As Ella was trying to arrange herself, she lost her balance and fell. She closed her eyes, but the pain she was expecting didn’t come. She had fallen into warm arms. Alex Walker looked at her helplessly, took her to the sink, and helped her sit there. After that, he helped her with her trousers.
And in bridal style, he again carried her to bed.
Both of their hearts were beating wildly, but no one said anything for a long time. One person was looking at the other, and the other was looking down. But this awkward situation was also very peaceful because they had come a step closer to each other's hearts.
But this awkwardly peaceful moment was broken by someone’s stomach noise—someone who only had half a bowl of chicken porridge.
Hearing that sound, Alex Walker broke into laughter, but someone else turned with a dazed expression.
Ella looked at Alex Walker’s face without blinking.
She knew Alex Walker was very handsome, but she never knew that his smile could make one’s heartbeat stop. This man belongs to her.
She would never let anyone covet him. He is my man.
Looking at her cute panda eyes, Alex rubbed her head lightly.
“Wait, I’ll pour millet porridge for you.”
Hearing about millet porridge, Ella’s eyes lit up with a new glow—like stars.
“How do you know I like millet porridge?” As she was saying this, Alex Walker shook his head and brought a spoon near her mouth. Ella opened her mouth to eat porridge and enjoy the service provided by her man.
After feeding her porridge, he carefully tucked her in a blanket.
“I will sleep on the sofa. If you need anything, just call me. Don’t try to do anything by yourself.”
“Brother, you sleep in the adjoining bedroom na? It’ll be very uncomfortable for you to sleep on the sofa,” Ella hurriedly said as she saw him walking toward the sofa.
“No, I’m okay. Now sleep, you need rest to recover fast,” Alex Walker directly denied her idea. He was afraid that if she needed anything during the night and tried to do it herself, she would get hurt.
Ella knew about his worry, and her eyes turned red. She was always running away from this man because she felt her freedom was snatched. She couldn’t choose the person she loved—because of this man.
She stared at the man who was sleeping on the sofa in an uncomfortable position. Two small tears dropped from her eyes. After an unknown amount of time, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
The person on the sofa, who looked like he was sleeping some time ago, opened his eyes. He knew Ella was looking at him, and he didn’t want to destroy that moment. He walked toward the girl sleeping on the bed.
“I don’t know why you’ve changed, but now you can’t return to your past self,” he said quietly.
“Because now, I won’t be able to let you go. Even if I have to lock you up to keep you by my side.
You are not only my love… but also my salvation.”
He gently wiped the tear dropped from her eye, and after an unknown period, he slept by her side.
Early in the morning, he woke up before Ella. Looking at her adorable face, he secretly kissed her forehead, then went back to the sofa to deal with some urgent office work.
At seven, when Ella opened her eyes, she found him busy with his laptop. She didn’t want to disturb this beautiful scene, but she needed to freshen up, so she had to call out.
“Brother, can you call the nurse? I need to get freshened up,” she said in a low voice with shyness on her face.
Hearing her call, Alex Walker stood up from his seat and directly carried her in a bridal style.
“Brother, you don’t need to get stressed. You can just call the nurse,” Ella tried to stop him, but she was stopped by Alex.
“Let me help you. I’m better than that nurse, and this is not the first time anyway.”
With that, he carried her to the bathroom and helped her with her trousers. After making her sit on the toilet seat, he walked out of the bathroom. Ella knew now she couldn’t run away from this, so she silently submitted to her fate.
After some time, she silently waited for Alex to come and help her with her pants and other things.
After a minute, Alex Walker entered the bathroom and found her waiting for him to help her.
He first helped her with her pants. After that, he brushed her teeth and washed her face.
Then, he again carried her onto the bed and helped her sit.
