"Please Kong! Please, my little prince!"
Kongpob rolled his eyes, "Singto! You're unbelievable!"
"Thank you, Kong! I love you!" Singto launches himself on Kongpob, his twin brother, making the other grunt as he held his brother in his arms.
"I'm only doing this because she is Krist's grandma."
Kongpob narrowed his gaze at his brother who nodded his head.
"Of course, Kong. You're the best!"
"I know that," Kongpob shrugged his shoulders proudly making the other laugh.
"Krist's parents don't trust anyone easily and you know that, right? They have been looking for a good doctor for yâa, but they don't have enough trust in them. But they'll trust you since Krist said you're his friend. You understand right?"
Kongpob chuckled, nodding his head," I do, Sing. You don't have to worry about it."
Singto smiled softly nodding his head, "Let me call Krist and tell him you said ok."
The other twin can only smile as he watched his brother rush out of his room. With a chuckle Kongpob laid back on his bed, resuming to read the book that was left unattended after his brother interrupted his reading.
He couldn't help but chuckle once again remembering how Singto whined to him to take Krist's grandma as his patient. Sure he would have taken her without a second thought but he loved to see Singto whine towards him, pleading to him. Even though they both are twins, Singto was the firstborn by a minute's difference yet he acts like he's older than him by years, thus babying him all the time. So he loved to see Singto stoop down to his level and behave their age. Not that he didn't love all the babying he receives from Singto. He was his Little Prince after all.
Krist being Singto's boyfriend, Kongpob knows about his family though the latter's side doesn't know about them. Krist hadn't yet declared that he is in a relationship to his parents though the two had been together for a year now. But Kongpob's family knew about the relationship, they had always been open to all forms of love and they never judged their children based on who they choose to spend their life with.
And they understand that Krist has his own hurdles, not knowing how his family would react. So they haven't pressured him either.
Coming to the task in his hand, he knows that Krist's grandma, Khun Apsara, is a diabetic patient and she had been hospitalized on several occasions due to high sugar levels. And since he is an RDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist), the best choice for Krist was to ask for his help.
It wasn't only because she was Krist's grandma that he took the case, it was also because he has a soft spot for elderly people. He lost his grandparents from both sides when he was a teenager and he loved them a lot, the loss of them had made him feel down in the past. Hence, he was excited to meet yâa Apsara, he has heard from Krist that she was a very beautiful and loving lady.
"Come on, Kong, we're here."
"Oh," Kongpob looked up from the medical chart in his hand at Krist who was beside him on the driver's seat. The latter's soft smile made him smile back as he nodded. Following the other's action as he got out of the car.
Krist gave him Apsara's medical chart and other details the day before after Kongpob had agreed to treat his grandma. He had looked through it at night and wanted to read it once again before directly meeting his patient.
It's Thursday and Krist had taken half day's leave from his company to pick up Kongpob and accompany his grandma during the checkup. The only people who are at home will be his mom, Achara, and his grandma. Along with the few workers at home. His dad and his brother would be at their company.
He didn't want Kongpob to go alone to his house. He's his boyfriend's brother after all and he wanted to make a good impression in front of him. It's the first time the latter is going to meet his family. He didn't want Kongpob to feel awkward with the unfamiliar faces, though he knows he is a doctor.
"The place looks soo beautiful, Krist." Kongpob looked around the place with a huge smile. There are a lot of flowers and plants around and it was giving a welcoming vibe to the huge bungalow.
"Thanks, the garden is mom and dad's idea. They would spend time in the morning and the evening walking around the garden. It's lovely, a romantic place for them alone." Krist said it with such a sweet smile on his face that Kongpob could see that he might be thinking about Singto at the moment.
"That's soo sweet, Krist."
The look on Krist's face was the same as the way he looks at Singto, the love and adoration flowing endlessly. Kongpob knows that his twin brother is in good hands.
Kongpob followed Krist into the latter's house. Kongpob couldn't help but smile as he heard Krist calling out for his mom, announcing that yâa's doctor was there.
