The Principal had a troubled look on his face, but he nodded hurriedly. In this situation, he couldn’t say anything more. Before calling Ella Smith and Jackson Bell, the Principal had tried to convince Alex Walker to settle this matter privately. But the moment Jackson attacked, he knew everything was out of control.
Lisa Brown was also stunned—she hadn’t noticed that Alex was already in the Principal’s office. Seeing Ella in Alex Walker’s arms, jealousy burned in her heart.
She quickly stood up and walked over to Ella and Alex.
“Brother Alex, it’s good that you’re here. I was really scared,” she said, trying to hold Alex’s hand.
But Alex dodged Lisa’s hand and stepped back with Ella still in his arms.
“Miss Brown, please respect yourself and don’t cling to someone else’s fiancé.”
Alex didn’t forget to mention that he was Ella’s fiancé, confirming what Jackson had revealed—that Lisa had purposely used Jackson to break up his and Ella’s relationship.
Alex’s words were like a slap to Lisa’s face. What? Did he think she was some shameless mistress? That thought made Lisa’s eyes turn red with anger. She looked at Alex with teary, burning eyes.
“Brother, why are you saying such hurtful things? I didn’t come here for Ella’s fiancé. We’ve known each other for so many years—we have a friendship!” Lisa said, trying to sound pitiful.
“Miss Brown, don’t say misleading things. I don’t have any sort of friendship with you,” Alex replied coldly. He was stunned by Lisa’s shamelessness. She was saying things that could easily mislead his Ya Ya, and he wasn’t going to tolerate that—no matter what.
“Right, I don’t remember Brother Alex having any kind of friendship with you either. Lisa, are you trying to spread rumors again?” Ella stepped out from Alex’s embrace to confront Lisa. Seeing Lisa trying to act close to Alex like some shameless woman disgusted her.
“Ella, how can you say that? When we were little and Brother Alex used to come to the Smith house to meet Brother Charles, we played with Brother Alex many times. We’ve known each other since childhood—we can be considered friends,” Lisa said confidently, clearly trying to imply she had a special bond with Alex.
“Lisa, I think you’re living in your own fantasy world. Brother Alex came to my house to play with me. You just tagged along. If you’re feeling some kind of déjà vu, it’s all in your head. You were never close to Brother Alex in any way.”
Ella harshly roasted Lisa, her face stern and unforgiving.
Lisa turned red from Ella’s words. She knew Alex wasn’t connected to her, but she never imagined Ella would expose her like this in front of everyone. With a pitiful look, she turned to Alex, hoping he’d speak up for her and say something to Ella, who had just behaved so “rudely.” But to her disappointment, the Alex she was hoping for was now looking at Ella with soft, loving eyes.
“Ella’s right. I never had any kind of friendship with you. In the past, I only went to the Smith house to play with Ella. I don’t even remember you, so please don’t claim anything,” Alex said, his voice sharp. Then his expression turned serious. “And I think you should focus on what you’re going to tell the police when they take you to the station.”
As expected, when Lisa heard the word police, her face turned pale.
“But Jackson was the one who committed the crime! The police should arrest him, not me!” she stammered, trembling. She had been careful from the very beginning, never leaving any evidence behind. How could they arrest her without proof?
“Because Jackson said you were the one who asked him to trap me in a relationship. And we’ve got a full recording of what happened here,” Ella said coldly, pointing up at the CCTV camera.
“No, no... they can’t arrest me just because Jackson said so! There’s no proof that what he said is true...” Lisa muttered to herself, her voice low, trying to stay calm.
Seeing Lisa getting so restless, Ella glanced at Alex with a mischievous look. With a shared understanding, Alex smiled back. They both knew Jackson’s words alone weren’t enough to prove Lisa’s crime, but it was more than enough to make her break down mentally.
After five minutes, the police arrived. Seeing them, Lisa panicked and blurted out, “No! I didn’t do anything wrong! It was all Jackson—he’s the one who did it!”
Because of Lisa’s strange behavior, the officers looked at her like she was unhinged. Ignoring her, the Principal walked over and handed all the evidence they had collected to the police.
After receiving the documents, the police arrested Jackson Bell and the photographer and took them away.
