Alex Walker came down in a hurry when he heard the blasting sound and was stunned at the scene in front of him — the whole kitchen was burnt, and smoke was coming out. Right in front of the kitchen door, a figure covered in flour was standing.
Looking at the flour-covered figure, Alex knew it was the little girl. He was relieved to see that she was fine. The moment he heard the blast, he had run to Ella Smith's room to check, but when he didn’t find the little girl there, his heart started beating like crazy, and he rushed downstairs in a panic.
Only to find that his little girl had now become a clown for others. Shaking his head, he walked down the stairs. When the servants noticed that the young master had come down, they all held back their laughter and disappeared quickly.
Alex stood in front of the white puff and patiently wiped all the flour off her face, but he was stunned when he saw her little face — her eyes were red, and a tear rolled down her cheek.
“Ella, why are you crying? Are you hurt anywhere? Tell brother, we’ll go to the hospital,” Alex asked anxiously and was about to pick her up when Ella quickly stopped him.
“No no brother, I’m not hurt… but it’s all ruined. I was going to cook for you, but I blew up the kitchen instead,” Ella cried. She really wanted to make breakfast for Alex, but she couldn’t even manage this one little thing for him.
“Ella, you don’t have to do this. You can just tell the chefs what you want to eat, and they’ll cook it. Ella, you’re my fiancée, not my cook. You don’t have to wake up early and cook for me. Your only job is to live happily and spend the money I earn for you. Okay?” Alex coaxed her gently while brushing the dust off her clothes. He never wanted his Ella to work hard, not even for him. He wanted to treat her like a princess and make her the happiest girl in the world.
“But—” Ella tried to say something but was cut off by Alex.
“No buts. Now, let’s go get you a shower, and after that, we’ll have breakfast outside. Then we’ll go shopping, and after that, a movie. How does that sound?” Alex said while lifting Ella in his arms. He had stayed up late the night before, searching Google for how to make your wife happy.
Most of the answers said shopping, buying jewelry, and going to the movies were key. Those were the most common date activities. He had taken Ella to dinner a few times, but never on a proper date. So today, he had carefully planned the entire day.
Ella, now in Alex’s arms, looked at him shyly, her face red because Alex's bare chest — peeking through his open shirt — was right in front of her eyes.
Unlike Aria While and Ella, not everyone’s morning was this sweet. Over at the Brown residence, things were far from calm. After Jackson Bell arrested her, Lisa Brown had lost her right hand, and now she had to come up with other ways to deal with Ella.
Last night, her mom and dad came home late from work, so she didn’t get the chance to talk privately. Now, Lisa was pacing around in her room, and just like her, her mother Ava Brown was also pacing in another room, shouting on the phone.
“Didn’t you say after that night you’d take care of it? Then why is there still no news about Henry Smith’s accident?” Ava said angrily, keeping her voice down out of fear someone might overhear.
“I already sent my guy to the address you gave me, but Henry isn’t staying there. How is my man supposed to kill someone who isn’t there?” Leo replied in an irritated tone. He had sent people out, but there was no sign of Henry, even in City A, where they were still searching for him.
“I don’t care about the details! I just want Henry dead — no matter what it takes. You can’t back out now. You have to get rid of him for me,” Lisa said, stubborn as ever.
“I’ve already got people searching, but it’s gonna take time. Henry isn’t easy to trick. Do you have any idea where he might be working in City A? If you give me any clue, I’ll send my men to tail him,” Leo asked Ava.
“No, I don’t know anything. He’s keeping his movements secret. No one knows where he is,” Ava said, annoyed. Henry had already escaped one accident and was now hiding his whereabouts smartly.
“Alright, alright, give me a little time. I’ll find him. But now that the job’s gotten harder, the payment should go up too. We’ll meet at the same place this evening,” Leo added, with a disgusting smirk that Ava couldn't see but would have hated.
