Georgie was determined to make this stunning beauty his.
Just then, Georgie's firm and commanding voice rang out. "I want to get to know you. Do I have the honor?"
Emily gasped, her eyes widening in utter shock.
Georgie's words carried the underlying message, he wanted Arielle to be his girlfriend.
She thought, 'Was I just dumped like that?
'Seriously? We've only been together a few days, and Georgie's already cheating on me right in front of me!
'Georgie is such a scumbag!
"It's all because Arielle is such a slut. Even outside, she can't stop throwing herself at men. Born to be trash. How could my aunt give birth to such a disgrace?'
Arielle paused, deep in thought.
She mused, 'If I remember correctly, the Boone family and the Tate family have already formed a partnership by now."
Arielle masked the sharp glint in her eyes.
Batting her lively lashes in mock surprise, she said, "So it really is Mr. Tate. But for the Tate heir to fall for this kind of woman... your taste really leaves something to be desired."
As she spoke, her gaze landed squarely on Emily, pointedly emphasizing "this kind of woman."
Emily was stung by her cutting remark.
Emily fumed inwardly, 'She actually had the nerve to imply I'm not good enough for Mr. Tate!'
'Fine, mock me if you want, but did she really have to humiliate me right in front of him?'
Emily jabbed a finger at Arielle's face and shouted, "What the hell are you talking about?"
Arielle didn't even spare her a glance. "Are you deaf? Didn't you hear what I just said?"
Hearing Arielle's words, Georgie was overjoyed.
He thought smugly, his ego swelling with pride, 'Sure, plenty of women are into me, but hearing it from a stunner like her is something else.
'She's basically saying I deserve someone way better, not trash like Emily.'
In that instant, his vanity swelled to new heights, fueling his arrogance.
Georgie shot his bodyguard a pointed look.
Instantly, the bodyguard pulled Emily aside.
Emily didn't dare resist since Georgie could crush her like an ant.
Seething with helpless resentment, she could only glare daggers at Arielle.
Just then, Arielle spotted a group of familiar figures approaching from across the way.
Seizing the moment, she strode right up to Emily, a cold smirk playing on her lips.
She said, "Your mouth's been running wild just now, and I don't take crap from anyone. So, what do you think I should do about it?"
Georgie watched the young woman in front of him, his fascination growing by the second.
He thought, 'Now this one's got attitude!
'I like her.
'No, I love her!'
He was eager to see how she would punish Emily.
Crossing his arms, he settled in to enjoy the show.
Emily didn't believe for a second that Arielle would dare hit her in public. Chin jutting out defiantly, she stared Arielle down with undisguised arrogance, thinking, 'There's no way she'd lay a hand on me in front of everyone.'
She said, "Who are you to talk? You reek from head to toe, yet you dare criticize me? You..."
The sharp crack of a slap echoed through the air.
Before Emily could finish speaking, another sharp slap landed across her face with a resounding crack, leaving her stunned mid-sentence.
Emily snapped back to reality, clutching a hand to her stinging cheek. Her eyes were wide with fury and utter disbelief.
'Didn't she already slap me once? How dare she slap me again!' Emily thought, stunned and furious.
Emily clutched her cheek, her voice trembling with shock and outrage. "You hit me?
"Who the hell do you think you are? I don't care who's got your back, cross me, and you'll get slapped!" Arielle glanced at the approaching figure, then turned back to taunt her even more.
"Or is your backer just a spineless turtle, too scared to come out and stand up for you?" Arielle sneered.
Emily seethed with rage. But when she saw that Georgie showed no intention of backing her up, she dared not fight back against Arielle.
'That woman's a complete maniac, she even beats up guys in Peterborough High! There's no way I can take her on alone,' Emily thought.
Emily knew better than to pick a fight she couldn't win, but she still had to put on a brave face.
She declared, "I'm your cousin! Aren't you afraid I'll tell your parents? They'll make you pay for it!"
Arielle sneered, "What a joke! Who the hell do they think they are, daring to lecture me?"
Her words utterly shattered Emily's worldview. Her eyes went wide in disbelief.
'How can she be so brazen?' Emily thought in shock. 'Where does she get the nerve?'
She said, "You... you're absolutely heartless! No wonder Meredith is always bullied by you at home, you..."
"Emily..." Meredith's soft, gentle voice cut through Emily's furious questioning.
'Here they come!' Arielle thought with satisfaction.
Arielle took two deliberate steps back at just the right moment.
Just then, Meredith arrived with Perla, Mya, and Gavin.
Gavin and Georgie exchanged greetings, their voices laced with polite formality.
Meredith made to ask Emily what had happened.
With just a look from Georgie, his bodyguard immediately dragged Emily away.
Emily could only cast a helpless glance, not daring to say a word.
She knew that Georgie didn't want anyone to find out about her argument with Arielle.
Meredith had never liked Emily. She only kept up appearances because their families were related.
Watching Emily get sent away, Meredith felt a wave of relief. 'Good riddance,' she thought. The last thing she wanted was Emily spoiling her date with Gavin.
Meredith's soft voice drifted over. "Arielle, you're here too."
"So you can be here, but I can't?" Arielle shot back.
Meredith hurried to explain, twisting her fingers nervously and looking timid, as if she'd said something wrong. "Please don't be angry, Arielle. That's not what I meant, I..."
Gavin snapped, "Enough! Meredith was just trying to be nice. What's with that attitude?"
He couldn't bear to see his goddess being wronged and lashed out angrily.
Gavin fumed, 'Right in front of everyone, she didn't spare Meredith a shred of dignity.
'If she's this rude in public, I can only imagine how much worse she bullies Meredith at home.'
The more Gavin thought about it, the angrier he got. 'God, I'd love to wipe that smug look right off her face!' he seethed.
Arielle didn't even spare Gavin a glance. Instead, she turned to Georgie.Arielle Bradford
"My name's Arielle Bradford. It's getting late, I'll take my leave now," she said coolly.
She turned to leave, but Georgie called out from behind her.
"We haven't even had a drink yet!" Georgie said, his interest growing, there was no way he was letting her go so easily.
Gavin saw that Arielle was outright ignoring him.
Watching her shamelessly flirt with Georgie right in front of them made him completely lose it.
'I've seen shameless women before, but never anyone this brazen,' he fumed.
Just as Gavin was about to remind Georgie what kind of person Arielle really was, he saw Georgie stride straight toward her.
Arielle turned just as Georgie reached for her cheek.
Arielle suppressed her disgust and sidestepped with practiced ease as he reached for her.
Her icy gaze locked onto Georgie, a flash of revulsion crossing her eyes.
"I'm not interested in you," she said coldly.
Georgie froze, embarrassment written all over his face, she was the first woman who'd ever dared to reject him.
Trying to save face, he added confidently, "Whatever you want, it's yours, as long as you're mine."
Arielle pretended to ponder for a few seconds before saying, "It's not that I don't make friends. I just don't hang out with useless trash."
Georgie scoffed, "Do you have any idea who I am? Countless women would kill to be with me. You should consider yourself lucky I've taken an interest in you."
Arielle sneered. 'What an absolute shameless prick,' she thought.
She said, "I'll only believe you if you can beat me. Otherwise..."
Before Arielle could finish, Georgie impatiently cut her off. "In what?"
"Poker, car racing, horse racing, hand-to-hand combat... that's all I can think of for now," Arielle said.
Arielle deliberately listed off those options, knowing full well they'd be more than enough to catch Georgie's interest.
"Alright, let's make a bet! I'll show you my prowess. What's the wager? Ladies' choice!" Georgie shot back immediately.
