Jackson Bell was stunned when he heard the principal’s words. How could the principal know about all this? He had always been very careful when doing those things. And the matter of taking drugs—how could the principal know about that?
“All of my future… it’s over,” he thought, turning to look at Ella Smith, who was standing quietly beside him.
"Teacher, I know what I did was wrong, but I’m not the only one involved in this. Ella is completely involved too. She also went to the bar with me and took drugs with me!
Principal, you can’t just protect Ella because she comes from a wealthy family. The photos on the school forum are proof that she was involved with me!" Jackson said hurriedly.
If he was going to hell, he’d drag Ella with him. Why should she get to have a bright future while all he saw was darkness ahead?
The moment Jackson mentioned Ella’s name and tried to link her with him, the temperature in the room dropped again.
Seeing the tension, the principal quickly spoke,
"You don’t have to drag student Ella Smith into this. We already have clear evidence regarding the photos posted on the school forum.
The building across from our school has CCTV cameras that cover part of our school grounds, including the spot where you and Ella were standing.
The footage clearly shows that everything was staged by you, student Jackson Bell.
And the man behind you admitted it was you who paid him to take and post those photos from a misleading angle."
The principal threw the printed photos and other evidence onto the table and pointed to the man standing silently nearby.
Jackson turned to look at the man he had ignored when he first walked in. Then he turned back to the principal and shouted,
"Principal, I don’t know this person! I have no idea who he is or why he’s lying like this. Believe me, I’ve never met him in my life!"
Jackson was telling the truth—at least partly—because he really had never met the man. He knew Lisa Brown had arranged for someone to take the photos, but he had never directly dealt with that person.
"Student Jackson Bell, you don’t need to say anything more. The money you transferred to this man is enough to prove that you hired him to take the photos.
And yesterday, he entered the school using your name, claiming to be your uncle. You even confirmed this when your teacher asked you, saying he was your relative."
Jackson was completely blank now. Lisa had told him that the photographer would come to the school claiming to be his uncle, and he had agreed to the plan because Lisa had paid him a large amount of money.
Back then, it hadn’t seemed like a big deal. According to Lisa’s plan, there was no risk. The man was supposed to leave town right after finishing his job—
So why was he still here?
"No, it has nothing to do with me! It was Lisa! She’s the one who arranged for this person to take the photos! I had nothing to do with it!
I’m not even interested in Ella—it was Lisa who paid me to pretend to be Ella’s boyfriend so that Ella’s fiancé would break off the engagement, and Lisa could get close to him.
I’m telling the truth—it’s not me!"
This time, he forgot that he was just as responsible as Lisa. Both had used Ella for their own gain.
But now, with his entire future collapsing in front of him, he didn’t want to go down alone.
"But this person only mentioned your name," the principal replied calmly. He had already investigated the man thoroughly before bringing Jackson and Ella into the office.
"No! He’s lying! You should call Lisa Brown—she’s the one who arranged everything! She told me to agree when this man claimed to be my uncle. I didn’t know anything about him! It was all Lisa’s plan!" Jackson shouted, desperately trying to expose her.
"Okay. Teacher Zhang, please call Lisa Brown as well," the principal instructed Ella’s homeroom teacher, who had brought her earlier.
Ella stood to the side, watching the drama unfold with interest. She had originally planned to investigate this mess after school, but it looked like the school was already one step ahead.
When Teacher Zhang called Lisa Brown to the principal’s office, she was a little surprised to be involved in the situation.
But then she assumed it must be because Ella was still denying her relationship with Jackson, and the principal probably wanted her as a witness.
Thinking this, she walked confidently into the office with Teacher Zhang.
But the moment she entered and saw the man standing beside Ella and Jackson, her expression froze.
It was the same person her mother had hired to take the pictures of Ella.
But she quickly controlled her emotions. Her mother had paid the man a large sum of money to keep quiet.
She had also told him never to mention Lisa’s name and to put all the blame on Jackson if anyone questioned him.
"Student Lisa Brown, do you know this man?" the principal asked without wasting time.
"No, Principal. I don’t know him. This is the first time I’m seeing him," Lisa replied calmly after checking that everything still seemed under control.
"Student Lisa Brown, according to Jackson Bell, you’re the one who arranged for this man to take the photos. But now you're saying you don’t even know him?" the principal asked again, having already noticed her brief reaction when she first saw the man.
"No, Principal sir. I’ve never seen him before. I don’t know why Jackson is saying that," she said, keeping her voice steady.
There was no way she would admit anything and put herself in danger.
