When he was younger his parents reminded him to care for his future partner. They reminded him that there would be moments where they would fight and disagree on certain issues - but that was what would make the relationship fresh and exciting.
Xander vowed that no matter what the issue was between his partner and him, he would resolve it and try not to make such a huge deal out of it. Although the Xrionian women were honoured and deemed in high esteem, it did not mean that they didn't have their flaws.
Some went rogue and rebelled against their society; others joined the enemy and fought alongside the Griods. Most of the Xrionians couldn't understand why they would do such a thing, but most of the women or men that had joined the Griods had committed a crime; it was their way of standing up against the Xrionian government.
He sighed, quietly locking his locker door and grabbed his bag full of dirty laundry. Most of the soldiers had already left the commune, he had gone back to pick up his bag and return home. After his fight with Alexa, he decided that taking his anger out on the gym equipment would be best.
He wanted to speak to General Jenks about Dram's behaviour, but he had been in a meeting with him, trying to figure out why he had treated their "guests of honour" in such a rigorous way. Although he was a warrior, Xander wasn't one for violence - unless it was strictly needed.
Peaceful negotiations were favoured over wars, but after the incident that occurred with General Jenks' wife and a Griod, he had lost faith on the technique. He simply needed to figure out which negotiator would best be treated with peace; the Griods were definitely not one of them - and neither was a man who would try to hit a woman.
The anger he felt when Dram had Alexa's neck in his hands was similar to the one he felt when the Griod tried to attack Vrya; immense and almost incontrollable. Maybe it was because he had been taught the high morals of how to respect others from a very early age and the military upbringing might've influenced that as well, but Dram was an example of how that wasn't necessarily true.
Dram was the son of the General's step-sister. He had been adopted by her after his parents were slaughtered by the Griods and he looked up to Jenks. When he was a young teen, he practically worshipped Jenks – and then he met Corah, Jenks' daughter.
She was beautiful and the next in line for the crown; she was the perfect candidate in his eyes. But Xander came along and swept her off her feet. They instantly fell in love and in their people's eyes, they were the perfect couple. Dram lost his respect for Jenks when he approved Xander's and Corah's union and went away to finish his duty as a soldier.
Rumours were spread that when Xander began distancing himself from Corah, Dram had been there to keep Corah company, but he didn't pay much attention to them. He was far too busy trying to focus on his career rather than making sure that Dram stayed away from her.
According to the worker's gossip, Corah made sure that Dram knew she was engaged to Xander and he grew enraged; his hatred for Xander growing more every day. He had taken Jenks' attention and Corah's; his heart was drowning in green jealousy. The black veins in his centre were pumping jealousy throughout.
After Corah died, Xander felt angered that he hadn't given Corah the freedom to be with a man that cared for her like he once did. He had been selfish and naïve, but he learned from his mistakes.
If Alexa wanted to train with Dram, he wouldn't get in the way, but he sure as hell wasn't going to allow Dram to hurt her in any way.
"I would like a word with you, Dram," Xander spoke from the corner of the room, crossing his arms over his chest as he looked at the man up and down.
Dram rolled his eyes, stuffing his clothes in his bag and said, "I do not."
"I do not know what the General spoke to you about; I do not know if you are being punished and I could not care less, but I will tell you this. If Alexa comes home with abnormal bruises on her body from the hazardous training you may force her on, I will not hesitate to rip your limbs apart."
He shook his head, nonchalance ringing clear on his voice. "I thought you were a pacifist, Xander."
"I also protect my own," he clenched his jaw.
Dram stared at him with disgust. "Oh, so now the human is yours?"
"She is my partner," he responded with ease, not seeming bothered whatsoever.
"You surely forgot Corah easily; if something were to happen to the human, you would not be so affected by her," He shrugged, closing his locker and stared at him with challenging eyes.
Xander gritted his teeth, placing the bag by his feet and said, "I have not forgotten Corah, Dram, but it has been seven years. I think that I may start seeking companionship by now."
"Yeah, because the human women are the best companionship there is," he snorted.
"They are our best bet right now," he seethed, "no matter how much you dislike them; you cannot disrespect them or treat them any different than you would have treated a Xrionian."
He chuckled. "Actually, I can; they are not my people. I do not have to treat them like-"
Xander appeared before him, grabbing his collar tightly and menacingly whispered, "I do not care what you do, Dram, but as I have said previously; hurt Alexandra and I will not hold my anger back. You walk around with a hothead and do not think about the consequences. I am not sure how much longer the General will take your childish act, but if being a second-in-command is what you wanted; you surely will not get it now."
