Hearing what Ella Smith had said, both Lisa Brown and Jackson Bell were happy. They thought Ella was finally under their control again. Jackson even became more arrogant, looking at Ella with a sneer in his heart. She’s just pretending, he thought. She’s still obsessed with me. Didn’t she just agree to stay with me?
But then Ella continued, "But before that, you have to return all the money you took from me, and you have to return it today. Then I’ll leave my family and come to stay with you. Alex tried to suppress a smile, seeing his girl’s naughty behavior.

She didn’t believe that after hearing all this, Alex would still stay with Ella, who had supposedly already had a boyfriend.

Watching their backs as they ran, Ella laughed heartily.

"Brother Alex, you heard it too, right? I don’t love that man at all. Everything I said earlier was just acting. So please don’t be angry with me, Brother Alex."
As she said that, she pouted her lips cutely.
While the two of them were bickering, Nina came into the ward carrying food. Seeing them bickering like that, she felt happy inside. Miss Ella had become much more lively these days. In the past, she was always hurting herself and her family. Finally, she seemed to be on the right path.
"Miss, Young Master—it’s time for breakfast," Nina said as she started setting up the meal. Alex helped Ella freshen up.
While they were eating, Alex’s secretary, Ethan, arrived with some files in his hands.
"Master, these are the files you asked for."
Alex glanced at the documents. "Good. Put them on the table. And transfer all of today’s meetings to tomorrow."
Ethan hesitated today, there was a meeting with an American-based company that had flown in just for an important project.
"But Young Master, today’s—" Before he could finish, he stopped himself when he saw Alex’s deadly glare.
"Brother Alex, you don’t have to stay here with me. I’m fine now. Nina is here too. You should go to the company and earn money for me," Ella teased.
Alex had already seen through her smart move. "Little one, you don’t have to worry about my pocket. I have enough money—you can spend it on your whole life. Don’t worry about my work, I can manage it all."
He couldn’t leave Ella alone now. Aunt Clara and Henry were about to fight an important battle today, and he had to stay with Ella to make sure no one could harm her from behind.