"If anything makes you uncomfortably, do tell me. Ok, Kong?"
Kongpob nodded assuringly at the other male who smiled back. He then spotted Krist's mom, Achara, walking down the stairs. Smiling politely at him when their eyes met.
"Mom, this is Dr Kongpob Suttilak. And Kong, this is my mom, Achara." Krist formally introduced the two to eachother once Achara stood beside him.
"Good afternoon, Dr Suttilak." Achara smiled wide.
"Good afternoon, Khun Achara. It's a pleasure to meet you." Kongpob waied at the elder who waied back.
"Mae is in her room, might be reading her book now. I will bring her to the living room," Achara informed, turning around to make her way to her mother-in-law's room.
"It's ok, Khun Achara. Let her be there, I'll come over to her bedroom if that's ok?" Kongpob offered.
Achara smiled wide, pleased with the younger's attitude. "Sure, Dr. This way please."
Krist let out a sigh of relief seeing his mother smile at Kongpob. He knows that his family doesn't trust outsiders much, they only consult their family doctor for medical purposes. And only consult other doctors suggested by their family doctor. The last time they had a doctor for his grandma, the doctor had accidentally given a different Medicine which caused an allergic reaction to his grandma. And since then they're very cautious of the doctor other than their family doctor.
And seeing how Achara was warming up to Kongpob he knows that she and his family will trust him soon with his yâa.
"Mae, there's someone here to see you," Achara knocked on Apsara's door. Opening it after she heard the elder women approve her to open the door.
"Who is this young man here?" Apsara removes her reading glass and kept it aside on the nightstand with the book she was reading, looking up at the unfamiliar face who stood between her daughter-in-law and grandson.
"Hi Khun Apsara, I'm Dr Kongpob Suttilak, RDN. I'll be your personal doctor from now on if that's ok with you?" Kongpob smiled wide, respectfully bowing his head at the elder woman.
"Aw, he's such a gentleman! Of course, I won't mind having such a gorgeous doctor for myself," Apsara smiled wide at the new face, her response making her two family members chuckle.
"It's my pleasure, Khun Achara."
Apsara shook her head, waving her hand," Aw, please call me yâa, I prefer it that way."
"Sure, yâa Apsara," Kongpob giggled, taking a step closer to the bed.
"So, can I start my checkup?"
"Of course," Apsara nodded, smiling brightly at the young man.
Kongpob nodded, taking a seat beside his patient. He started to ask her questions, getting information on her issues of health and energy. After they were done conversing Kongpob checked Apsara's blood pressure using the sphygmomanometer.
"Your pressure is a little high, other than that I see no issues. You seem to be really healthy too, yâa," Kongpob smiled softly at the elder.
"I need you to get a Fasting blood sugar test and A1C test tomorrow, I'll come by early in the evening tomorrow so that I can see the results and confirm the treatment I have to start. Is it ok with you?"
Apsara nodded her head with a smile giving the young doctor a thumbs up making Kongpob giggle. He looked up at Achara who nodded at him.
"Ok then, I'll take my leave now. See you tomorrow,yâa," he bowed at the elder who reached up and placed her hand on his hand, blessing him. A wide smile stretched across Kongpob's lips at the small action.
Krist led Kongpob outside the room while Achara had a small talk with Apsara before she walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
"Get the tests done tomorrow, I just wanted to know what the current state of results is even though she took these tests just a few weeks ago," Kongpob explained to Achara who nodded her head.
"And Krist, let me know when the results come in so if I'm free I'll try to come early as in by afternoon. Ok?"
Krist smiled, "Sure, Kong. I'll let you know."
Kongpob nodded, facing Achara once again, "I'll take my leave then."
"Thank you, Dr."
"It's my duty."
"I'm really thankful that you took your time to personally come and check on Mae, Krist did mention that you were busy and weren't taking patients from outside. Thank you, Dr."
Kongpob smiled, "Krist is a close friend of mine. It's the first time he has asked for help from me that relates to my profession. I couldn't say no. And it was soo great to meet you all, I feel warmly welcomed here."