Dram pushed him away, shrugging his arms angrily and spat, "You took it from me; that was my position and you took it from me just like you took Corah."
"Corah was not a thing to fight over," Xander took a step back, knowing that if he stayed any closer to him, he'd regret it. "We gave her the choice to choose between us and she chose me; I did not oblige her. Nonetheless," he leaned down to grab his bag from the floor, "I have warned you. Alexa will be a part of your squadron, but you will treat her as if she were-"
"I get it," Dram snapped, glaring at him. "I already got this speech from General Jenks, of course he was less violent, but I got it. Can you leave now? I want to go home and take a shower."
He gritted his teeth, not liking that he interrupted him, but nodded his head once and returned home. After he took a shower and rid his body of any putrid odours, he drank some water and sat down on his bed to read another book on the history of humans.
He was currently on the era of Renaissance and he was surprised at how many innovative things they had done and what they had changed; not all humans were horrible. Of course, the power during that time [the Church] was obviously power-driven, but he was fascinated by some of the things they did.
Just as he neared the split of the church into different branches, his door slid open to reveal a heartbroken Alexa. Her eyes were red and puffy, her breaths were coming in short heart-wrenching sobs and she seemed to be on the verge of falling apart.
Xander sat up, frowning at her and said, "Alexa? What is the matter?"
She trembled, walking towards him and he quickly stood up, enveloping her in a warm hug. Her shoulders shook and the only sound that would leave her mouth were her heart wrenching sobs. Her face was sticky with tears and her nose was tinted red.
He pushed her hair behind her ears, trying to clear her face from it and ran his fingers through it in a soothing manner until her sobs turned to quiet whimpers. She closed her eyes, breathing in deeply as she tried to control her body and wrapped her arms around his waist tightly.
"You're okay," She whispered, over and over again until her brain seemed to register it as well.
Xander placed his chin on her head gently, relaxing his body against hers and waited until she was no longer whimpering. "What is wrong?"
"I'm sorry," she whispered, slowly pulling herself away from him.
"For?" He raised an eyebrow.
Alexa gulped, wiping the back of her hand against her runny nose and said, "The things I said earlier. I was acting like an idiot and there's no excuse, but I'm sorry."
"It is-"
"No," she shook her head and cleared her throat, "it's not okay. I just, I acted like a child and I'm sorry I slammed the door behind me. It just made me so mad that you said no to me. I mean, you always say yes, so when you were trying to put up a fight with me, it didn't...I guess you spoiled me and I thought it would always be like that. I'm not a brat, I just...it made me feel like you didn't think I was strong enough and it just brought memories of my dad and-" she sniffled, her eyes watering again, "I feel like I have to prove myself to you, like I have to show you that I'm not this weakling that will give up as soon as things get hard."
Xander smiled at her, wiping a tear that was running down her cheek and said, "Alexa, it is fine. I did not mean to spoil you; I just wanted you to have what you wanted so you would be content with me."
"I am," she mumbled, "but you can keep spoiling me with Pringles."
He chuckled, pulling her in for another hug and said, "I will."
She nodded, allowing the warmth that was spreading from him to take over her body and muttered, "I'm sorry."
"Stop apologising," he sighed, "now, why were you crying?"
Alexa blushed, stepping away from him and looked down at her hands. "Don't laugh at me," she mumbled.
"I will not," he replied, seriously.
"Okay," she sighed, sitting down on the corner of his bed, "after I slammed the door behind me, I took a shower and went to sleep. Um, then I had this dream. I can't really remember it, but something happened to you and it was my fault. You were bleeding, I," her eyes watered again, the horrific images of a bloodied Xander replaying in her mind, "there was so much blood," she whispered.
"I went to help you, but I couldn't," a sob broke through her chest and she squeezed her hands into a fist, "and you died. In my arms," She whimpered, looking down at her hands and brokenly whispered, "right here."
Xander reached out for her hand, snapping her out of the vivid nightmare that continued replaying in her mind. "Nothing happened to me, Alexa. I am okay."
She nodded, sniffling and wiped the back of her hand against her cheeks, "When I woke up I was alone and it was really dark. I just thought," she gulped, "I thought it hadn't been a nightmare and I had actually lost you." Her green eyes watered again, more tears spilling from them. "If you hadn't been here when I woke, I'm not sure what I would have done. I just," she gritted her teeth, wiping more tears away, "I was afraid. I am afraid."
