"I...uh... thank you," She mumbled as she noticed that he had already saved his number in her phone.
He kept silent, munching on his food. Aurora also noticed that all her contacts were on this phone.
He was being too merciful to her.
She wanted to ask him so many questions but she didn't. She didn't want to ruin the peaceful environment. She should take things slow one at a time.
"I want to train," She mumbled and his eyes glided back to her face.
"Okay," He retorted and her jaw slacked.
Wait.
"Okay?" She asked in a little high-pitched tone full of surprise.
He blinked at her, feigning innocence. "Yeah," He breathed, shoving food in his mouth.
"I'll join beta Eren with the morning training," She said all excited.
"No," he deadpanned and her face fell.
"But," She whispered sullenly.
"I'll be the one training you," He proclaimed and she gawked at him.
She can't train with him. He'll be the strict cold trainer who would surely make her regret even thinking about training.
"B...but, I'm okay with beta Eren-"
"Either you let me train you or you won't get any training at all," He declared as she glared at him with a pout.
"Fine," She huffed.
After dinner, he helped her in clearing the table as she washed the dishes.
Aurora turned around wiping her hands with a dishcloth when she found him leaning against the counter staring at the floor with a frown set on his thick brows. His arms crossed over his chest.
"Would you like to go for a run?" He asked out of the blue and her eyes lit up at the splendid idea.
"Yes, I'd love to." She beamed. His onyx eyes glittered with amusement seeing her all excited.
"Let's go," they left the mansion and walked into the woods.
Draken stopped in the clearing as he turned to face her with his arms folded over his chest.
"This is your first time shifting, right." He asked and she bobbed her head looking up into his eyes. She was nervous and even scared. She knew how painful a first-time shift is and as a hybrid, it would be more painful for her.
And the fact that her wolf won't be big enough to the size of a normal werewolf made her hesitant.
"It'll be painful but you can do it," His deep voice caused her eyes to shimmer with motivation.
"When you start to shift, I want you to reach out to your wolf. Ask her to take the pain away. Try to connect with your wolf and become one," He instructed and she nodded taking everything in.
"Today's shift would be your first step in training." He said and she gulped.
"If the pain would be too much. I want you to stop shifting," He said solemnly, making it clear to her that he was dead serious.
"Shift," He commanded and she gaped at him.
He might've realized his mistake as he turned around giving her his back. Aurora stepped behind the tree as she skimmed out of her clothes. Taking in a deep breath she called her wolf forward. Severe pain engulfed her body as a cry tore through her lips.
Draken was the slightest second away from turning around and running up to her as he clenched his hands into fists on his sides.
"Focus on your wolf. She'll take your pain away," He said loudly so she could hear.
Aurora closed her eyes shut and called for her wolf in agony. The pain was too much to bear. It was tearing her apart. She could hear her bones cracking and an agonizing scream left her lips and her wolf took over as she shifted.
Draken clenched his jaw and when her painful scream resonated around them, he couldn't stop himself as he strode towards the tree only to halt in his steps when a small white wolf emerged from the hiding.
The silver pools stared back at him as he breathed in deeply. She made it. His heart swelled with pride. The emotions he had never felt before. She wasn't weak. Aurora was strong and he would make sure to make her stronger.
Draken crouched down and motioned at her to come closer. Her wolf form was small but it was bigger than normal wolves.
The wolf walked up to him. And he caressed the white fur which was smooth. The wolf gnashed its teeth and Draken smirked before patting its head and the wolf started wagging its tail.
"You did amazing," He said and the silver in her eyes lit up.
"Go, your first run is waiting for you." He slurred and the wolf didn't move as it nudged his leg.
She wants him to run with her.
Draken stood up as he walked behind the tree and shifted, courteous enough only for her. He didn't mind shifting right in front of her but she would've run away seeing him naked.
Big black paws came into view followed by a giant wolf that was the same height as her brothers, he was an Alpha. Of course, his wolf would be gigantic.
She felt intimidated when the huge black wolf stood hovering over her. The golden specs in his eyes peered at her with interest.
The black wolf stared at the moon and the white wolf stared at the giant black wolf in admiration.
Draken growled lowly as he faced the woods motioning at her and then they ran. Aurora giggled in her head joyously as she felt the breeze gushing past her. She was fast, almost matching with Draken's speed who eyed the little she-wolf.
Aurora was on cloud nine. She felt so happy. So proud of herself. As a child, she was so fragile and often went through the pain of the transformations in her body as a hybrid. Even Agatha said that Aurora was weak and she might never get her wolf but here she was running through the woods in her wolf form. It may be small but at least she got her wolf and she was so happy about it.
She couldn't wait to tell her family about it. They would be so happy.
They both came into a clearing and she gaped in awe at a beautiful stream.
She felt a presence beside her as the huge black wolf licked her face making her wolf whine.
The black wolf caressed her neck with its nozzle and she melted in his touch.
The moon smirked in mischief of joy as the two opposite souls were slowly blooming with love.