A broad smile bloomed on Achara's lips. The young doctor was such a polite man and his way of talking and body language impressed her from first sight.
Bowing at eachother Kongpob turned away to walk out, towards Krist's car.
"I'll go drop him, Mom," Krist informed, getting a nod from his mother he followed Kongpob.
Silently getting into the car Krist drove out of the driveway.
"You said to her that I'm really busy, huh?" Kongpob wiggled his eyebrows.
"Well, isn't it true?"
Kongpob chuckled, shaking his head.
Krist glanced at the other before turning his focus back on road, "So, what do you think?"
"About?"
"About my family."
Kongpob smiled wide, "They're awesome! Your Mae and yâa are such sweethearts! I can already guess how nice your father and brother would be!"
"I'm glad to know that, Kong. I guess I got your approval on that?"
Kongpob laughed, nodding his head continuously," Yes! Yes! You did brother-in-law."
Krist chuckled, staring at the road ahead of him. "I just hope that they accept me."
The smile on the other's lips fell, and Kongpob pressed his lips together in a tight smile. He can understand how the other might be feeling. Krist loves Singto a lot, he had seen it through the time they had been in a relationship.
"Don't pressure yourself on that ok? I know that this is something new to you and will be new to your family but in the end, if they truly love and care for you they'll accept you. Though it might take some time."
"Singto loves you and he's willing to wait for you to open up to your family as you please. I suppose he isn't pressuring you, right?"
"Of course not! Sing is very much understanding of my situation and my feelings and I'm blessed to have him in my life."
"Good, if you said otherwise I would have slit your throat," Kongpob playfully made an action with his thumb across his neck, to lighten up the atmosphere inside the car and he was pleased when he saw Krist laugh.
Krist is thankful that Kongpob didn't judge him, just like Singto, when he opened up his worries. This is why he loves to talk to Kongpob, the latter is childish and playful even though he's a doctor and carrying on his further studies, he still maintains that character in him. Living up to the names his family and Singto calls him, baby Kong and little prince.
But at the same time, the latter is good at giving encouragement and support. He had heard plenty of praises about Kongpob from his boyfriend himself and as he gets to know more about Kongpob he can't help but agree that all of it is true.
There are times when he doesn't want to worry Singto too much about his fears and insecurity -sure Singto knows about it and the sole reason he still stands strong against his insecurities are because of his boyfriend's presence- he finds himself opening up to his boyfriend's twin, who has become a good friend of his.
"Oh, my dear brother is waiting for you I guess," Kongpob wiggles his eyebrows, removing his seatbelt as he watches Singto jog towards the car after they stopped it in the driveway.
Before Kongpob could open the door Singto opened it from outside.
"How was it!? Did you talk with Mae and yâa!?"
"You're already calling them Mae and yâa, huh?" Kongpob smirked when he spotted Singto's cheeks turn pink.
Krist smiled warmly, staring at his lover's flushed face, the sight making him feel butterflies.
"Uh-well, I-I am talking to you about them! Why should I care about what I call them?"
"Oh, so you'll call them whatever you want in front of me?"
"I didn't say that you idiot!"
"Now tell me, how was it?"
"You're gonna have a hard time when you marry Krist, you're in-laws are evils! Beware, Sing!"
"Huh!?"
Krist laughed hard as he walked towards Singto, wrapping his arms around the stunned and confused man. Planting a kiss on his cheek.
"He's just joking, love."
Kongpob giggled when Singto glared at him, he stepped back when his twin tried to reach out for him, his hand raised to either twist his ear or land it on his body. But thankful to Krist, the latter held back his lover. The two of them laughed.
"Don't worry, Sing. Your mother-in-law seems to be such a caring lady. She's really sweet! Yâa Apsara too, she's such a lovely lady. Imagine how the others would be?"
A sigh of relief left Singto's lips. Replacing with a small smile. He looked up at Krist who smiled wide at him, the dimple on his left cheek visible.
The pale hand on his waist ran soothing circles over his skin. Giving a sense of assurance to Singto.