"Of what?" He said softly, kneeling in front of her to look her in the eyes.
"That because I went to sleep fighting with you, something happened and I wasn't able to apologise." Her bottom lip trembled as she tried her best to stop crying, "I think that's one of my biggest fears; losing someone I care about and not being able to tell them how much they mean to me."
Xander sat down next to her and kissed her temple gently. She leaned her head against his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her waist. "My mother always told me to never go to bed angry; life does not have a warning telling you when it will end."
"I never want to go to sleep angry at you again," she whispered, "so if I'm ever a bitch to you again – because I know I will be – just smack me or something."
"I would never hurt you, Alexandra," he rolled his eyes.
"You know what I mean," she murmured, pulling her feet underneath her and jumped at the sound of thunder exploding outside.
Xander chuckled at the motion and stood up, "Would you like to go to bed and talk more about it?"
"I don't want to talk about it," she bit her bottom lip, idly playing with her fingers, "but we can go to bed."
He nodded and pulled the covers off the bed, folding them neatly near the foot of the divan. Alexa widened her eyes, realising that he meant for her to sleep in his bed, but she quickly wiped the surprise away and climbed on it.
After pulling the covers up to her chest, he climbed next to her and said, "I hope you do not mind; if you are uncomfortable, I can go sleep on the couch or something."
She shook her head, turning her body to face him and said, "Xander, this is your bed. I'm not going to make you sleep on the couch because I came here, besides it's fine; I trust you."
A sense of pride flickered across his eyes and he nodded, raising his hand to wipe the wetness that was lingered on her eyelashes from her tears. Alexa closed her eyes and relaxed against the comfortable mattress at the caress.
"I want you to know that you will never have to prove yourself to me," he spoke quietly, making his deep voice rumble through his chest.
"It's not you necessarily," she sighed, "it's just since I was a little girl, I always had to prove myself to my dad. I had an older brother named Brett. He was twenty when he joined the military; I was twelve. My dad was really proud of him, I mean, he was in the army as well, he wanted to keep the tradition going. I was never a daddy's girl, mainly because he didn't want to spend so much time with me. It was always Brett; "Brett this" "Brett that" it was stupid. One day I had to go to a soccer practise and my mom was busy working. My dad couldn't pick me up so he sent Brett to do it. Brett and I weren't really close because of the huge age difference, but when he needed to stand up for me, he would. Anyways," she took a deep breath, "after soccer practise, it started raining and a truck came and hit us. Brett died on the scene and I got this."
Alexa raised her shirt, pointing to a small scar on her hip. It was almost the size of her pinkie, definitely nothing compared to the humongous scars Xander had, but it had a story of its own.
Xander lowered his hand and gently traced the dent with his thumb. "What happened then?"
She shrugged, the sensation of his warm fingers rubbing against her hip made her feel dizzy. "My dad turned to alcohol and got kicked out of the army with dishonour. After that, he blamed me for Brett's death. That was his beloved golden boy and he thought it was my fault he died. At first I believed it too, I mean, it was my soccer practise; it was only logical that I would be to blame. But with time I learned that it wasn't my fault. I didn't slam the truck against Brett's side. I wasn't the one that was drunk and couldn't be behind the wheel. My dad just didn't want to blame anyone else but me. So in return, I tried to take Brett's place. I joined track, like Brett had in high school, and basically tried to fill in his shoes. In my eyes, I had to prove to my dad that I could be just as good. Eventually I got tired and so did my mom; they got divorced and I haven't heard of him ever since. He didn't even send us child support; he was pathetic and I don't ever want to feel like I have to prove myself again. It's like a mechanism that goes off in my brain. That's why I was so angry at you because I thought that I had to prove to you that I was strong. That those four miles I ran yesterday wouldn't kill me."
"Alexa," he sighed, kissing her forehead gently, "I do not think you are weak; now even more than before. Your father was an imbecile because you are strong in your own way. You should never feel like you have to prove yourself to anyone. As long as you know you are trying your hardest and you feel like you are good enough; that is what counts. My issue was not with you training or your strength; my issue was with Dram. I do not want him to hurt you because no matter how much this angers you; our bodies are different. I am genetically built to be stronger than you are; the training that you went through yesterday should have not been so strong."
