She had treated Alex Walker very badly in the past, but he never got angry with her. Even then, he always thought of her. Every moment of her life, he was there, quietly supporting her. Ella Smith couldn’t imagine how deep Brother Alex's love was for her.
She took a deep breath to calm herself down and walked into the bathroom, which was connected through the closet. The bathroom was incredibly spacious and elegant—almost double the size of the one she had at the Smith Villa. She absolutely loved this bathroom, especially the large bathtub that sat in front of a floor-to-ceiling window. From there, she could see a beautiful garden view through the glass wall.
Ella wanted to soak in the bathtub, but remembering how she once spent more than an hour in it, she decided to take a quick shower instead. She needed to check on Brother Alex afterward.
After her shower, she changed into her nightwear but realized that the bra she had on was a bit tight and uncomfortable. She made a mental note to go home tomorrow to bring a pair of underwear to leave here for future emergencies—just like this one.
When she walked into Alex Walker’s room, she saw that he had also changed into his nightwear. What she didn’t know was that Alex had taken a cold shower after she went to her room.
“Brother Alex, are you feeling better now?” Ella asked, gently placing her hand on his forehead.
“You still have a fever... Brother Alex, besides the fever, are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere? Headache or anything?” Ella asked, her voice full of concern.
“Ya Ya, you don’t have to worry so much. I’m not feeling a headache or anything else—it’s just the fever,” Alex said in a low voice on purpose, hoping Ella would notice he wasn’t alright.
As Alex expected, Ella responded right away, “You say you're fine, but your voice is so low. Brother Alex, if you're not feeling well, you can tell me. I’ll help—I can give you a head massage.”
“No, Ya Ya, I’m fine. But tell me—do you like your room? If there’s anything you don’t like, just tell me. I’ll replace it immediately,” Alex said, trying to change the topic.
“No, Brother Alex! I love the room and all the arrangements. It’s like a dream room for any girl. Please, you don’t need to change anything,” Ella said quickly, afraid he might actually change it.
“Ha ha,” Alex laughed heartily at her reaction. He was truly glad that Ella loved the room—he had personally designed it for her.
“Okay, okay. We won’t change anything. You don’t have to be so anxious. That’s your room—no one can make any changes there without your permission,” Alex said, rubbing her head.
Ella lowered her head in embarrassment. How could she act so childish in front of Brother Alex? What would he think of her now?
“But Brother Alex, I need to go back home tomorrow for a bit,” Ella said, switching the topic.
“Why? You don’t like living here?” Alex asked quickly.
“No, Brother Alex! It’s not like that,” Ella interrupted immediately, worried he’d misunderstand. “It’s just... I need to bring some stuff from home.”
“Then why don’t we go shopping instead, Ella?” Alex suggested. He didn’t want his Ya Ya away from him—not even for a few hours.
“No, Brother Alex, you're sick right now. You need to rest properly. You're not allowed to go anywhere,” Ella said in a strict tone.
“Ya Ya, it’s James. He said I should take short strolls outside for light exercise, so I won’t feel too stiff. You can ask him,” Alex tried to convince Ella, using James’s name as backup.
Meanwhile, somewhere else...
“Did she go?” James asked the nurse in a low voice.
“No, Dr. James. She’s been waiting for you in your cabin for the last hour,” the nurse replied sweetly.
“What the hell does she want? I can’t even go back to my own cabin,” James said, clearly frustrated. Then an idea struck him. He looked at the nurse with soft, gentle eyes.
“Pretty nurse, can you do something for me?” James asked in a honeyed voice.
Under James's clear seduction, the nurse nodded without even thinking.
“Okay, listen. Go to my cabin and bring my phone and wallet—secretly. Make sure Nancy doesn’t notice you while you do it. Got it?” James said in that same sweet voice.
“Sure,” the nurse nodded, but stood still—clearly not in a rush to actually do the task.
James looked at her in disbelief.
“Go.”
“Hello?” James called her twice before the nurse finally snapped out of it.
“Oh right! I’ll go get your wallet and phone now, Dr. James,” she said sweetly and headed off to the cabin.

At the cabin door, as it opened, Nancy stood up, excitement flashing in her eyes. But as soon as she saw it was just a nurse walking in—and not James—all the excitement vanished from her face.
“What are you doing here? Where is Brother James?” Nancy asked in a displeased voice.
“Dr. James is attending to a patient and asked me to bring some files,” the nurse replied calmly. But inside, she was cursing Nancy. The nurse was also young and had a crush on James, like many others in the hospital. But Miss Nancy would show up every four or five days just for Dr. James, and none of the nurses—including this one—liked her.
Still, they couldn’t do anything about it... because Dr. James clearly knew her.