"Geez! You guys are making me feel as if I'm invisible, I'm going inside!" Kongpob rolled his eyes playfully as he walked away from the couple, knowing that they need time to themselves.
Singto glared at his twin while Krist chuckled beside him, wrapping his arms around the other's waist.
"You ok, love?" Krist reached up to caress the other's hair that fell over his forehead. Singto found himself melting into the touch.
"Hmm, I'm. I was just-you know? Tensed?"
Krist smiled, nodding his head. "I understand. I promise you, love. One day I'll introduce you to the whole world that you're mine. Just-Just wait for me, ok?"
Singto bit his lower lip, stepping closer to his lover, laying his head on the other's chest.
"For you, I can wait forever if you promise me that you'll not leave me alone, Krist."
Swaying their bodies softly Krist kissed over the crown of the other's head.
"Never, Sing. Not in this life and not in any other either."
"Ok, so your test results show that your sugar level is quite high, yâa."
Kongpob narrowed his eyes playfully at the elder woman who chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. Even though it has just been a day since they got to know eachother they both seemed to get along well and Apsara had been kind and sweet toward Kongpob.
"And you forget to take your medicines too, Khun Achara did mention it to me."
Kongpob takes the medicine packets in his hand and takes out pills from them, intending to give them to Apsara but that's when he realised the jug on the table was empty.
Just as he was about to stand up he saw a figure walk into the room, he immediately recognised the latter as he smiled, and though he felt as if something looked different about the familiar face in front of him he decided to ignore it.
"Hey Krist, can you please fill this jug, please? Yâa has to have her medicines."
Kongpob doesn't know why but a smirk stretched across Krist's lips as the other chuckled, taking the jug from his hands without uttering a word.
"That's not Krist, honey," Apsara said as she chuckled, making Kongpob's eyes turn wide."It's his twin, Arthit."
Kongpob smiled shyly at the latter, now he understood why he felt a different vibe around the latter. Now that he focuses on the other male he can see that Krist and Arthit have minute differences between them.
Arthit's eyes were dark brown while Krist's were black. Arthit had his both ears pierced while Krist only had one of them pierced. Just like that, there was soo many other details that made them different.
"Hi, Khun Arthit, I'm sorry, I thought you were Krist," Kongpob stretched his hand forward as he stood up, which Arthit took happily, shaking their hands.
"Hi Dr Kongpob, it's a pleasure to meet you, and please call me Arthit. Don't be sorry, it's not the first time that someone had mixed us up. It happens to our parents at some point too."
"I just wanted to meet yâa's new doctor, whom everyone seems to like a lot. Especially, yâa," Arthit eyed his grandma who smiled widely at him, shaking her head.
Kongpob laughed, the soft sound of it somehow raised Arthit's heartbeat that it surprised him.
"Oh! I'm flattered."
Arthit smiled back, his dimples on display which gained the young doctor's attention. Arthit now understood why everyone in the house liked the doctor in such a short time. Kongpob's presence felt soo warm and homely. Though he has just met him for minutes now he can someone feel as if Kongpob was someone you could freely talk to.
"If you don't mind, can I?" Kongpob pointed at Apsara after their silence was broken when the elder woman cleared her throat.
"Yeah-Yeah, sure," Arthit nodded his head, scratching the back of his neck. "I'll bring go get the jug filled."
Kongpob nodded, "Thank you."
After the latter walked out of the room Kongpob turned around, taking his seat on the chair beside Apsara's bed.
"He's good-looking, don't you think so?" Apsara asked, wiggling her eyebrows with a smirk on her face.
Kongpob's eyes widened for a slit second before he tried to laugh at the other's question, "He's your grandson after all."
Apsara broke into a fit of laughter at the other's remark. Her laughter makes the young doctor laugh along too. Once they were back to normal Kongpob took Apsara's chart and went through it once again.
"So, yâa, I want you to slowly maintain your sugar level, it's quite high and it can be alarming. At this age, it might lead to serious health problems like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, nerve damage and so on. We don't want that to happen, do we?"
