When I was under the water, I heard a loud splash. After a few seconds, I felt hands pic me up in bridal style and wrapped my arm around his shoulders. When I felt water no longer surrounding my face, I took a deep breath in.
"Are you OK?" I heard a panting Jungkook ask.
He was holding my legs with his left arm and treading water with his right arm and his legs.
"No!" I answered, "Fake drowning is harder than actually drowning!"
He looked at me confused and then narrowed his eyes at me.
"So you can swim?!" He sounded pretty annoyed.
"Yeah, well, how else am I meant to get you back?!" I asked, "There was no way you would help me out the water. So I couldn't pull you in!" I wined.
He clenched his jaw- that was very attractive, but I tried to ignore it.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" He dropped my legs and started swimming back to the deck.
"YAH!" I yelled as my legs started to kick, "Take a joke!"
* * *
"I'm so hungry!" I murmured as I put my tray down on the school's cafeteria table Jennie and I always sit at.
"Is there something you want to tell me, Chae?" Jennie had a wide smirk.
"What?" I asked with my mouth already full of food.
"I heard a rumor that you and Jungkook were acting super cute the other day at the park," She took a sip of her drink, "You almost drowned?"
"From what I know, you do know how to swim? Or am I wrong?" She had the widest grin on her face.
"You're right!" I answered, "It was the only way I could get him in the water!" remembering his face, I felt a knot in my stomach, "I feel bad for playing such a dangerous prank." I whispered.
"Sup."
I turned around to match a face with the voice and noticed Jungkook with Taehyung. They were both holding their trays and staring at us.
"Oh, look who it is." Jennie grinned slyly at Jungkook.
Jungkook just nodded and sat down right next to me, placing his tray down on the table.
"Hey, baby." He rubbed my back and then turned his attention to his food again as if nothing happened.
"But- you- what?!" I looked around and then lightly placed my hand on his forehead, "Did you hit your head?" I asked.
He shook his head slowly, "We're dating, remember?"
Weirdly enough, even though it was me who asked him, he is way better at this whole 'fake dating' thing. It is most probably because he has actually had a girlfriend. Unlike me; who has never dated. Mostly because high school boys are stinky!
"Fake." I corrected him softly, "We're fake dating."
He smirked, "Well, we have to act like it, sweetie."
I hated the fact that he was right.
"We still need to go over those rules," I told him.
"There is honestly no need for that." Jungkook picked up a piece of his chicken and put it on my tray.
"There is!" I responded, "For one, I don't like you touching me."
He looked up at me like I was stupid, "If I don't touch you, then how will that convince anyone that we're dating?!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Can you two do this somewhere else?" Taehyung asked.
"No, no, no." Jennie waved her hand in Tae's face, "They're cute!"
I bit my lower lip and turned to face Jungkook again, "Let's meet at the willow tree?"
He nodded and then proceeded to eat his food.
* * *
"OK," I clapped my hands, "repeat them again!"
Jungkook rolled his eyes, "Do I really-"
"Jungkook!"
"Alright, alright." He sighed, "Three, you have to come to all my basketball games. Two, I have to watch movies with you. One, no kissing."
We both agreed that no touching, whatsoever, would make people suspicious- Especially Lisa and Jisoo. So we decided on no kissing.
I smiled, "Great!"
I then looked at my notebook where we wrote down the rules. We had a lot more, but those were the main three.
"Now, you repeat them." He tapped the book.
"No, I was the one who wrote most of them," I answered.
He shook his head, "Then how do I know that you know them?"
"Oh, wait! I have one more!" He gestured for the pen.
I handed him my notebook and pen, and then he began writing.
"There." He smiled.
I took the book from him and saw he scribbled out the 'no' for no kissing. I fixed it and then nodded.
"There, the main rules!"
And that was that.
* * *
I placed my books down on the library table, "Here we go!"
I sat down and tied my hair into a loose ponytail, "Mom said I can't go to the school trip if I don't get a B in my upcoming math test, so I have to study hard!"
Every year our high school makes a weekend trip for the mid-year holidays. I haven't been to any of them because my mom says it's a waste of time. Though when my dad tried to sneak me through last year, my mom said I can go this year IF, I get a B in math. (I suck at math!)
I laid out all my math books perfectly so I could find all the information I needed.
I felt hands cover my vision.
"Guess?" A deep voice asked.
I didn't need to guess. I knew exactly who it was.
"Jungkook, I really have to work!" I sighed.
Jungkook and I have been fake dating for the past two weeks. We were getting really good at it! I've been going to all his basketball games, and he's already had five movie nights with me. Although, we haven't had one at my house yet.
"Damn! I can't get anything past you!" His hands extracted from my face, and he sat down next to me, "What are you studying?"
"Math," I answered with a pout.
He gave an evil chuckle as he knew how awful I was with Math.
"I can help you if you want?" He requested.
Maybe I could use his help. He is an A student, after all.
"OK. Deal!" I responded and then looked down at my books.
"But, on one condition." He licked his lips and gave me his sly smile.
"What?" I asked in a scared tone.
"Let's have a movie night tonight at your house." He replied, "I haven't been to your place yet."
I hesitantly agreed and we dived straight into the books.
PS: He's a really good teacher...
* * *
I opened the door to my house and noticed Jimin only a few feet away from us. He was looking up at the stairs and yelled, "Dad! I'm going to a party!"
I shriveled up my face from the loud noise. Jimin turned his attention to the front door where Jungkook and I were standing. He looked blankly at me and then glared straight at Jungkook as he yelled again, "Nevermind!"
