Aurora has been secretly looking for her phone as she did all the cleaning. For two days straight, she tried her best to find her phone. The last place was his study. Charlotte had told her that he often works in his study in the mansion and most of the time it stayed locked in his absence. Luckily she had found a bunch of spare keys for all the doors.
She was kind of sure that her phone was in there.
As she lay in her bed. She couldn't help but think about tomorrow because it will be her Luna ceremony.
She was nervous. She didn't want to break the bond with her pack and join this new pack but she had no choice. This Luna ceremony was important for her if she wanted to escape.
With those thoughts in her mind. She drifted off to sleep. Aurora woke up early in the morning. She made breakfast and got back to her chores. She was still avoiding him. She noticed that he didn't return to the mansion last night.
She didn't want to think about it but her mind went to Echo. What if he was with her?
She shook her head and was busy working when the doorbell rang. She knew it must be Charlotte.
"Hurry up and get ready," Charlotte chirped as she handed her the shopping bag that had a dress in it and the other bag had heels with jewelry. Charlotte had precisely informed that Draken had chosen everything for her.
Aurora showered as she changed into that dress. It was a beautiful caramel-colored dress that complimented her skin. It hugs her curves like a second skin.
Aurora stared at herself in the wall-length mirror. She has an average body with wide and average size boobs. But her face always made her look younger than her age.
The dress was beautiful and flowy. It was fully covering her from her collarbones to her ankles. Even the sleeves were full. She noticed that the neck area was also covered where his mark should be. He chose the dress very cleverly and yet it was classy and elegant.
She was nothing extraordinary. Just a normal girl. Maybe that was why Draken won't even spare her a single glance. Aurora couldn't help but think that Echo was far more beautiful than her.
Sighing she stepped out of the restroom and Charlotte was waiting for her. "Woah, sexy." Charlotte mused and Aurora's cheeks tinted red and she warned her with wide eyes. She made Aurora sit down as she did her light makeup.
Aurora wasn't happy internally, she was sad and kind of scared. Charlotte did her hair in wavy curls.
Aurora had requested to keep the makeup minimal.
Once Charlotte was done Aurora stared at herself in the mirror. She looked beautiful. Almost like a confident woman.
"Thank you," Aurora thanked her as Charlotte gave her a sheepish smile and left to get ready.
Aurora walked out of her room only to freeze when she found Draken striding toward her in the hallway. He was wearing a crisp white button-down and black slacks.
There was a surprise in his eyes as his onyx gaze worked down her body. There was something in his stare that left her skin scorching in its wake.
His eyes finally met her nervous ocean hues as she dropped her gaze. She held her arm lightly and looked anywhere but at him.
Her breathing had deepened and she could feel the intense scrutiny of his gaze on her.
"Let's go," He said. His voice came out deeper than normal as he cleared his throat.
He turned around and it was as if she could breathe again. She followed him quietly to the packhouse. There were people gathered around. So many people.
Thanks to the sunlight, the icy weather was bearable.
They walked into the packhouse and then stepped into the huge hall. She gulped seeing the huge throne made up of skulls and bones right in front of her. Dread started to creep into her bones as he ascended the small stairs and stood in front of the throne.
There was another throne to his right. It was a little smaller but still, it was also scary. All of a sudden she felt she was thrown back to the barbarian era.
He forwards his hand as she stares at it. She noticed everyone's eyes on her and it was nerve-wracking enough.
She placed her hand in his big palm as the sparks flew. His veiny hand engulfed her small one as he helped her up.
She stood beside him as she breathed in deeply and squared her shoulders to face his people. She had to be confident. She can't let them see that she was scared or weak.
"Meet Aurora Colt. The princess of the Moon pack." Draken said loud and clear.
Aurora's brows furrowed. Was he mocking her by calling her princess in front of everyone like that?
"She is my mate and your Luna." He said.
She noticed a few of the people were looking at her with kind eyes while some were glaring at her for a reason she knew nothing of. She was glad that Echo was nowhere in sight. She seemed the type of woman who would create a scene because Aurora was becoming Luna of her pack.
Beta Eren came forward as he presented a historical-looking dagger to Draken. He grabbed it and turned to face her.
She gulped. She was scared. Her heart was drumming in her ears. She kept telling herself to be strong.
This was supposed to happen no matter what.
She watched as Draken sliced his palm and blood dripped on her floor. He didn't even wince. There was no painful expression on his face.
He then turned to face her and she breathed in deeply through her nose. He didn't need to ask her as she forward her hand.
He noticed the trembling of her fingers as he grabbed her hand. "It's okay," His voice was a small whisper of assurance. She raised her eyes to look at him and at that exact moment she felt a sharp pain.
Their gaze was locked as he pressed his palm against hers and their blood intertwined.
A jolt of current ran down her spine as she felt the connection instantly.
At that moment she realized she had taken the blood oath to protect this pack while standing side by side with Draken.
He gave the dagger to Eren as he let go of her hand. He was the first one to look away. Aurora on the other hand was overwhelmed by this overpowering connection with the North pack and especially him.
Charlotte came forward as she applied an ointment made of herbs on her palm for quick healing.
Draken shook his head at Charlotte when she was about to put medicine on his palm. He faced his people.
"From today onwards. Aurora is officially the Luna of North Pack," He said loudly. His voice was hard and cold as everyone burst into a chorus of cheers and congratulations.
She didn't know why but a smile fluttered across her lips on its own as she faced the people. Her people. She was their Luna.
The emotions that swarmed her heart at that moment were indescribable and at that exact moment, she made a decision that would either make her stronger or simply break her.
With new determination, she made up her mind to stay in this pack and change Draken for good.
She was kind of sure that her phone was in there.