Kongpob looked up from the chart, "You'll need to focus your diet on more fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains. These are foods that are high in nutrition, and fibre and low in fat and calories. You'll also have to cut down on saturated fats, refined carbohydrates and sweets."
Kongpob chuckled when he saw how Apsara's face fell when she heard the last sentence that he said.
"Sugary foods are OK but only once in a while."
Apsara pouted, sighing, "I'm gonna die one day anyway, what's the use of all these?"
"Yâa! What are you talking about!?"
Kongpob turned around when he heard the familiar voice behind him, seeing Arthit walk in with the jug filled with water. This time he was able to recognise Arthit at first glance.
"What? I'm saying the truth," Apsara shrugged her shoulders.
Arthit pinched the bridge of his nose," She's always like this, Dr. We're tired of telling her to talk such talks."
Kongpob smiled, turning to face his patient."Come on, yâa. Don't you want to see your grandsons getting married one day?"
"I do."
"Then you have to stay healthy for that, to live a long life with them and see all steps they take in life."
The elder laughed, shaking her head."Aw honey, but life is not in our hands,"
Kongpob nodded his head, "Exactly! It isn't but we can do our best to live a healthy life instead of calling death to us early, right? Do you prefer the last moments of your life to be in the bed, being a patient of high-risk diseases? Lots of medicines and being bedridden? Do you want yourself to be in extreme pain,yâa?
I know that we cannot control the future, maybe even after all the precautions that we take life gives unexpected turns but that doesn't mean your wish to have a healthy life can be shattered, we can still take precautions for this to not end in a serious note and that's what we're doing now,yâa."
"Besides, don't your loved ones want to see you health till the time you're with them?"
Arthit couldn't help but feel a stir of emotions inside him after hearing Kongpob say that. He didn't trust Kongpob at first before he met the latter, but since his mother, brother and grandma said that the young doctor was such a sweet, polite gentleman he wanted to meet the man in person and makes sure his grandma is comfortable with him in reality. He wanted to make sure his grandma wasn't lying about anything for the reason of not making them worry.
He's very much attached to his yâa so she means a lot to him. He wants to make sure she is in good hands and now, seeing and hearing Kongpob in person he thinks Kongpob is the right choice.
"I-I never looked at it that way," Apsara mumbled.
"I love you for this. You're such a precious child," Apsara reached forward, placing her wrinkled palm on Kongpob's cheek, the action making the two men smile.
For the next few minutes, Arthit watched with a smile on his face as Kongpob fed Apsara her medicines, reprimanding her for not having her medicines on time.
"I'll take my leave now, yâa. I'll set a meal plan that fits your health goals and food preferences. And will note the small changes you have to make in your routine. I'll let you know about it when I come over tomorrow."
"You'll be here tomorrow too?"
Arthit felt his neck heat up when he realised what he asked. It was just meant to be in his mind.
Kongpob turned towards him, nodding his head as he smiled, "Yeah, I want to explain the meal plan to her and everyone in the house too. And explain the changes it can bring. After that, I'll check up on her weekly or in between when I get time too."
"Oh, ok."
Arthit watched as Kongpob bid goodbye to Apsara, before walking out of the room. Later Arthit followed the other.
They stopped in the living room when Kongpob started to explain his diagnosis and the plans he was taking to handle the situation to Achara and Krist who were in the living room.
"And make sure to have her walk at least 39 minutes a day, it will help with the body's functioning. I'll let you know the final plan on what to do and what not to when I arrive tomorrow."
Achara nodded her head, "Thank you, Dr."
"It's my duty," Kongpob smiled. "I'll take my leave now."
Kongpob glanced at Krist and nodded his head. The latter was dropping him back home, which was just an excuse so he could see his lover.
When he turned to leave he noticed Arthit standing behind him, a few feet away.
"Bye," Arthit smiled.
Kongpob shyly nodded, giving a small wave with his hand, "Bye, Arthit."
Krist narrowed his gaze at the two. Definitely noticed how soft his brother behaved towards the doctor.
