The celebration went on for a long while as considerable people congratulated her and she got to meet many people. The dinner was served and everyone enjoyed the meal. The whole thing lasted for hours. When they get back to the mansion. It was late at night and she was tired.
Back there she wanted to sit down and relax but it didn't feel right to keep sitting and greeting the members. Her mom had taught her to respect everyone no matter the color status or anything and now she has made up her mind to be the true Luna of this pack. Then she had to work for it.
Once inside her room she locked the door and got out of the dress. She freshened up and wore a large-sized shirt, the one she had stolen from Rasmus's wardrobe.
She didn't wear anything else except a shirt and lace black panties. She was just so tired.
Climbing onto the bed she disposed of her body on it and sighed feeling the soft mattress.
She blinked slowly.
Did she have it in her to give this mate bond a chance? From the start, she only wanted to get out of this mate bond as soon as she found out who her mate was.
But now she was the Luna of the North pack. She had taken the blood oath. She was taking it lightly before but it was no joke. She can't just escape. She will get nothing by running away.
If she stays here at least she will have the chance to stop Draken from attacking any more packs or from killing innocents.
One thing her father had taught her. No one was born evil in this world.
What can she do to make the of hers a little soft and sweet?
Her eyelids felt heavy as they drooped and she slowly gave in to sleep.
It was in the middle of the night when she had the urge to pee. Groggily she woke up. She had consumed a lot of juice and now she had to pay for it.
She did her business and felt relieved. Stepping out of the ensuite bathroom she ambled out of her room to get a glass of water. Her throat was all parched, maybe because she talked a lot today.
Chugging down some water she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and padded back to her room but her ears perked up and she froze on her spot.
She heard a muffled groan of pain followed by another. Her eyes widened as she gazed at the door at the end of the hallway. His room.
Was he alright?
She padded to his room and paused at the door. Her hand stopped mid-air as she hesitated to open the door.
Another muffled groan followed and her heart stammered. Without thinking she opened the door and stepped inside.
Her eyes widened when she found him writhing in his bed. The door closed soundlessly as she hurried near the bed.
He was still asleep. His chest was bare but she focused her gaze on his face. There was sweat on his forehead and his thick brows were knitted together as if he was in pain. He was having a bad dream.
Aurora panicked. She should wake him up.
She was an inch away from touching his shoulder when his onyx eyes shot open wide and she gasped loudly when his hand circled her wrist.
She didn't realize it but everything happened so fast. At one moment she was standing beside the door and next she was flying in the air before her body on the body roughly.
Her wrist was slammed on the bed and something sharp and cold touched her neck.
Aurora's eyes were as wide as saucers as she gaped at Draken horrified.
He was hovering over her like a beast holding her down with a dagger to her neck.
She wasn't even breathing as she saw swirls of gold swarming in his eyes.
The darkness in the depths of his eyes terrified. That cold menacing look as if he would slice her throat any second.
He blinked and then his features softened almost immediately as he pulled the knife away from her neck. Letting go of her wrist he straightened up and placed the dagger on the bedside table though his knees were still on either side of her hips on the bed.
She was trapped.
She noticed his gaze slid down as his eyes darkened and she followed where he was looking, her eyes widened abruptly as she could see her bare thighs. With that stunt he just did on her, her shirt has risen to her stomach, and her panties...
She abruptly grabbed the hem of her shirt and pushed it down covering herself. Her cheeks tinted red and the tip of her ears became hot.
She didn't know why but she had this urge to clarify herself so he wouldn't get mad at her.
"I..." It was as if something got stuck in her throat. She gulped and breathed in sharply which was a very wrong move from her side because all she could smell was his potent scent all around her.
She was looking anywhere but at him. The position they were in was so intimidating for her. Her heart was jackhammering in her ears.
"I heard muffled groans. I came to check and y...you were having a bad dream. I just wanted to wake you up-" She stopped abruptly when he got off of her.
She was about to scramble out of the room. When she heard his deep baritone voice.
"Stay on the bed," He said as he strode to the walk-in closet. A minute later he tossed something at her as she wasn't looking at him the thing landed on her face. She pulled it away and stared at the shirt.
"Wear it. I don't like that scent on you," That was all he said as he trekked into the ensuite bathroom.
She was like a statue sitting on the king-sized bed that smelled like him.
He meant she smelled like Rasmus. She gulped and hurriedly changed the shirt. His shirt was big and smelled like him. She just hoped he would let her leave because she listened to him.
Would he be mad?
Would he punish her now for barging into his room?
But she didn't even do anything.
A few minutes later the door opened and she barely glanced at his silhouette before he walked to the foot of the bed.
He cracked his neck casually and then climbed on the bed. Aurora moved to the edge and was about to get out of bed when he grabbed her arm and pulled her to him.
She landed on his chest with a loud oomph.
She tried to move back as he wrapped his muscular arm around her waist to keep her in place.
All of a sudden she was all too aware of her palms on the naked flesh of his chest.
"You're sleeping with me," He said in his deep voice causing her heart to stutter in her chest.
