I was perched in one of the front door chairs at wendy's ribs thinking about how I have the best cousin in the world as I slowly bit the flesh out of my ribs.
Man I love Chloe.
"Can we talk?" That voice. No shit... Carter. I wasnt ready to talk about what happened and remembering how i was wearing his boxers a day ago made me choke on my bone.
"Water...water" I said faintly as my eyes teared up. I hated how I aways managed to embarrass myself everytime I was around him.
"Here" he said handing me the mason jar he was holding. I quickly sucked chewing the straw just to get enough water out. Wendy's Ribs didnt have mason jars which meant it belonged to him.
I'm so prat.
"Thanks" I said shyly returning him his mason jar or what was left of it.
"Do you mind explaining to me why you ran away from my apartment without any explanation?"He demanded looking deranged.
Well HE was not the only one who was pissed off.
"Do you mind telling me why you would take advantage of a drunk girl" I demanded as well.
"Take advantage?" He questioned dumbfounded.
"Yes you took advantage of my drunken state and did the deed with me"It still broke my heart.
"Did the deed? You think I had sex with you?" He half laughed " I didn't have sex with you!" He spat.
Was there enough space to hide under the table?, I asked myself. I felt embarrassed so embarrassed highly embarrassed utterly embarrassed beyond embarrassed.
Then it hit me.
"If we didnt do anything why was I wearing your boxers and your tshirt?"I asked ... heart beating .
"I changed you" he replied and looked down. His cheeks changing color to this point I had never seen a handsome boy blushing. The sight was bliss.
This just got interesting wait he changed me?
"Why?" I screamed.
"You jumped into Kenner's pool and started a pool party there everyone joined you. Then when I carried you , you were puking everywhere , you even puked on my doorstep and in my car your clothes were a mess"
I covered my face.
"I'm so sorry Carter and thank you"
"Its fine , so you left my apartment yesterday because you thought we had sex?" He asked
"You're so direct" I commented.
Why couldn't he just call it mating or jumping or shagging.
"Thanks that's a first" he smiled ,like actually smiled. I needed CPR he looked gorgeous, my heart fluttered in my oxygen deficient chest.
"So did you follow me here?" I asked out of the blue after I'd composed myself.
"Ofcourse not I was just passing by" he defended.
"Sure you were" i smiled.
"Do you want to take a walk I wouldn't mind to have a little chin wag with you" He suggested politely showing off his strong accent and knowledge of difficult British terms.
"Sure" I replied and requested to get a doggy bag so I'd leave with him.

"So where'd you grow up?" I asked Carter as we walked along a deserted road.
"I grew up in England" he replied coldly.
"So have you ever travelled?" I continued asking ignoring his unfriendly tone.
"Yes I travel a lot" he said with a smile.
I wished I had carried my phone to capture this moment .He looked perfect.
"Hey I want to show you something " he said tugging the hem of my plaid skirt.
Grabbing my hand he ran forcing me to follow his pace.
Carter opened the door to his car and led me in. Still the gentleman I see.
"Were are we going?"I asked annoyed.
"You'll see when we get there".
The sun was about to go down when He finally parked his car infront of a view from the beach or was it just plain land whatever it was I had no I dea.
"Come" he said and sat on the bonnet of his car gesturing like a young boy for me to come sit next to him.
"Tilt your head" he said touching my head slightly moving it. His touch sending thrills to my sensory neurones, I needed control.
"Now check the view"
He whispered his head above mine.
And I checked the view. It looked peaceful and sad. You know the lonely type of peaceful yes that one but it captured my attention for i had long been a sad person.
"Beautiful" I murmured lost in my memories.
After the sun went down we both laid down on the bonnet and star gazed. How long does it take before you fall in love because I think I'm falling.
"You should've heard yourself last night" he laughed out of nowhere.
"Oh yeah what did I say?"
He shifted his form a bit so he was facing me and said.
"So last night when we reached my apartment you said 'Carter I'm hungry'" he mimicked my voice in a high pitch.
"Hey I do not speak like that" I protested detesting the sound of his tone.
"Shhh , then I asked what you wanted to eat now guess what you said" he said with an amused expression.
"Just tell me already"
"If you insist" he paused for a while" You said 'you , I want to eat you Carter like Chloe does to Henry' " He finished off his sentence and that's how you make a tomato, no like literally my face was red.
"I did not say that!"this was me trying to save me from embarrassment.
"You did" he laughed which was a melodious sound by the way.
"Did not"
"Did too"
that was it I pulled my tongue out and as soon as he saw that he tickled me. No way Jose how old was he Again?
"Stop...(loud laugh)...it hurts...(loud laugh)" and when he did let me go I was full on crying with laughter.
"You sound funny when you laugh" he announced staring back at me.
Then silence took over.
He drove me to the studio when it was late...Because we took a walk again. I thought I was clingy , because at this point I didn't want to let him go anywhere. Cheesy ... I know.
We reached the studio and I got out the car quickly.
"I had fun" he said
"Me too" I smiled .
He looked at me closely and put a stray strand of hair behind my ear.
"Bye" he smiled and I was blushing .
"Bye goodnight" I replied with a toothy grin. Which creeped him out so much that he threw me a glance and left after he bid me goodbye.
CARTER HAD JUST SPENT THE DAY WITH ME.
I HAD WENDY'S RIBS TODAY.
I FOUND CHLOE AND HENRY IN A STABLE POSITION.
This was by far the best day of my life.
