthit, Achara's son that I mentioned." Kerkkrai introduced the boy beside Achara.
"Hi, Kongpob! Nice to meet you," Arthit put forward his hand for a handshake as he smiled at Kongpob.
Kongpob just raised his eyebrow and stared at the extended hand. He didn't like the creepy smile of the other boy, it made him feel things that he didn't like. He just glared at the other's face, not particularly showing any emotion.
Arthit bit his lips and gave a puzzled chuckle before he retreated his hand away.
"Well boys, I think you both can be good friends. And Kong, he's transferring to your high school too. So you both will have more time communicating." Kerkkrai patted his son's shoulder.
Kongpob's eyes widened at what his father said. Now he not only has to bear the presence of this annoying boy at his house soon, but he also has to endure it at school too. Wow, just fantastic.
"When are they going to move in?" Kongpob tried to escape the strong gaze Arthit was giving towards him.
Kerkkrai scratched the back of his neck, "Well, today."
Kongpob's gaped, "What?! And you're telling me now!"
"Sorry son," Kerkkrai gave an apologetic smile.
"Whatever," Kongpob mumbled before he excused himself and walked towards the stairs to his room.
"Kong!" Kerkkrai called out making the said latter stop on his tracks as he turned around to face his father.
"Take Arthit with you, he's new here. And I would like you and Arthit to stay in your room."
Kongpob doesn't know how disastrous his life can become anymore.
"Why does he has to stay with me!?" Kongpob whined. His eyes accidentally met Arthit's and he felt a tug inside him when he saw the fallen expression of the latter.
"Kong, don't speak like that!" Kerkkrai gave a tight gaze to his son, Kongpob cleared his throat and mumbled a sorry.
"The only other room left is having the storage room upstairs. With a few months, I'll have someone to move the things inside to the storage room downstairs and will make it a bedroom for Arthit. Just wait till then, Arthit is going to be your stepbrother soon anyway."
Kongpob wanted to pull his hair out and groan but he couldn't, he didn't want to make his dad feel pressured so he just nodded.
Kongpob looked at Arthit and raised an eyebrow, "Are you coming?"
Kongpob practically groaned when he saw the wide dimpled smile of the other, he just hated it. He doesn't know why but he just hated the carefree attitude of the other boy.
Arthit nodded his head and rushed towards Kongpob following him.
Kerkkrai smiled as he watched Kongpob and Arthit walk upstairs. He gazed at his fiancé who had a worried expression on her face. He walked towards her and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"What's wrong?"
Achara gazed at Kerkkrai and sighed, "I hope Arthit and Kongpob get along well. Kongpob doesn't seem happy."
Kerkkrai smiled, caressing Achara's cheeks softly he kissed her forehead.
"Don't worry, Kongpob just need some time. I know my son, he'll soon get used to everything. And don't worry, he likes you and Arthit. You guys will get along well."
Achara smiled as she nodded her head.
"Now let's help the workers to get the boxes inside, shall we?" Kerkkrai stretched his hand forward for Achara to take.
Achara giggled before she took her fiancé's hand and both of them walked towards the truck parked outside the house.
"Wow, your room is soo neat," Arthit exclaimed as he took a walk inside his step brother's room.
Kongpob rolled his eyes, "Everyone keeps their room neat, nothing special in it."
Arthit chuckled at the nonchalant reply from the latter, "Well, you should have seen my room at our house. It's too messy that I don't have the energy to clean it."
"Say you're just lazy," Kongpob mumbled but Arthit heard it clear.
"Hey! I'm not lazy!" Arthit pointed his finger at the other boy.
Kongpob groaned, he didn't have the energy to argue back.
"Whatever! If you make a single mess around here or displace anything in this room, you'll see another face of mine." Kongpob glared at Arthit.
Arthit walked forward towards Kong, and leaned in towards him making Kongpob gulp as he stared at Arthit's face which has a smirk on it.
"Will that face be more beautiful than this?"
Kongpob's eyes widened, he could feel the back of his neck heating up. He pushed Arthit away and walked towards his bed as he sat on it making Arthit giggle.
Kongpob occasionally glanced at Arthit who was now walking around the room as he checked around, Kongpob took the book he was previously reading from the nightstand and started continuing from where he stopped.
"Why are you soo annoyed at me?"
Kongpob snapped his gaze at the other male who was staring at him as he leaned on his study table.
"Huh?"
Arthit sighed, "From the time I came here with mom you don't seem to like me or at least treat me like a friend. Is it because your dad and my mom are getting married? Are you angry at me for that?"
Kongpob gaped like a fish, he didn't know what to say. He cleared his throat and straightened himself as he stared at the fallen face of Arthit and it somehow hurt him.
"No-I-don't-It's not like that," Kongpob gulped. HE cursed himself for behaving like that.
Arthit pulled away from the study table and walked towards the door.
"I-I'll check if mom needs my help." Arthit cleared his throat before he exited the room.
Kongpob groaned out loud, he laid on his bed with his face buried onto the pillow and screamed his lung out.
Kongpob punched the bed like a little boy during his tantrums.
He doesn't know why he's irritated at Arthit, it's not like he doesn't like him, it's just that the guy makes him think they both know eachother for a long time.
