The reason why there was no room vacant for her was that Mia While needed one room for her study, the second room for her piano, the third room for her walk-in wardrobe, the other three rooms for her brother who is abroad now and not coming anytime soon, and the remaining two rooms for guests.
She is not a guest, so she can't stay in the guest room. Renovation was supposed to start approximately two months later, so in the meantime, she had to stay in the maid's quarters. She ended up staying in that quarter for more than a year—there was never any renovation, and there was never a room for her in the villa with that family of four.
She only ever went to the villa when that family came to discuss the engagement, business proposals, or when there was a family gathering.
She endured it all because of her mom. She didn't want her mom to be in any kind of trouble. But now that the problem is solved, there's no way she's going to be a puppet in the While family's hands anymore.
"Aria, I don't think those people will let you go easily, so I have two shadow bodyguards. I'll arrange one for you. He’ll protect you in the shadows and won’t disturb your daily life," Olivia said while thinking about something.
"Mom, the bodyguards you're talking about are for your safety. You're the country's top architect—even royal families from other countries are waiting for your work. So how can you go without bodyguards? Mom, you have to keep those shadow guards for yourself," Aria While insisted. Her mother is now the country’s top architect, so how could she go without protection?
"Aria, I never discussed this matter with you. I'm telling you my decision. Do you think your mother can’t hire more bodyguards for herself?" Olivia said in a serious tone. She knew her daughter was worried about her, but as a mother, nothing was more important than Aria.
"Okay," Aria replied in a soft voice. Her mom never spoke to her so seriously, and if she did, that meant no one could argue back.
"The good thing is, they never bothered to change your household registration. So your registration is still under our family. That means your legal guardian is still me, and they can’t touch you. If they try anything, it’s illegal, and I can sue them—even if they are your biological parents," Olivia said firmly. She had planned everything carefully. She didn’t want to give the other side the upper hand in any situation.
"Mom, if I don’t allow it, they can't use me anymore. They never made my identity public and never held a recognition banquet. I was only allowed to attend small-scale family gatherings. So, not many people in the While family even know me," Aria said in a calm tone, as if none of it really mattered to her anymore.
"Don’t think about all that, Aria. Your mom will handle it all. You go to the second room on the first floor—that’s your room. Go and see if you like it. Mom also prepared a walk-in closet for you next to your room. Everything is already there. Go and check if all the things are according to your taste," Olivia said with heartache in her eyes. Her daughter had suffered so much since she was a child. When the While family came to acknowledge Aria, she thought her daughter would finally have a good life, a complete family. That’s why she let them take Aria. If she had known her daughter would go there only to suffer, she would’ve never allowed it.
When Aria heard that her mom had prepared a room and a walk-in wardrobe for her, she forgot everything and ran to the first floor. Like all girls, she had dreamed of having her own space with a beautiful wardrobe.
On the other side, after sending Aria to her room, Olivia took out her phone and called her guards and a security agency. After giving instructions to the bodyguard, she called a detective agency. She needed to find all the illegal things the While family had done. They had targeted her daughter for their benefit—how could she just let them go?
On the other side, when Alex Walker sent Ella Smith home, it was already very late. But Henry Smith still hadn’t come back. Ella was very afraid her brother had already gone to City A and that the past would repeat itself.
She tried calling her brother, but his phone was out of service. Then she tried her mother, but Clara Jones wasn’t picking up either.
She grabbed the car keys and headed to the garage, intending to drive out and find them. But before she could drive the car out, a familiar car entered the garage—it was her mom, Clara Jones’ car.
She got out of her car and rushed toward her mother’s. When Clara saw Ella’s pale face, she immediately got out.
"Ella, what happened? Why do you look so pale?"
"Mom!" Ella hugged Clara tightly. "Why weren’t you picking up my calls? I called you so many times, and you didn’t answer even once. And what about brother? Where is he? Why are you both so late? It’s already half past eleven!"
"Relax, Ella. I left my phone in the office. Your brother’s phone is under monitoring—he found out this morning, so he’s not using it for now," Clara calmly explained, feeling heartache at her daughter’s anxious expression.
"Okay, Mom… but where is brother now?" Ella asked urgently. She needed to stop her brother from going to City A on his own.
