After sending Jackson Bell with the police, the principal looked at Ella Smith and Alex Walker and said, "I will clear all these matters tomorrow at the morning assembly. Student Ella Smith, you can go back to your class now.
And student Lisa Brown, your credits will be deducted, and you will transfer to Class C from Class A for spreading rumors and misleading students about Ella and Jackson Bell's relationship." In a stern voice, the principal spoke to Lisa Brown.
After the police took Jackson Bell away, Lisa also calmed down and slowly realized that it was all a prank Ella and Alex had played on her. She looked at Ella with hateful eyes and stormed out of the principal's office, clearly angry.
"Ella, go to your class. I’ll come to pick you up after school. You should go and study hard," Alex said while sending Ella out of the principal’s office, where Aria While was already waiting for her.
"Ella, are you alright? I was so scared when the police came, but thank God you're fine," Aria hugged Ella the moment she came out. But when she hugged her, a pair of cold eyes looked at her in displeasure.
"I'm perfectly fine. The school gathered all the evidence of Jackson Bell's crimes, and the police came to take him. Forget about him—I want you to meet someone. This is my fiancé, Brother Alex Walker," Ella introduced Alex to Aria.
When Ella said "Alex Walker," only then did Aria notice someone else was present. The moment she saw him, her eyes widened in shock.
"He—he's the famous youngest business tycoon Alex Walker, the heir of the Walker Empire! I’m seeing him alive in front of me!" Aria blurted out without thinking.
"Ahh! Why are you pinching me, Ella?"
"What do you mean by 'alive'?" Ella asked in a slightly angry tone.
"No, I mean I’ve only ever seen him in interviews or magazines—never in person like now!" Aria hurriedly explained.
"Hi, Miss Aria. Nice to meet you. I’m Alex Walker, Ella’s fiancé," Alex introduced himself while pulling Ella by her hand, as if to show that she belonged to him.
"Hi, Mr. Walker! I’m Aria While, Ella’s best friend," Aria quickly replied with a smile. She could clearly sense Alex’s possessiveness over Ella.
"Ella, it’s getting late. Let’s go to class—it'll start in five minutes," Aria said while dragging Ella along. They had already missed one class, so it was better to be on time for the next one.
"Go. Studying is important," Alex said, letting Aria take Ella away. He knew his Ya Ya was doing her best to study hard, and he didn’t want to delay her.
After sending Ella to class, Alex returned to the principal’s office.
"The promised chemistry lab will be completed by the end of this month."
With that, Alex left the school and went to his company, where someone was already waiting for him with puffed-up cheeks.
When the principal saw that Alex had finally left, he sat down on his chair tiredly. Young Master Walker had come to his office around two hours earlier with various proofs against Jackson Bell and a deal.
The deal was that the young master would fund an advanced chemistry lab—which the school needed badly but couldn’t afford due to budget issues.
And the matter regarding Jackson Bell… At first, Young Master Alex wanted to handle it legally, but the principal had convinced him not to call the police to the school. In exchange, Alex would clear Ella Smith’s name personally in front of the whole school and promised to take special care of her.
He had manipulated Young Master Walker using Ella’s name, saying it wouldn’t look good for the school if the police came while Ella was studying there. With those words, Alex had agreed not to involve the police directly.
But who would’ve thought all his efforts would go in vain because of Jackson Bell’s stupidity?
If Jackson hadn’t attacked Ella, he could have escaped jail and only gotten expelled. But the moment he attacked Ella, the principal knew everything was over.
What he didn’t know was—even if Jackson hadn’t gone to jail, Alex Walker would’ve dealt with him privately. Alex only wanted to go the legal route to improve his image in Ella’s eyes.
There was a small fear in his heart that Ella might still have some feelings for Jackson. He wanted to use this matter to test if Jackson still had a place in her heart—and the result didn’t disappoint him.
When Alex reached his company, someone was sitting there with a puffed face. That person was none other than James, who had arrived at Alex’s office more than an hour ago, leaving all his work—only to find the person he came for was gone, solving his fiancée’s problems.
"Oh, you’re here. Show me the drugs you brought," Alex ignored his tantrum and got straight to the point.
"You—ugh! I’ve been waiting here for over an hour and all you care about is drugs? Here, these are the ones I brought. This one can cause a fever for four days straight, this one for a week, and this one for a whole month. These two are harmless, but the one with the month-long effect is bad for the body," James said angrily while explaining the drugs.
"Okay, this one with the four-day effect is good," Alex said while pushing the other two away.
"But who are these for?" James asked, clearly more interested in the gossip than anything else.
"For myself," Alex replied calmly while taking the drug.
"What?! Hey, why did you take that medicine? Are you out of your mind?!" James jumped in shock. He had thought Alex was asking for someone else—but who would have guessed he was asking for himself?
