Ethan charged at Olivia, his voice raw with fury.
"You didn't say any of that when you came crawling back! You swore you never stopped thinking about me—that no matter what, you only wanted me. Even after I had a mate, you claimed you couldn't help loving me! And now you have the audacity to say this?"
Olivia sidestepped him effortlessly, her face twisted in disgust, as if he were nothing more than a stray piece of garbage.
"You actually believed that? No wonder I could never wrap my head around how an Alpha could produce such a pathetic excuse for an heir. Face it—you were never his real son. I didn't leave you over some grand betrayal. You were just forgettable. A shallow fool who'd lick his wounds and come running back the second someone whispered sweet nothings in his ear."
She scoffed, her voice dripping with contempt. "If I hadn't thought you were the Alpha's golden ticket to that billion-dollar deal, do you honestly think I'd have wasted my time? You're weak. The next woman who bats her lashes at you could lead you around like a lost pup. And now? You're nothing. I wouldn't even let you breathe near my shoes."
Ethan clutched his chest, his eyes burning with a toxic mix of rage and despair. When he caught the faintest flicker of pity in my mother's gaze, he lunged at her like a drowning man grasping for air.
"Mom—you do still care, don't you? Earlier, when you heard Olivia was carrying my pup, I saw the worry in your eyes. And now you're just going to stand there while she tears me apart?"
My mother exhaled, her voice heavy with finality. "Instinct makes me care. But after what you did to my daughter? Some ties have to be cut."
She leveled him with a cold stare. "For the years we shared, take the five million and go. From this moment on, you have no place in this pack."
I had to admit—my parents were being generous. Ethan had been coddled his entire life, handed every luxury without lifting a finger. Even now, after all the chaos he'd caused, they were offering him a fortune most people would never see in their lifetime.
The crowd murmured in awe, praising my parents' mercy, calling them philanthropists. Even Olivia faltered for a split second, her sharp eyes flickering with surprise as she reassessed Ethan—was there still some scrap of value left in him?
But no. He was beyond redemption.
When the words "five million" hit his ears, Ethan's face contorted in disbelief, as if he'd been slapped.
"What? The Silverfang Pack is worth billions, and you're tossing me five million like I'm some beggar? You're heartless!"
His entire body shook with fury—until suddenly, a manic grin split his face. He snatched up the divorce papers, flipping through them wildly before bursting into hysterical laughter.
"Did you forget? I'm in the will! Everything should be mine! She walked away with nothing—which means the Silverfang Pack belongs to me now!"
He jabbed a finger at the clause in the papers, then whipped out his phone, flashing a secretly recorded copy of the will. The room erupted into chaos as people scrambled to verify the documents.
Just like that, the tides shifted.
Ethan stood there, grinning like an idiot who'd stumbled upon a chest of gold, while the wolves around us recalculated their loyalties in real time.
A slick businessman stepped forward, oozing charm. "Congratulations, Alpha Ethan. Many Alphas delegate their business affairs—perhaps you'd like to discuss how I can assist you?"
The vultures had arrived.