Singto had been watching his brother for a while now. Kongpob was gathering his things to leave with Krist, to check up on Apsara of course. But nowadays Singto thinks there might be some other motive behind these visits. When he mentioned it to his boyfriend, even Krist agreed.
And not to mention that Krist had told him that his twin, the ever soo workaholic, takes time off from the office on the days that Kongpob comes over to check on their yâa. Which has caused further suspicion.
There was something in the way Kongpob and Arthit interact, according to Krist. He couldn't pin point what exactly was going on but he had an idea.
"Ready to go?" Singto leaned against the door frame, a small smirk playing on his lips.
Kongpob smiled wide, taking his bag as he turned around to face his twin.
"Yup! I will be back soon."
"Uh-Uh," Singto nodded, chuckling. "Well, Krist said that Arthit and his friends are at home since it's Sunday."
Singto observed how the corner of Kongpob's lips stretched a tidbit, his eyes sparkled but the other soon masked his expression.
"O-Ok, but why are you telling that to me?"
"Oh yeah, why would I?" Singto rubbed his chin, acting as if he was thinking before looking at his brother."Do you mind telling me, my little prince?"
"You're not making any sense," Kongpob cleared his throat, walking past Singto."I'm leaving, bye."
"You look cute by the way!"
Kongpob stopped on his tracks hearing the other's teasing voice. He looked down at himself, bitting his lips. He was just wearing an oversized lavender hoodie and black jeans.
He turned to eye his twin suspiciously before puffing his cheeks and stomping away.
Singto muffled a laugh as he followed Kongpob downstairs, to the driveway where his lover was waiting for Kongpob.
It wasn't like Kongpob couldn't drive a car or hire a driver but Krist insists to drive him to his house on every check-up date because well, the other claims that, this way he'll have more time to spend with Singto and see him. The explanation had made Kongpob act as if he was puking and Singto felt all those butterflies in the pit of his stomach, blushing as he stared at his lover who himself had his ears turn pink.
"You asked him?"
Singto rolled his eyes when Krist asked him in a whisper as they watched Kongpob get inside the car, reviewing Apsara's medical chart.
"He's still in denial, he didn't even tell me anything! His own brother!"
Krist laughed, "Well, did you tell him when you fell in love with me?"
"Uh-" Singto scratched the back of his neck, "No?"
"I thought so."
Singto puffed his cheeks, playfully slapping Krist's shoulder, "But this is different!"
"Yes-Yes, anything you say, love."
Krist leaned forward to capture the other's lips, smiling when Singto clutched onto his shirt, pulling him closer.
"Should I see you both kiss every time we leave!? For god's sake, he's no one is going away to another country!"
The lovers pulled away, laughing when they heard Kongpob shout from the car, his head out of the car's window.
"You'll understand us when you're in our place, little prince," Singto crossed his arms against his chest, smirking at the other who for no particular reason, blushed at the comment.
"Come on! Let's leave, we can't be late." Kongpob shrugged his shoulders.
The couple looked at eachother, breaking into a peal of laughter before Singto pushed Krist away, telling the other to not make his brother more impatient than he already is.
When Kongpob stepped inside the Rojnapath's house he heard a lot of chatter from the living room and he immediately guessed that it might be Arthit and his friends. And he was right, except that he didn't see Arthit among them which made him feel down though he didn't show it. Maybe the latter was out for a few minutes or in his room.
Kongpob tried his best to walk away without gaining their attention but one among the four seated on the couch noticed him and immediately approached him with his goofy smile.
"So you're Dr Kongpob!? It's so nice to meet you, we have heard a lot about you!"
Kongpob's eyes widened a little, a slight excitement bubbled inside him from what the pale tall man said.
"You heard about me? From whom?"
Kongpob doesn't know if he should be cautious or suspicious when he saw the latter smile widely, with a hint of mischief at him.
"Aw, Arthit tal-"
"Bright, shut up!"
The young doctor watched as a bulky guy stood up and stepped towards their friend, giving a warning gaze at him.
"Don't scare him, Bright. Have some manners."
The said guy turned towards Kongpob, giving a polite smile.