"He was an idiot," she muttered, snuggling closer to him until their legs were brushing past each other, "I'm sorry for being an idiot earlier. I'm not going to say that I won't go to training because I want to do that. I want to learn how to defend myself and learn more about your people; just like you're learning about mine," she glanced at the book on his nightstand.
He grinned, the smile lighting his face up like the lightening across the dark sky and he said, "I will have no issue with you training. I am actually proud that you want to learn how to manoeuvre yourself in combat; I just do not want you to push yourself too hard. Remember you are human; you are more fragile than we are. I know your pride does not like acknowledging that, but it is the truth. I only want what is best for you. I do not think I could live with myself if something were to happen to you."
Her heart skipped a beat in her chest, making him frown down at the sudden change and she blushed, realising that his hearing would give her excitement away. Alexa smiled up at him and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you either."
Xander chuckled down at her as she snuggled against him and wrapped his arms around her waist. He was quiet for a bit, just relishing in their comfortable warmth until she let out a quiet yawn. "Go to sleep, love."
She didn't notice the endearment; her mind was too tired and his arms were too comfortable.
~*~
The next day when she woke up, was hell. It felt like someone was prickling her bones with thousands of needles and yanking her arms in every direction. It didn't help that she woke up tangled with the sheets - alone.
Xander was nowhere to be found and his side of the bed was cold, meaning that she had been alone for a long time. Nonetheless, she glanced at the clock and let out an even louder groan. It was almost nine; she was later than a crippled old lady without her cane.
She sighed, slowly pushing herself off the bed and squealed once Xander walked out of the bathroom with only a towel around his body. Her cheeks turned a dark shade of red as she found herself ogling every bit of him and she cleared her throat, forcing herself to look away.
"Good morning," he smiled, oblivious to the feelings he was making her experience.
"Morning," she mumbled, sitting on the side of the bed, "why didn't you wake me up? I'm so late to training."
"There was none," he rubbed some deodorant on and grabbed a shirt from his closet, "the General cancelled it. After the incident with Dram's squadron yesterday, he decided to give the women a day to rest and a day to teach the Lieutenants how to train the women."
Alexa raised an eyebrow, biting her lip as he bent down to grab a pair of dark jeans. His behind was sexily rounded and she was tempted to jump him. "Why aren't you at the meeting then?"
"Because I treated the women of my squadron pretty well," he chuckled, pulling a shirt over his head. It dishevelled his hair, making it stand on all directions and he ran his fingers through it, trying to tame it.
"Mm," she mumbled, stretching her arms over her head and let out a whimper, "where are you going?"
"We," he turned around to face her, "are going to a couples meeting. It is mandatory, so I suggest you start getting ready now."
"What is it for?" She stood up, glancing at him up and down.
Xander walked towards her, placing his hands on her shoulders gently and she winced in pain. He gave her a sexy smirk and said, "For that pain you are feeling."
Alexa narrowed her eyes. "Oh."
"Exactly," he chuckled. "And to get the couples to trust each other or something along those lines; so take a shower and get ready. We will be leaving soon."
She nodded and walked towards her room to get ready. After a quick shower, she decided to wear black shorts and a grey top. The weather felt spectacular and she wanted to make Xander look at her in a different...light.
Once they entered the building, she noticed the other couples that were standing around, talking amongst themselves animatedly. After she scoured the crowd for any signs of Kai or Kelly, she let out a disappointed sigh and turned to Xander, who had been watching her intently.
"What?" She blurted out.
He shrugged, a lopsided grin growing on his face and he said, "You are very pretty."
A blush grew on her cheeks and she laughed, tucking back her blonde bangs. "Thank you..."
Before he could say anything else, a tall burly man tapped the microphone gently to gain their attention and began speaking about the activities they would be conducting. "Good morning," A murmur of "good mornings" broke out and he continued speaking, "so after the many incidents that occurred yesterday, the General decided to give you lovely women the day off. In return, we decided to practise some trust exercises that we did back in our planet. It is nothing serious or straining; it will focus on trust and learning about more about your partner."
"Sounds easy," she muttered to Xander, who placed his hand on her lower back.
"You will be broken into groups of ten, meaning ten couples per group and your instructor will give you mats to lay on. Ladies," he pointed to a room on the far right, "in that room are the clothes you will be wearing for these exercises. You each have your lockers, so find the number your partner will give you and change out of your clothes and shoes. After you change, meet us out here."
He proceeded to give the same instructions to the men and Alexa turned to Xander. "What's my number?"
