She didn't turn to look at the person because she already knew who it was.
She bit her bottom lip and inhaled deeply through her nose before exhaling through her mouth and the deep breath trick calmed her down a little.
She could hear his heavy footsteps approaching her as she slowly turned around to face him.
She noticed his eyes roving over her attire once before they darkened. Perhaps he got the hint of why she was out there in such clothes.
"What are you doing here?" His voice was a low whisper as he stood hovering over her. She didn't step back and forced herself to match his intense gaze.
"I was requesting beta Eren to train me," She was swooning over her confidence.
She had made up her mind a lot last night. She wasn't going to be like a scared little princess anymore. She will become strong.
"Come," He said sternly as he grabbed her small hand in his big veiny one and started to drag her out of there. She wanted to struggle but she didn't want to create a scene in front of his people. From his acting yesterday in front of the elders, she knows she had to pretend to be all lovey-dovey with him in front of people so she let him drag her.
Once back into his mansion she tried to yank her hand out of his grasp because the sparks were crazy but he didn't let go. He only tightened his hold on her hand and jerked her closer.
"I told you to not leave the mansion just yesterday," He said, being illogical like always.
She didn't pay any heed to him as she tried to free her hand but to no avail. His hold was like steel but not hard enough to hurt her.
"I just want to get stronger. W...what's wrong if I w...want to train?" She asked in a soft voice and he sighed as he let go of her hand.
When he woke up and didn't find her in the mansion he lost it. He thought she ran away but luckily that wasn't the case.
"There's nothing wrong with it," He said walking towards the stairs simply ignoring her existence.
She wanted to be thankful that he left her alone but she also needed answers.
"So why did you d...drag me here?" She queried and he tsked, turning slightly to glare at her over his shoulder.
"Stop annoying me," He muttered and her jaw slacked as she stopped mid-step and he continued to ascend the stairs.
Bipolar.
Glaring daggers at him, she walked back to the main door to leave but the door was locked. She gnashed her molars in anger. She was always a calm person but he was getting on her nerves.
His nonchalant and out-of-character behavior has changed her behavior as well. She was standing up against him and was confident. The girl who easily gets intimidated before was now standing up against the cruelest man.
Maybe she had also hit her head somewhere. But it was his demeanor that extracted this side of her. His not-so-scary personality was the most unexpected thing about him but still, she couldn't decipher which one of the Draken was real.
The one who threatened her to come to his pack or the one who faked the mating ritual for her. She didn't know.
She was back in her room, sitting on the bed sulking. A while later the door was knocked and she sprang to her feet hoping it was Charlotte but unfortunately it was Draken standing in the doorway. Freshly bathed. She was the first to look away.
"Change your clothes, we are heading out." He commanded as if he was her boss.
Aurora dared to do something impossible. She tried to shut the door to his face but he slammed his palm on the door stopping it from closing as he pushed it open and barged inside.
Grabbing her arm he yanked her to him rather roughly. "Do not cross your line, Aurora. Don't ever disrespect me if you didn't want me to show you my worst side," He hissed coldly causing her eyes to widen as the fear that she was pushing away so badly surged forward and her gaze dropped.
He let her go. "You have five minutes," He grumbled before leaving the room.
Her eyes glossed up as she sniffed and hurriedly changed her clothes. It took her a lot to tell herself to be strong and not scared of him but a single threat from him had the base of her confidence shaking.
She walked down the stairs as he stood there with his broad shoulders glaring at his wristwatch.
He noticed her, barely glanced at her as he walked out leaving no choice for her but to follow him.
She could've retaliated and told him she would not take his orders but that would only make him angry and grumpy. She didn't even have breakfast, she already felt drained and had no energy to fight him.
"Come on," He opened the passenger door of his Audi for her. She quietly sits down and now as she was quiet he seemed to be so calm and at peace.
She was never a violent person but she was having this great urge to ruin his peace.
He got in the driver's seat and roared the engine to life. She didn't ask him where he was taking her. It was not that he would answer her anyway.
She could think that he was taking her somewhere to kill her but that wasn't the case. He couldn't kill her because if he does that, he knows her father and her brothers would start a war.
She kept her gaze focused outside the window, staring at the trees. The car came to a halt and she frowned.
He got out of the car and she followed. Grabbing a trolly he walked inside the store and she couldn't do anything else except to follow him. "Pick the things you need in the kitchen and also whatever you need," He said in a deep voice and she blinked.
What was this? Grocery shopping?
