She walked through the aisle as he dragged the trolly behind her. She wasn't a good cook nor did she have any experience but she still picked up the most common things that were needed in his kitchen.
She put a box of chocolates in the trolly and peeked at him for a second. Thankfully he didn't seem pissed.
An idea popped into her head. She should make him go broke. She smirked internally and started to put all the snacks in the trolly. She continued this and he didn't stop her which annoyed her.
They walked up to the counter as he paid the cashier with his card. He didn't even look at the price. He grabbed all the shopping bags.
She walked beside him quietly. She didn't miss how everyone was greeting him with respect and a few even looked scared in his presence. A lot of the people were looking at her with curiosity and it made her flustered. She didn't like eyes on her and she also never liked crowded places.
"Take out the immobilizer from my pocket," He said and she looked at him dumbfounded. "Huh?"
"Here," He motioned, looking down. His hands were full with the shopping bags.
Hesitantly she stepped forward to get the keys. She tucked her index finger and thumb in his pocket and grabbed the immobilizer.
She didn't realize it when she got closer to him while taking it out. Once she pulled it out she looked up at him only to freeze.
He was so close looking down at her with an indescribable look in his eyes but his emotionless face gave nothing away.
She abruptly moved back and fidgeted with the immobilizer before she opened the back door and moved aside as he placed all the bags in there.
He held his palm to her and she placed the immobilizer in his hand, cautious not to touch him.
They both got into the car as he roared the engine to life and reversed out of the parking lot.
The drive back to the mansion was silent and unfortunately, the silence was broken by a grumbling of her stomach.
She slumped her shoulders in embarrassment and looked away.
Draken fumbled with the stuff or the backseat and the next thing he dropped the box of chocolates in her lap.
Her gaze whipped in his direction and she couldn't take her eyes off. The sunlight that fell on him made him look even more handsome. She noticed the way he languidly turned the steering wheel with the palm of his hand.
"I know I'm handsome but you don't have to make it that obvious," His deep voice resonated in the car and she scowled as soon as his words registered in her mind.
Cocky.
Arrogant.
Jerk.
Biting the inside of her cheek she focused her gaze on the chocolates. Unwrapping it she started to munch on it and instantly her mood changed.
She was so drowned in eating her chocolates, that she didn't notice him stealing glances at her.
They reached the mansion as he pulled over. Getting out of the car, he grabbed the shopping bags. She was about to grab a few of them but he didn't let her.
She didn't have the spare keys and his hands were full. She couldn't help but think if he was doing it on purpose, making her collect things from his pockets.
"***** put this pin," He said and she frowned before her eyes fell on the keypad.
She pressed a pin into a keypad and the door unlocked automatically. She instantly memorized the pin. It would help her escape.
She opened the door wide for him as he walked inside. He closed the door as he trekked into the kitchen and placed all the bags on the island counter.
She placed the box of chocolate there and proceeded to check the things they brought. She was hungry and she wanted to make something to eat quickly.
She decided to make sandwiches. Aurora proceeded to gather the ingredients when she felt a presence behind her.
Her breath hitched when she felt the warmth of his body before even turning around.
She gasped when he placed his large hands on her waist and turned her around. Her wide eyes met with onyx hues as she craned her neck up to look at him.
She noticed how his gaze moved from her eyes to her lips. She wasn't breathing at all, contemplating his next move.
The rough pad of his thumb caressed her lower lip rather sensually and she suppressed the tremble of her body at the sparks.
"There was something on your lip," He rasped, stepping away from her and she finally breathed. Her cheeks were warming up as she turned around not being able to meet his gaze.
Her heart was pounding faster. Why did it seem like he was going to kiss her?
She peeked at him over her shoulder and her eyes widened when she saw him placing his thumb on his lips, there was a remnant of chocolate on his thumb as he wiped it clean. He wasn't looking at her.
Her cheeks flamed red as she looked at the slab with big wide eyes.
What was that?
An indirect kiss?
He could've told her to wipe the chocolate but he decided to wipe it on his own just so he could indirectly kiss her.
Her heartbeat was increasing with each passing second. She shook her head and tried to calm herself down as she fanned her face as if that would cool down her flaming cheeks.
She heard his footsteps fading away and once he was gone she breathed in deeply.
Diverting her mind she focused on the sandwiches at hand. Washing her hands she gets to work.
She prepared a few sandwiches and contemplated whether to call him or not and surprisingly he showed up on his own. He took the seat on a bar stool and she took the one opposite him as she served him and then herself.
Coincidently, it felt comfortable. Never had she ever thought that she'd share a meal with the Alpha of North pack and yet here she sat. The difference was that he wasn't as scary as he shows.
Maybe he just pretends to be a ruthless bad guy but in reality, he wasn't.
She peeked a glance at him to see if he liked the sandwich and he was already looking at her.
She dropped her gaze as his earlier stunt meandered her head. She should not be thinking about that incident when he was just sitting right in front of her. Her eyes fell on his thumb. The same thumb was on her lips. Why was she exaggerating that little act in her mind?
She noticed that he grabbed his third sandwich. Maybe he liked it or maybe he eats like a beast just like Hunter.
The doorbell rang and he got up to check.
A minute later Aurora heard a loud squeal which sounded like a girl. Curiosity got the best of her as she went to check who it was only to freeze in her spot when she found an unknown woman with her arms wrapped around Draken.
