The moment the truth came out, the entire room flipped on its axis. The same guests who'd sneered at me now wore plastic smiles, their words oozing with forced sweetness.
"Elena—no, wait—Beta Elena! I always knew you were special. The way you handle Silverfang Pack's affairs? Pure genius. You've got leadership in your blood—no surprise, coming from the Alpha's lineage!"
"Beta Elena, my company owes you everything. I've stayed silent all this time, just waiting for your moment to shine."
"This was all just a big misunderstanding, Beta Elena. Your generosity is legendary. Don't hold this against us—we'd still love to work with you!"
Their words rang hollow. I snapped my fingers, cutting through the noise like a blade. "Enough. Don't ruin my show."
This was the moment I'd been waiting for—ever since Ethan betrayed our bond, tried to strip me of my rights, and tossed me aside like trash.
"Mom, Dad—even if Elena's your real daughter, after all these years… you'd really choose her over me?" Ethan's voice cracked, his arrogance crumbling. He clung to my parents' hands, eyes wild with desperation.
A heavy silence followed before my parents pulled away, firm but not unkind. "We gave you chances, Ethan. You wasted every one."
"Elena is loyal. You? You've broken our trust. This ends now. From today, you are no longer our son."
The words hit him like a physical blow. Staggering back, he crashed into Olivia—his last hope.
"At least I still have you," he gasped, gripping her arm. "When will we marry? Our pup needs a home—"
Olivia recoiled like he was diseased. "Ethan, I was playing you the whole time. As for this mistake in my belly? It won't survive the week."
Then, with a sickly-sweet smile, she turned to me. "Elena, business is business. The Greys and Rivers should work together. Here's my card—"
I took it, glanced at it, then dropped it to the floor and crushed it under my heel.
Olivia's face twisted. "You—!"
"What, shocked?" I smirked. "Did you really think I didn't know? Your family's drowning in debt, and you came crawling to Silverfang Pack for a lifeline. Well, you're right about one thing—business is about profit. And right now, the most profitable move is to bury yours."
Her confidence shattered. She swallowed hard, realizing I wasn't bluffing—not with my father's steel gaze backing me.
But she wasn't done. "Elena, think about it—I did you a favor! Ethan's trash. You dodged a bullet. Now you're free to find a real mate!"
Ethan's jaw dropped. The woman who'd sworn eternal love minutes ago was now selling him out like yesterday's gossip.
Pathetic.
And delicious.