"Twenty."
"Okay, cool, so...do I just go?"
"After they break us into groups."'
She nodded and they patiently waited until they were told what groups they would be in. The locker room was a generic white room with grey lockers stacked in a row. She'd figure it would've been something more technologically advanced, but the hand scanners were enough.
After she grabbed the black bag with the clothes she was supposed to wear, she walked into a bathroom stall and began changing. She expected the clothing to be other shorts or a tank top - not a bathing suit.
The fabric of the clothes was different from bathing suits but the style was very similar. She had to snap the black sports bra on the back and make sure that none of her womanly parts were sticking out. Then she stepped into the black shorts and looked into the bag to make sure that she had everything.
Her hand wrapped around a smooth, silk object and she frowned as she pulled it out. It was a blindfold. What could she possibly need a blindfold for? She shook her head and neatly placed her shoes with her clothes.
Alexa chuckled as confused murmurs began to break out through the room, but no one said much of it. They walked back out after securing their clothing and timidly walked towards their partners.
Some must've seen their partners semi-clothed for the very first time because they widened their eyes in surprise and if their faces were emoticons, it would have been the heart-eyed face. She giggled at the image and tightened her fingers around the smooth black blindfold as she reached Xander.
He turned around to look at her and smiled, his eyes glancing up and down her body. She blushed, looking away and noticed that the men were all wearing shorts. Just. Shorts.
Alexa licked her lips, feeling the embarrassment crawling up her neck and she cleared her throat. "This is...weird."
Xander shrugged one arm and said, "Not for us; this is how we used to train with our women. It is very normal for us, you could say."
"It's weird," she deadpanned, watching as a remaining few girls walked out of the locker room covering their breasts as much as they could.
The bras weren't as revealing as – they were revealing. But none of the men were looking at the other women; they were watching their respective partners and it was strange to her. She looked around and noticed that every other woman was doing the same.
They were mostly embarrassed or confused. Others seemed confident with their bodies and poised themselves with self-assurance; Alexa just stood next to Xander and ogled him.
Maybe it was just her, but every day he seemed to get hotter than the last - and there was just so much hotness she could take.
After all the partners were reunited, walls began to separate the rooms, leaving only ten couples per group. Alexa turned to Xander and whispered, "Why do we have blindfolds?"
He motioned with his head to look in front of them.
A hologram of a beautiful woman flickered to life and she grinned at them. "Welcome," her voice was smooth, almost dripping with honey and Alexa's legs buckled at the strange sensation that ran through her.
Xander frowned down at her but wrapped his arm around her waist to keep her upright.
"My name is Reyna and I will be your instructor today. My gender has been morphed into a female so that you ladies will be more comfortable with the exercises we will perform. Although I have no beating heart, I am technologically alive. I can sense your every movement and your emotions. So please," she cracked a grin, "do not engage in sexual intercourse during these exercises."
Alexa widened her eyes, looking up at Xander with a horrified look on her face and he chuckled down at her.
"Very well, we will begin," Reyna began walking by the couples, "there are ten mats in the room; your partner has already set them beside you. Ladies, please put your blindfolds on, your partner may assist you."
She gulped, squeezing the soft material in her hands and faced away from Xander to let him tie it on her. After he was done, she grimaced, not liking one of her senses stripped from her.
"Now," Reyna continued, "I would like you men to help them down on these mats, facing upward."
Xander took Alexa's shaking hand and chuckled at how tightly she held unto him. He helped her down on the mat and stood above her, looking up at the hologram for further instructions.
"You may now put your blindfolds on." They did and Alexa frowned, but tried to stay as still as she could on the cool mat. "The purpose of this exercise is to learn about your partner. You have been here for three months - almost four and although some of you have already engaged in sexual activity, others have not even shared a kiss. Trust is not just sharing your secrets, but also feeling comfortable with your partner - physically and emotionally."
"In this first exercise, the male partner will explore his partner's body with only his mouth."
Um.
What?
How did she expect us not to engage in sexual activity if they're going to freaking touch our bodies with their mouths?!
"We rely too much on our hands; during this exercise you will only use them to support your weight over your partner. Lip kissing is permitted, but any of the areas that are covered on your partner's body must stay covered. I will be making sure that nothing sexual begins; if the pressure is too much, you may leave to your home and...depressurise yourselves."
Alexa let out a nervous chuckle and gulped as she felt Xander kneeling near her legs.