"Hi, I'm Knott. It's nice to meet you."
The doctor nodded his head, "Hi, it's nice to meet you too."
"I'm Bright! And that is Tootah and Prem!" Bright immediately introduced himself and the other two.
Kongpob glanced at the two males seated over the couch who smiled softly at him.
"You should get going, sorry for interrupting your time." Knott apologised while he tried to give Bright signals to stop talking.
"That's ok. Please excuse me now." Kongpob smiled, excusing himself he walked towards Apsara's room.
Krist who had silently stood beside Kongpob all this while, crossed his arms against his chest as he looked at Arthit's friends.
"So, Arthit talks about him, huh?"
Before Bright could open his mouth, Tootah stood up rushing to stand beside Bright.
"Oh well, not really. He said there's this new doctor who's looking after yâa now. That's all," Tootah gave a sheepish smile to Krist while the other twin just stared at him.
Kongpob knocked on the door to his patient's room before getting inside. But the sight that greeted him made his eyebrows furrow.
"What are you doing?" Kongpob glared at Arthit who was seated beside Apsara on the bed.
"Well, you can see what we're doing," Arthit replied nonchalantly while Apsara raised an eyebrow at her grandson.
Kongpob blinked. He wasn't expecting such a tone from Arthit, and it somehow made him feel crushed inside. Arthit looked irritated.
"Yâa, I told you to not eat sweets or did he bring it for you?" Kongpob turned to face Apsara.
"Aw dear, I was craving some cake so Arthit got me some," she gave a sheepish smile to the young doctor.
"But Yâa! I told you not to have them."
Apsara bit her lips, "You know how much I like them."
"But Yâa, you can't have them it's -"
"Stop!"Arthit stood up absurdly, "You stop talking to Yâa like that!"
Kongpob gasped, "I wasn't -"
"Who are you to tell her not to eat her favourite food?!"
"I'm her doctor," Kongpob stated as a matter of fact.
"Yeah, some low-class doctor only here for our money! Stop controlling what my Yâa should and shouldn't eat!"
"Arthit!"
Arthit blinked, hearing his grandmother and brother shout out his name. He raised his gaze to find Krist and his friends standing by the door, stunned at the scene that was unfolding in front of them.
"I never thought you would be such a person, Arthit," Kongpob felt angry tears whelm up in his eyes."You're such a senseless man."
Glaring at Arthit he turned around, marching out of the room.
"Kong! Wait! Where are you going?" Krist followed him.
Kongpob stopped in his tracks, taking a deep breath before he turned to face the other male, "I have self-respect, Krist. And I won't stay in a place where that is violated. I'm sorry, but I won't come here to check on Khun Apsara anymore."
Krist doesn't know how to react as he watched Kongpob massage his forehead.
"Can you drive me back, Krist? Or I can call a cab."
"No, I'll drop you off." Krist smiled at the other, patting his shoulder before he directed him to walk ahead.
Krist turned around, finding his brother's friends staring at him worried. Sighing he followed Kongpob.
"Arthit! That wasn't right!"
Arthit turned to face his grandma, his fists clenched tight.
Apsara pinched the bridge of her nose, "He brought me cake two times a few days ago when I said I was craving it, which wasn't allowed according to my diet. I know I'm not allowed to have them this week but well, I asked you to buy me one today but you shouldn't have been soo rude to him!"
Arthit bit the inside of his cheek, "I-Yâa, I'm-"
"I don't want to hear you." Apsara turned away, indicating clearly that she doesn't want to talk to Arthit.
With a sigh Arthit walked out of the room, his friends following him.
"What happened to you there?" Knott placed a hand on his shoulder, "Are you still stressed about the office stuff?"
Arthit gulped, not knowing what to say. It was clearly his fault. He was frustrated and stressed from work and he kind of kept it in his head.
"And you took that stress upon him?" Tootah let out a sigh of disbelief.
"I thought you liked him," Prem raised an eyebrow as he stared at his friend.
Bright shook his head sympathetically, "Oh man, you fucked up."
Arthit groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.
