"Draken is my mate, I'm not leaving him." She said with confidence and Hunter's frown deepened into a scowl.
"He is our enemy, are you forgetting that," Hunter said calmly trying to control his icy tone. He was never good at controlling his temper.
"He is my mate. He didn't treat me like an enemy," Aurora said firmly and Hunter looked away as he gripped the railing with force.
"He wants to destroy our pack, Aurora. He wants to become an Alpha King. He's already under King's radar. His life is at risk and you being staying beside him would risk your life as well," Hunter tried to reason with her.
"He didn't want power. Something bad had happened to him. From what I can understand, his motive is different from Alonso's," Aurora said and Hunter stared at her.
She didn't sound like his little sister at all. She sounds strong, intelligent, and mature.
"How are you so sure?" Hunter asked.
"Do you think he would respect his enemy's daughter and treat her with care? No right? You don't do that with the enemy's daughter. But he has been kind to me. He wants to show the world that he is a cold Alpha, a but that isn't the case." Aurora said and Hunter sighed.
Aurora was talking just like dad and Rasmus, Hunter thought. They also seemed to see something nonexistent in Draken.
"What's the case then?" He queried.
"Draken isn't what he shows to the world. I don't want to pry into his past but I know he has a good soul." Aurora said firmly and Hunter sighed, dropping his head as he glared at the railing.
"If he hurts you and you know whom to call, or I'll just threaten him now," Hunter turned to leave when Aurora abruptly grabbed his arm.
"He won't hurt me, calm down." She mumbled and Hunter breathed in deeply.
"I just don't want you to get hurt Aurora," Hunter said and she knew her brother cares for her a lot that was why he was getting all angry.
"I'll be fine," She said, passing him a soft smile and he smiled back ruffling her hair making her gasp as she stepped back screeching at him. "You ruined my hair," She complained and he only flashed her a grin making her huff out in annoyance as she smoothed her hair. How she wished Rasmus was here too.
She couldn't help but think that Draken brought her here so she could meet her brother. Maybe he knew from the start that Hunter would come.
It warmed her heart.
They walked back to Draken who was talking to someone. He noticed them as Aurora came to stand beside him. He glanced at Hunter who walked up to him.
"Better take care of my sister," It seemed like a normal conversation but Draken knew Alpha Hunter was threatening him. The only reason Hunter was calm was for his sister's sake otherwise Draken had no doubt Hunter would be lunging at him with a punch. He wasn't scared either.
Good sparring would be nice but in their case, it won't be a practice but a legit fight.
Both the men only refrained from letting their rage out because of the girl they cared for.
Draken gave him a curt nod as Hunter smiled at Aurora and left.
Draken stepped closer to her, almost in her personal space as he talked to other men.
Her feet ached because of the heels and she shifted her weight from one foot to another.
"I'll be right back," She mumbled and was about to leave when Draken circled her wrist stopping her.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I need to use the restroom," She mumbled in a hushed voice and he reluctantly let go of her wrist.
She walked away. She asked the staff about the direction. She did her business and was washing her hands when the door opened and someone stepped inside.
She glanced at the intruder and her brows shot up seeing Jonathan in the lady's restroom.
"You're in the wrong restroom," She said and Jonathan chuckled dryly.
"I'm at the right place," He smiled creepily as he stepped towards her. Her brows furrowed as she stared at the door and without thinking much she decided to leave. She was about to walk past him when he grabbed her forearm and jerked her back to her place in front of him.
She winced, yanking her arm out of his vicious grip. Her heart thudded in fear by noticing lust brewing in his eyes.
"Get out of my way," She gritted, trying to stay strong.
He took a threatening step toward her and she screamed. "DRAKEN-"
He roughly slammed his palm on her mouth with such force that the back of her head hit the wall blacking out her vision for a second as tears gathered in her eyes and she blinked against his hold.
Her wolf came forward ready to shift but his claws extended out as he grabbed her neck. The sharpness of his claws dug into her flesh.
"You are so beautiful," He groaned as his eyes roved her form, making disgust swallow her in.
She struggled in his hold trying to get away as he slowly moved his hand away and tried to kiss her making her cry out as she jerked her head away causing his lips to touch her neck.
"HELP-" Her eyes started ringing as a sharp sting erupted on her cheek as her lower lip busted from the corner and she lost her vision for a second.
He had slapped her.
She cupped her cheek when he grabbed her neck, pulling her closer he slammed her back on the wall again as she cried out in pain. "D...Draken," Her voice was croaked and small as that man laughed bitterly.
"You are calling your mate who didn't give a f*ck about you. He hasn't even marked you. I bet if I f*ck you, he won't even mind." Jonathan laughed lowly.
Big fat tears fell on her cheeks as she struggled in his hold and he kissed her neck. Her stomach churned in repugnance.
All of a sudden he changed positions so he was against the wall as he made her hands hold his collar and he lowered his face down.
"Stop it, woman. Have you lost your mind!" He grumbled and at the same time the door burst open.
"Get off me!" Jonathan hissed, pushing her away.
She turned around to run away when her eyes met with icy onyx hues. She wanted to hug him and cry but a chill of terror ran down her spine and she froze seeing that vicious expression on his face.
