Once Aurora was sure they walked out. She gaped at her almost twenty percent burnt food and turned off the stove. She immediately sauntered towards her room. Getting into the restroom she tried to calm down splashing water on her face multiple times as she grasped the basin tightly. She could still feel his hands on her and it made her shiver.
Wiping her face she wore pajamas and left the room to set the table. She was flustered and didn't know how she would face him. No matter how much she tried not to think but she only ended up thinking about tonight when they would sleep on the same bed.
She set the table as Draken walked in. His eyes lingered on her legs which were now covered. "Y.. you freshen up, dinner is ready." She mumbled while setting the tables. Her eyes were lowered as she noticed him walk away.
She breathed in a sigh once he disappeared from her sight. One thing she was sure of was a long awkward dinner.
Draken served himself as he noticed the slightly burnt taste, he cleared his throat getting her attention.
"I didn't mean to ruin your food," He said and she fidgeted with her spoon.
Crimson colored her cheeks. "It's okay," She mumbled.
The tension in the air was thick and the time went by slowly. After dinner, she washed the dishes as Draken went to his study to check some files.
Aurora retired to her room. They usually sleep together in his room, she had gotten accustomed to waking up all cuddled in his arms.
Aurora thought of going to his room and pretending to be asleep. She was about to leave when her phone went off. Her eyes lit up seeing Rasmus's name flashing on the screen.
She answered the call. "Aurora?" Rasmus's voice was restrained and she instantly knew there was something wrong.
"Rasmus. What's wrong? Is everything okay?" Aurora asked and she heard him breathe in deeply as if he was composing himself.
"Cath is about to deliver in the morning. B...but," His voice was shaky causing her heart to drop.
"She's facing complications. There are chances that our baby could be a hybrid. Agatha said we need you. Your hybrid blood in case things turned serious," Rasmus said and her heart constricted in my chest.
"Stay with Cath, Rasmus. I'm coming." Aurora said hurriedly as she strode out of her room with glossy eyes.
"Please, Aurora, we need you," Rasmus said, making Aurora's vision blurry with tears.
"I promise, I'll be there." She whispered shakily as she cut the call and all of a sudden she crashed into a wall. Before she could fall back, strong arms wrapped around her waist and she was pulled to a hard chest.
Draken's brows furrowed when he noticed her teary eyes and pale face.
"What's wrong?" Concern dripped from his voice as he cupped her cheek and wiped a tear with his thumb.
"C...Cath... Rasmus's mate, she's human, she's about to deliver a baby and there are some complications. The child could be a hybrid. T...they need me. They need my blood as I'm hybrid, please." She pleaded with teary eyes as tears kissed her cheeks and his heart twisted in his chest seeing her like this.
"D...Draken, please. Please let me go this time. I...I.. won't tell anyone that you treat me right. I promise I'll come back, just this time. Rasmus needs me Draken, p...please. I promise I will come back," She was blabbering when he cupped both of her cheeks and lowered his head down.
"Hey, shhh. It's okay." He whispered gently as she looked at him with her big ocean eyes and squished cheeks.
Her lower lip quivered as she blinked at him innocently while sniffing.
"Get ready, I'll take you there." He said and her heart did a wild thud in her chest. For a second she couldn't believe her ears. She didn't move nor did she blink as she gaped at him.
"Y...you'll take me to my family?" She asked in that innocent breaking voice of hers that rattled his heart.
"Yes, princess." He affirmed and the next thing she jumped on him, wrapping her arms around his torso as she hugged him tightly. He stiffened and before he could hug her she jumped back and strolled to her room.
"I just need five minutes," She said as she disappeared into her room.
He sighed, walked into his room as he slipped up his coat, and grabbed his muffler.
Walking out he found her wearing her coat. Walking up to her he wrapped the muffler around her neck as she blinked at him.
Grabbing her hand they walked out of the mansion where two of his warriors were already waiting for him. Aurora looked at him and he squeezed her hand reassuringly.
They got into the backseat as one of the warriors took the driver's seat and the other took the passenger seat. Draken had mind-linked them to be ready with the car as they had to go to the moon pack.
He could take Aurora alone to the moon pack but he didn't want to risk her safety that was why he asked his warriors to accompany them.
The car was put to drive. As soon as the car got on the highway. Draken pressed a red button and a partition rolled up separating them.
She looked at him as he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her to his side making her gasp as her hands landed on his chest.
She looked at him with her big doe eyes.
"It's a long journey. You should sleep." He murmured and she bobbed her head in understanding.
She moved his arm away from her waist before she hugged it to her chest and rested her head on his shoulder.
"You sleep too," She mumbled.
"Huh?"
She grabbed his head and made it rest on hers. "Sleep with me," She murmured.
His heart stuttered in his chest as he gulped. He was stiff as a statue as he rested his cheek on her head and inhaled deeply to calm down.
She intertwined her fingers with his before she softly lay a kiss on the back of his hand. "Thank you, Draken." She murmured tenderly.
