Carol exclaimed, pointing at Laura. "Everyone, capture her! Don't let her escape! Don't let her escape!"
The people in the lab pressed the alarm button.
The laboratory alarm blared instantly.
Phoenix held Laura tightly and ran towards the corridor. "I've seen it, all their data is on the top floor, we can go there now."
Laura looked worriedly towards the dormitory. "But I want to go inform Zayn and the others."
Phoenix replied, "What about the data?"
She handed another USB drive to Laura. "These are two USB drives, the black one contains the virus, and the white one is for copying. This is what Blade wanted me to give you. Let's split up and act separately, Phoenix."
Phoenix was concerned. "But this isn't safe. What if they come after you?"
Laura shook her head resolutely. "Phoenix, don't worry. My brothers are very powerful. As long as I wake them up, they can help me."
The corridor flashed with red alarm lights. After much hesitation, Phoenix finally set Laura down on the ground. "I'll be back soon. I'll go control the main door to open it. Let's split up and act."
Laura nodded and rushed towards the dormitory.
With the piercing sound of sirens, Zayn jolted upright from the bed.
Everett was pressed onto his leg, crying out in pain, "Ah!"
Jasper and Xander woke up in succession, looking toward the source of the sound, all of them looked at each other in confusion. 'What's going on?
'What's with the alarm?
'Where's Laura?'
With a stern face, Zayn ran towards the door, followed closely by Jasper and Xander.
Everett also realized what was happening and hurriedly looked for clothes to wear.
Laura headed straight for the dormitory door but was suddenly blocked by someone.
Yvonne stood among the girls, glaring fiercely. "Laura, are you leaving after stirring up trouble here? Grandma Carol has already returned. Don't resist in vain, come with us now."
Laura frowned, looked around, suddenly realizing something, then turned and ran.
Yvonne chased after her from behind. "Don't run!"
But Zion and Flora grabbed Yvonne. "Yvonne, no loud noise in the corridor. And no running."
Yvonne suddenly realized. 'Oh, right.'
"Let's line up and chase after her," Yvonne said.
The crowd responded, "Okay!"
Laura panicked and turned around, only to see Yvonne and her group lining up and walking towards her.
She was speechless. 'What's going on?'
She stood at the end of the corridor, puzzled.
Yvonne pointed at her. "You stand there and don't run. No loud noise or running is allowed here. When we catch up to you, we'll hand you over to Grandma Carol."
Laura's eyes lit up. 'No running or loud noise?'
She became interested. "So that means, you guys won't come running to catch me, right?"
Zion and Flora poked their heads out. "Of course not, we're well-behaved kids in our department."
Laura smirked and ran past them.
Yvonne stared in astonishment. "What are you doing?"
Laura brushed past them without looking back and ran around the corner.
She had originally planned to take a detour.
Since they were so obedient to the rules, what did she have to fear?
Yvonne shouted, "Laura."
Laura turned back. "No shouting allowed in the corridor."
Yvonne panicked and covered her mouth. "Oh, right."
She urged, "Let's continue our ladylike advance."
Flora and Zion nodded vigorously. "Yes."
But a few people hurriedly rushed past them, shouting, "Have you seen Laura?"
Yvonne choked up, pointing in the other direction. "She went that way."
The staff rushed to chase after Laura but then realized. "Why didn't you catch her when you saw her just now?"
Yvonne blinked in confusion. "Didn't you say we couldn't run outside? Isn't this right?"
The staff was speechless. 'Seriously?'
They gritted their teeth. "Are you stupid? The priority is to catch Laura. Who told you to follow the rules?"
Yvonne was delighted, blocking them and asking eagerly, "But if we lose credits for not following the rules, can you compensate us?"
The staff was speechless. 'Is now the time to talk about that?
'That child has already run far away.'
Laura rushed towards the dormitory, only to see five or six adults running towards her from the other side of the fork in the road.
"Laura! Stop right there!
"If you don't want to get hit, you better stop right now," the staff shouted.
Laura's face turned pale, and she ran in the other direction.
The adults turned to chase after her, while another person approached the dormitory ready to take action.
But the door was kicked open by someone.
Caught off guard, the other person was hit on the nose, falling to the other side and crashing into a staff who was chasing after Laura.
The staff was caught completely off guard, and the two fell to the ground in a heap.
Everett stood at the doorway, looking bewildered. It was evident that he had kicked the door.
'What was going on?
'Did he crash into the door?' Everett wondered.
Everett looked up, coincidentally meeting Laura's gaze, and his eyes lit up. "You're here. Zayn and the others went to look for you. Didn't you notice?"
Laura shook her head.
But the staff was reminded. "Are there only two of you?"
Everett nodded. "Yeah."
The staff's eyes gleamed with excitement. 'Isn't that a good thing?'
One of them reached out to grab him. "What are we waiting for then? Let's catch these two kids first, and then go after the others."
Everett, with his messy hair, looked at the two adults coming towards him inexplicably.
As they raised their hands, he easily grabbed one of their wrists, swiftly delivered a spinning kick to the stomach, then flipped forward and landed two punches on the neck of another man.
"Do you think I'm weak? You're underestimating me." Everett said.
The staff were caught off guard and fell to the ground with a thud.
The others were stunned. 'This kid's agility was so incredible.'
Everett shook his head, tossing aside his messy hair, and gestured to Laura. "Come here."
Laura hesitated, glancing at the other three adults, then decisively ran towards him.
The three adults reached out to grab her. "Don't run!"
Everett charged at them like a wild boar. "Get lost!"
His movements were lightning-fast, targeting the vulnerable spots of his opponents. With his speed and agility, the three adults were no match for him. He quickly twisted one's wrist and kicked another away.
One of them lost his balance and pressed towards Laura.
Laura's pupils contracted as she couldn't dodge in time, but suddenly she was pulled into someone's embrace.
She looked up in panic, meeting Zayn's sharp eyes.
He looked worried. "Are you okay?"
Laura nodded energetically. "Couldn't be better!"
Zayn finally breathed a sigh of relief, vigilantly looking towards the other side of the corridor.
Those approaching were the bodyguards.
Zayn decisively crouched down. "Get on, we'll carry you and run, otherwise, you'll slow us down."
Laura didn't hesitate, smoothly jumping onto his back. But Everett directly lifted her up. "Let me do it."
He spiritedly swung her to his back. "I'm the strongest, let me handle this."
Zayn's expression turned cold, but it wasn't the time to argue. Jasper took the lead. "Hurry! They're coming!"
