Inside the villa, Axe was about to shoot Spike when someone rushed in from outside.
"Boss, a few cars are heading towards our villa," the guy reported.
Axe lowered his gun. Things were moving faster than he expected. His place was near the border of Haskium and Dongeriget, an area known for its chaos and frequent riots.
He chose to live here for convenience, and his bodyguards weren't ordinary folks—they were mercenaries.
Sure, Samson was powerful. But Axe wasn't easily intimidated. Taking him down wouldn't be a walk in the park.
"How many cars?" he asked.
"Three," the guy replied.
Axe sneered, "They're really underestimating me. Three cars? They're asking for it."
'Good. I'll make sure he's dead for good today and get this long-standing problem out of the way once and for all,' he said inwardly.
What he didn't know was that those three cars were just a distraction.
Meanwhile, Samson's elite had quietly infiltrated his turf.
Someone in the car remotely hacked the security cameras, then they took out the guards one by one.
When a mercenary spotted them, they had already reached the second villa.
Instantly, gunshots rang out inside the villa.
When he heard the commotion outside, Axe's heart sank.
Things were moving faster than expected. And Samson came well prepared.
Axe grabbed the gun, frantically pulled out a bag from the drawer, and, under the cover of his bodyguards, made a dash for the exit.
'As long as I lived, I'd have options. I couldn't fall into Samson's hands. Escape first,' he thought.
"Boss, they're coming this way. Let's get out of here," a mercenary said, clutching his bleeding wrist.
"Damn it!" Axe cursed. This was his safest spot in Haskium, but now it wasn't safe anymore. Soon, this place would be leveled.
"Hold them off. Samson only brought three cars; there can't be many people. Round up all the brothers to fight," he ordered.
"Got it," one bodyguard responded and rushed out.
There was still a lot of money and valuables in the villa, but there was no time to take anything.
'Forget it. Survival first.' Without thinking further, Axe and a few bodyguards made a run for another exit.
Seeing the situation turn bad, Spike steeled himself and decided to follow Axe.
He was just an ordinary guy, despite some past fights, but nothing like this.
Moreover, the adversary was none other than Samson, the one who wanted their lives. He couldn't fall into Samson's hands.
Axe noticed Spike following him. He glanced sideways, not caring about Spike's life at all. Bringing him along would only be a burden.
'I should've shot him dead just now to avoid further trouble,' he thought.
The thought crossed his mind that Samson's people had shown up not long after Spike arrived.
This place hadn't been discovered in ten years, so how did Samson find out so quickly? He couldn't help but suspect that Spike led them here.
But there wasn't time to ask about these things right now.
He kicked Spike hard. "Get lost! I'm in deep shit myself."
With that, he grabbed his bag and was ready to leave.
Spike wouldn't just wait to die. Falling into Samson's hands meant certain death, and a painful one at that.
He was sure Samson had already captured Andrew and probably killed him.
If not dead, Andrew would be half-dead thanks to Samson's methods.
What they didn't know was that Spike's phone had already been fitted with a tracker.
Three phones were fitted with trackers because these three people had an unusual connection with Andrew.
Arielle arranged everything days ago—buying the equipment and hiring someone to lure Spike and others out.
She managed to get all this done in five days, and all she knew for sure was that Andrew was involved in the incident back then, but she had no idea about anyone else.
After following them for several days, she found that their daily routines were all quite normal, with no clues to be found.
So she made Andrew expose himself first by sending videos to Samson. Once Andrew got caught, those related would panic for sure.
Spike was finally identified. Within two hours of the video being exposed, he hastily drove out, continuously making phone calls.
As soon as Spike left, Samson followed closely behind.
Spike got up from the ground and quickly followed behind Axe.
Axe turned around, picked up his gun, and fired several shots at Spike without hesitation.
Before Spike could react, several bullet holes appeared on his body already.
Spike never expected he'd die in what he thought would save him.
The incident from back then left only the three of them alive. Andrew was now caught, meaning their identities had been exposed.
Spike even tried to threaten him. But now, he was the only one left who knew about the incident.
Once he made his comeback, he was definitely gonna take Samson down.
After dealing with Spike, Axe didn't dare waste any time and quickly made his escape.
Back when he built this villa, he had rearranged a few escape routes leading outside.
One of them was super secret, meant to stay hidden.
They were moving fast, passing by another villa, which had a stash of guns and gold in its underground tunnel.
Too bad they couldn't take any of it.
All he could think about now was running for his life.
'Surely Samson wouldn't find such a sneaky tunnel, right?' he wondered. But, as luck would have it, things didn't go as planned.
After a tough struggle, they managed to open the exit door together, only to catch their breath for a second.
There, waiting outside, was a group of people already surrounding them.
They were completely trapped.
Turning back wasn't an option anymore.
A few rough guys from Samson's group yanked them out.
'Game over! Everything's done for,' Axe screamed inwardly.
He'd rather die than get caught by Samson.
Once he fell into Samson's hands, what awaited him was worse than death.
He was just about to off himself. Unfortunately, he was a step too late.
In the next second, someone broke his hand.
Then, dozens of uniformed men with rifles appeared in front of him, definitely private soldiers.
'Who else but Samson could have that kind of power?' Axe thought. Sure enough, his guess was quickly confirmed.
The soldiers made way, and a middle-aged man in a suit walked up from behind them.
The click-clack of his leather shoes on the ground felt like knives cutting into Axe's heart.
'He's here, definitely him.' Fear hit hard. Axe, even used to big scenes, was panicking inside.
He knew too well what Samson was capable of.
Samson looked down at the man pinned to the ground, stepping hard on his face. "Axe, I finally found you."
He had waited ten years for this moment. Countless sleepless nights, every time he thought of his wife and daughter's battered bodies, his heart ached beyond measure.
Axe and Samson used to be in the same gang, but later, Samson joined another one.
The two gangs were always at odds. But Samson believed he hadn't done anything wrong to Axe.
"Samson, I was wrong!" Axe cried out in pain.
"Boss, a few cars are heading towards our villa," the guy reported.
