His back was towards her and she was rendered speechless. The dark ink that marked the muscles on his back had her unmoving as she ogled at his back with wide eyes.
A dragon.
There was a dragon tattoo on his back, the head of the dragon inked expertly on his neck.
His muscles tensed under her gaze as he slowly turned around. Her big ocean eyes gaped at him.
Her eyes lingered on his hard muscular chest and then those perfectly carved abs. The brush of trimmed hair on his chest. He was just in his sweats.
Her eyes slowly moved up when they finally met the onyx hues as he narrowed his eyes at her. A blush crept up her cheeks as she abruptly turned around giving her back to him.
"S...sorry," She whispered, her voice evidence of her flustered state.
She contemplated running and saving herself from this weird intense situation but for how long would she continue to run away?
A yelp left her lips when her arm was taken in a steel-like grip. The door was slammed shut and her back was roughly pushed against it.
She winced and opened her eyes to glare at his rough tactics but her eyes widened when she found him hovering over her. One of his arms rested horizontally on the door above her head as he peered down at her vehemently.
His wet hair strands dripped with water droplets as one drop fell on the corner of her mouth.
His gaze followed the droplet and he inhaled sharply. She noticed a swirl of gold in his eyes before his eyes met her gaze and there was no emotion in them except coldness.
"Who gave you the permission to enter?" His voice was cold. The same icy detached tone he uses on her often. To scare her. To intimidate her.
"I made breakfast for you," She said, her voice small and delicate just like her.
"I said I'm not hungry," He grumbled and she just blinked at him innocently forcing herself to maintain eye contact.
"Why?" Her question was simple but it irked him.
He was already irritated by the fact that she saw him in that state last night and him being insane made her sleep with him and not only that, she didn't struggle to get away from him. F*ck.
Not to forget that he slept peacefully after that. He didn't have any other nightmares after that which was new.
Her skin felt so soft and smooth under his touch. His body urged him to touch her more. He was up before her and he couldn't f*cking leave the bed. When she finally left the room, he sat up and cursed himself because she decided to be the vixen and realized he was awake all this time.
And now here she stood caged between the door and him, looking at him with those big ocean eyes that seemed so earnest but he knows better than that.
"Because I'm not hungry," He gritted each syllable with force.
"Aren't you going to hide like you've been doing for the past week?" He queried in a harsh voice and her eyes widened for a fraction of a second as she dropped her gaze to his Adam apple.
He noticed that she avoided him in the past week.
She was not trusting her voice. She shook her head. The position they were in was scary enough for her. He was close and hovering over her like a dominant beast.
"Why?" His voice was curt.
She breathed in deeply through her parted lips and forced herself to meet his intense gaze.
"I..." She cleared her throat.
"I w...want to give us a chance," She whispered with mustered-up courage.
His brows furrowed and darkness marred his face as he glared at her.
"Us!" His voice was menacingly chilly, slicing right through her heart with the venom in it.
"Just because I made you sleep on my bed doesn't mean there's anything as us," He sneered coldly as he slammed his palm on the door right beside her head with such force that the door rattled behind her back and she jumped badly in her place as a whimper of absolute fear escaped her lips. Her eyes closed shut.
Her eyes glossed up thinking what if this hand had landed on her face?
"Don't get stupid ideas in your head. There's nothing like us here," He hissed as her chin wobbled and more tears gathered in her eyes, almost filling them to the brim, her vision blurred and she blinked as tears caressed her cheeks.
"I know w...what y...you're doing," she whispered, trembling.
He tilted his head as he raised his brow in question. He has dipped his face closer.
"And what is it?" He asked, bored his eyes focusing on the trail of tears on her fluffy pink cheeks.
"Y...you are trying to s...scare me. B...but it will not work this time," She mumbled and he looked slightly shocked for a flickering second before he neutralized his expression.
"I don't need to waste my time scaring you, little Princess. You're already terrified of me," He stated the truth as she wiped her tears with the back of her hands and shook her head adamantly.
"Y.. you called me b...baby last night," She whispered in a small voice. Her eyes fixed on his Adam apple. She didn't dare to look lower than that because he was half naked. If she looked down, the little courage she had would fly away with the wild sails of the ocean.
She heard him curse under his breath.
A gasp escaped her lips when he grasped her cheeks, four fingers on one side and his thumb on the other. He made her look him in the eyes as her lips pouted because of his hold.
"Maybe I thought of you as someone else," He gritted out and another sword pierced right through her heart but this blow was more brutal than the last one.
"You're lying. Y...you said you don't have any girlfriend," She said in a babyish voice because of his hold that was squeezing her cheeks.
She noticed how his jaw ticked. Why was he getting angry?
"Do whatever you want. Give as many chances as you want to this us but don't you dare," He sneered, his voice becoming deadly.
"Play smart with me. Stay out of my matters and I might let you live peacefully." He warned her coldly as another droplet fell on her lower lip from his wet hair.
His eyes dropped to her lips as his thumb roughly wiped the droplet from the plump lower lip before he moved back. Giving his back to her.
"Leave," He grumbled.