"You will perform this exploration for exactly fifteen minutes. Ladies, your hands must stay beside you at all times; you may not grab unto your partner even if you believe you might pass out from the sensations. Do any of you have any questions?" She was quiet for a bit, waiting for questions but no one spoke. "If you do not feel comfortable with this exercise, say so now, we do not want to force anyone into this."
Even though she was nervous as all hell, the excitement she felt overrode any of her other emotions. She wanted to feel Xander touching her in any way he could think of - and if the exercise would be her excuse, then so be it.
"Very well," Reyna said softly, her voice sounding melodious and smooth, "you may begin; I will stop you when the fifteen minutes are over."
As Xander slowly moved over her, Alexa gulped and clenched her fists at her sides. The anticipation building inside her stomach was going to make her go mad with desire and as she slowly felt his body warmth nearing her, she breathed out quietly.
Xander bowed his head, hoping that the first place his lips would make contact with, wouldn't make Alexa uncomfortable. Ironically, his lips met the valley of her breasts first and she let out a soft giggle. He smiled against her skin, pressing a soft kiss against it and she bit her bottom lip hard enough to draw blood.
Her heart thudded the hardest it ever had inside her chest, making adrenaline pump quickly through her veins. The silence of the room enhanced every movement of Xander's plump lips. She could feel his warmth steady breath brushing over her skin, raising goose bumps along the way.
The smoothness of his lips was unbelievable. It made her shudder and quiet moans erupted in the back of her throat as he began moving his mouth up the slope of her neck. Alexa gasped as he darted his tongue out quickly, licking the hollow spot of her neck and she murmured an incomprehensible sentence.
"Sweet...baby...Jesus..."
Xander smirked, kissing her with more intensity but tried to memorise every arch, line, mole and bump on her skin.
Weak whimpers began to erupt through the room and Reyna rolled her eyes at how sensitive they all were. Then again, she was a hologram; she couldn't feel the exhilarating touch of a hot, stone-carved man.
Alexa gasped as Xander's hair tickled her jaw when he lowered his mouth down to the top of her breasts. She curled her toes, arching her back of the mat and wished with all her might that Xander would either teleport them to their house so he could finish what he was doing or the fifteen minutes would be up.
The more he kissed around her body, the more that the desire in her stomach would grow. She was willing to get on her knees and beg him to take her out of her misery. She wanted his lips on her, to ravish her like it would be the last time they'd see each other.
Just when she thought she'd cry out like a woman beside them had done, Xander bit her bottom lip into his mouth. She groaned, digging her nails into her palms and trembled underneath him. Pure passionate, hot-scorching lava was drowning her veins.
She couldn't breathe or think; it was as if her brain had shut down and turned into delirious mush.
His warm lips pressed against hers and her moan vibrated against his lips. Xander smirked against her mouth, running his tongue over her bottom lip and she kissed him with an intensity that surprised him.
It was desperation and hunger at its finest; he liked that side of her.
After kissing her until she could no longer breath, Xander pulled away from her lips and trailed his mouth down her jawline. Alexa breathily moaned, tilting her neck away from him to allow him more access to her sensitive skin and wished with all her might that her clothes would disintegrate in that very second.
"Seven hundred, seven hundred and two, I mean seven hundred and one, seven hundred and three," A girl on the other side of Alexa mumbled, sounding more flustered than ever, "...oh god!"
Xander chuckled as he began to slowly trace his lips against the outer side of her stomach until he reached the scar she showed him the night before. Alexa curled her toes, lifting her head from the mat and groaned out a curse as he paid extra attention to the small scar.
If she could melt into a puddle that very second, she would have and then evaporated.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh," she whispered, "ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh."
He smirked, liking the obvious effect he left on her and continued kissing down her body, passing her thighs and reaching the upper side of her feet. She let out a breathless giggle and pulled her foot away from him, making him crawl back up her body.
Alexa dug her nails deep into the blue mat, arching her back away from it and dug her heels into it as well. Xander trailed his lips again up her body and gently kissed her jaw, pressing soft sensual mouth-caresses to it.
Just as he was about to kiss her lips, Reyna rang the bell; a wave of relieved female sighs echoed throughout the room.
"Fück," Alexa groaned - she was the only one that didn't breathe out in relief.

Xander vowed that no matter what the issue was between his partner and him, he would resolve it and try not to make such a huge deal out of it. Although the Xrionian women were honoured and deemed in high esteem, it did not mean that they didn't have their flaws.