Arthit doesn't even show any hesitation in being friends with him and coming into a new house, that too his soon to be step-dad's. He doesn't know how Arthit takes everything soo lightly.
He hates the fact that he can't behave the way Arthit does. He hates the fact that Arthit seems soo unbothered by what was happening in their family.
He hates that Arthit makes him feel safe deep inside, he hates that Arthit somehow, within the few minutes he has known him, has already found a place in his heart.
He just can't accept what is happening around him. He knows that his dad and Arthit's mom has been in a relationship for more than two years. He has never interfered in his father's love life. From the time his mom died after giving birth to him, it was all about him and his dad. Everything surrounded around him. Kerkkrai had been that wonderful father for him, always took care of him, been a father and mother to him.
When Kerkkrai confessed to him that he has fallen in love with another person, at first he was shocked and took time to understand the situation. Achara visited their house a few times and she had always been nice to him. Kongpob got to see how happy his father was so he decided that it was the best decision to support his father.
After all these years of being alone with his dad and all the things surrounding him, it was hard for him to invite more people into his home.
Kongpob lazily sat upon his bed, he sighed thinking how pathetic he felt.
He got down his bed, placed the book on the nightstand and walked out of his room. He could hear laughter and giggles from downstairs and it made him curious.
He walked towards the stairs and leaned on the railing as he watched his dad, Achara and Arthit helping eachother with the boxes and laughing at something they said.
Kongpob bit his lips when he saw his father ruffle Arthit's hair bringing a beautiful smile on the pale boy's lips.
Arthit looked happy and his eyes were shining at the affection Kerkkrai was showering him.
Kongpob's eyes unconsciously moved towards Achara who was smiling fondly at the two in front of her. He remembers that Kerkkrai once told him that Acahra's husband had passed away when her son was five years old in an accident. And deep down he felt happy that Arthit was getting the love he craved for from his father.
He bit his lips, maybe he can be happy too if he let himself loose.
But it was hard for him, he didn't know why but it felt soo hard to let others enter inside his safe heaven.
"Kong!"
Kongpob straightened when Achara called out for him, his cheeks started to hear up as Arthit and Kerkkrai looked up at him.
"Come down son! Will you help us!" Achara flashed a beautiful and cheerful smile at Kongpob which unconsciously made the teenage boy smile back.
Kongpob nodded his head as he walked down the stairs towards his new family.
Achara smiled widely, she started chatting with Kongpob while they put in the boxes. Kerkkrai couldn't be happier seeing his son smile and responding to Achara.
His eyes fell on Arthit who was staring at Kongpob, a nervous expression on his eyes. Kerkkrai patted Arthit's shoulder making the boy look up at him.
"He'll come around soon, he's just not used to other people coming between me and him. I hope you understand dear."
Arthit smiled widely showing his dimples, "I understand."
Kerkkrai nodded his head before they resumed what they were doing.
Kongpob and Arthit bumped into eachother as they moved here and there as Kerkkrai and Achara guided them with boxes. Kongpob was already glaring at Arthit whenever the latter purposely brushed their shoulders together or took the boxes that Achara asked Kongpob to take.
"Kong, can you take that scissors for me!" Kerkkrai asked his son.
"I'll take them!" Arthit replied even before Kongpob could say a word.
Kongpob stomped his feet feeling irritated. He glared at Arthit when the latter directed a smirk at him.
Kerkkrai chuckled seeing his son behaving like a toddler, he thanked when Arthit handed him the scissors.
Arthit went back and leaned against the wall with Kongpob just a few feet away from him. He sticks his tongue out at him making Kongpob clutch his fingers.
"You-"
"Boys! Can you take the last boxes from the porch!?" Kerkkrai interrupted his son before he could lash out on Arthit.
Kongpob sighed, taking a deep breath he nodded his head. He gave a last glance at Arthit and walked towards the porch.
Arthit shook his head tiredly before he followed Kongpob.
The two silently took the four boxes from the porch, two with each of them. Kongpob walked ahead with Arthit following him behind.
"Guys! Be careful!" Achara called out from where she was helping Kerkkrai to set the other boxes.
Just as Achara said those words Arthit bumped into Kongpob from behind making Kongpob fall with a scream.
Arthit's eyes widened when the boxes in his hand started to shake and one of them slipped from his hands making its content fall on Kongpob who was already on the floor.
"Ouch!" Kongpob screamed when comic books started to fall upon his head.
"What happened!?" Achara and Kerkkrai rushed towards the scene. Their steps halted when they saw what had happened, they exchanged a glance at eachother before they broke into a peal of laughter.
There, Kongpob was on the floor, his eyes glaring at Arthit with an open book on his head. The box that was in his hand was on his leg now while Arthit stared down at a fuming Kongpob with his eyes wide and mouth gaping like a fish. His cheeks flushed red in embarrassment as he held onto the only box that didn't slip out of his hands.
Kongpob practically had steam coming out of his ears as he threw daggers at Arthit. His nose was flaring as he stared at the innocent face that was staring back at him.
"Arthit!"
Kerkkrai and Achara laughed harder when they heard Kongpob's scream. It's going to be real chaos having both these teenagers stay together.

        "Dad!"
Kongpob rushed into his father's arms, not minding the two people who were behind him.