"OoOoOoO," We were all sitting on the couch and looking for a movie, "Let's watch 'Love and Leashes' what do you think, Kookie?" I asked Jungkook.
I only ever called him Kookie when I wanted something from him.
Jimin made a coughing sound, and Jungkook slowly shifted further away from me.
"We shouldn't watch that at night," Jungkook answered between coughs.
I bit my lower lip and looked back at the TV to search for something else.
"You never told me you had a brother." Jungkook whispered, "A scary, overprotective one at that."
"I do have a brother," I answered back, "And get over yourself! He's not scary!" I looked at Jimin with my innocent smile, and he gave me one back.
"So, what is your relationship with my sister, Jungkook?" Jimin asked.
Jungkook cleared his throat and sat up straight, "She's my girlfriend." He managed to say.
I tried to hold in my laugh.
"Heyo." My dad came out from the kitchen. His eyes went wide at the sight of me next to a boy other than Jimin.
"OK, Do what you want since your mom is not here, but keep it down." He was looking straight at Jungkook.
Honestly, my dad is the coolest! My mom was the over-controlling freak, but my dad wouldn't mind if I fucked a player in our pool.
"Sweet-" Jungkook cut himself off with coughs as he noticed Jimin's glare, "I will treat your daughter with the most respect, sir!"
My dad nodded and then proceeded to walk up the stairs with his small cup of water.
"Let's watch a horror?" Jimin suggested.
We all decided on 'IT', and I forgot to mention that I was horrible when it came to horrors! I was all over Jungkook- or tried to be. When the little boy started walking on the street, my hand started vigorously slapping Jungkooks thigh.
"Stop! Don't!" I shout-whispered.
I could see Jungkook laughing at me, but then he looked over at Jimin and quickly pushed my hand off his thigh. It was then that I got the idea- why not make it hard for him?
I placed my hand back on his thigh, except this time, I stroked up and down. He looked at me with wide eyes and shoved my hand off again. And so I placed it there again and gripped tightly, "Why are you taking my hand off you, baby?" I asked, trying not to sound too amused.
He bit his lower lip. I have never really touched him while watching movies, so it was probably a shock for him.
"You should get a pillow to squeeze or something, baby." He answered through his teeth.
And so it went.
The whole movie was just me making Jungkook even more scared that Jimin would kill him.
"Alright," Jimin sat up after the movie finished, "I'm going to the party. I'm sure Jungkook is leaving now?"
Jungkook nodded as Jimin walked out.
He sighed deeply.
"You want to watch 'Love and Leashes' now?" I asked with a grin.
Jungkook turned to look me dead in my eyes, "You want me to get killed by your brother?!" He asked, "You are in one naughty mood tonight Chae." He didn't sound angry, "I like it." He whispered, "Now let's watch something without me shoving you off of me."
* * *
"Jeon Jungkook!" I yelled as I hit his room door, "Jungkoook! JK! Jungkookie! Kook! Kookie?!"
Luckily for me, Jungkooks mom opened the front door, so it was just Jungkook's room door I had to break down.
I noticed the door handle move, and the door was opened, to a very messy-haired Kook!
"Chae?" He mumbled with a croaky voice.
I nodded and pushed his chest into his room, closing the door behind us. He stared at me, shocked by my sudden move.
"I got a B+," I squealed, "In the Math test!"
He nodded gradually as the information slowly entered his brain, "Look, Chae, I'm half asleep." He answered, "How about you tell me again when I wake up?"
I nodded as I watched him drag his feet to his bed again as he flopped down onto it. He covered his body with his sheets again and buried the side of his head into his pillow.
I walked over to his bed and lay down next to him, "This means I can go on the school trip." I whispered.
His eyes shot open, and his head pierced up, "Really!?" He asked.
When I nodded, his body fell on top of me in a hug, "This is great!" He squealed.
"Now, that is a better reaction." I giggled.
He lifted his face to meet mine, and his smile slowly faded as we stared deeply into each other's eyes. His eyes moved to my lips, and his head slowly moved down.
Is this it?
No.
We both heard his room door open, and he quickly rolled off of me and fell at the side of his bed. I sat up.
"Oh, was I interrupting something?" Namjoon- Jungkook's brother asked.
Jungkook and I shook our heads.
Namjoon nodded, "I'll leave then." He said with an awkward smile.
He walked out and closed the door behind him.
* * *
"Chae!" Jungkook waved his hands in the air, trying to get my attention to where he was sitting on the bus.
I walked over to him and sat down, "Hey..." I saw a few people watching us, "...Baby." I added quickly.
"I brought you something!" I scratched through my bag and pulled out banana milk.
"Wait! really?!" His eyes sparkled, "I love you!"
Did he say that because people were watching?
Was it a joke?
Or...
Did he mean it?
SHIT!
* * *
I felt my head shaking, "Chae?" I heard someone whisper. I lifted my head from where I was resting it, only to notice it was Jungkooks shoulder.
"Hmmm?" I mumbled.
"We're here."
I looked up at Jungkook, "Did I sleep the full two hours?"
He smiled, "Yeah, and on my shoulder."
"OMG! I'm so sorry." I pouted, "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
He chuckled, "No, But we will be arriving at the venue in five minutes."
I nodded and then looked down at my bag.
"Did you, by any chance, finish the banana milk?" I asked.
He bit his lower lip, "Yah! You were sleeping on my shoulder the whole way!" He crossed his arms, "Take it as fair!"
"Are you OK?" I heard a panting Jungkook ask.
He was holding my legs with his left arm and treading water with his right arm and his legs.
"No!" I answered, "Fake drowning is harder than actually drowning!"
