It was as if a sharp acid-dipped dagger just pierced right through her heart leaving her broken and shattered. The heartache she felt after hearing the doctor was immense as immediately warriors were called into the room and Draken was taken to the pack's hospital in an ambulance.
Eren strictly warned the warriors to not let out the news of Draken's health. Charlotte didn't let Aurora go with Draken in the ambulance as she was taken by car to the hospital.
Draken was instantly shifted into the ICU ward where he was being treated. Aurora was sitting in the corridor waiting for any news as the staff kept walking in and out of that room.
It was as if someone had gripped her heart in a vice-like grip and was squeezing the life out of her every passing second. Her tears won't stop pouring out. Charlotte rubbed her back gently as she tried to console her. Eren paced in the corridor looking worried as well.
"He'll be fine, Aurora. Our Alpha is very strong." Charlotte said as Aurora looked at her with teary eyes. "I c...can't lose him, Charlotte. I c...can't. H...he has to wake up," She sobbed covering her face as Charlotte and Eren shared a worried look.
The doctor stepped out as he stared at Eren with worry who immediately walked to the doctor.
"Things have worsened. If he was brought here last night, I could've done something but now the things have escalated out of my hands as the poison had mixed with his blood." The doctor said as Aurora heard it as well and raw fear clutched her heart. She dashed to the doctor and stood in front of him with her back to Eren.
"You're a doctor! You're supposed to save him," She said with teary eyes. This was the first time in her life talking loudly to someone.
"There's one last hope," The doctor said.
"What is it, tell me," Eren said.
"A witch could help in this. I've heard the witches knew spells that could help in extracting the poison out of the body. But the time limit is short. We only have ten hours," the doctor said as Aurora moved back and faced Eren. "Give me your phone," She demanded as Eren handed her his phone.
She instantly dialed Hunter's number. He picked up on the second call.
"Hunter?" Her voice was hoarse.
"Aurora? What's wrong? Were you crying?" His concerned cold voice was heard.
"H...hunter, D...Draken... he's in the hospital. He's dying, the poison has spread in his body. P...please, save him. I n...need Agatha. Only she can save Draken. Please, Hunter, help me." Aurora cried on the phone.
"Don't worry, we'll be there," Hunter said as he cut the call.
Aurora handed Eren's phone back as she wiped her tears and faced the doctor. "She'll be here. You must save my mate," She said strictly as the doc nodded his head and walked back inside.
She so badly wanted to be beside Draken but they won't let her go inside. With each passing second, her heart fell further into pitch darkness but she clings to hope. Just in the morning, she was so happy, and now.
An hour passed before Eren sneered, feeling a powerful aura as a portal opened and Hunter stepped out holding a girl's arm in a tight grip.
Aurora stood up noticing it was Silvia. Dashing forward she wrapped her arms around Hunter and let out a sob. Hunter let go of Silvia's arm as he hugged Aurora back. Sivia immediately stepped away from him and rubbed her arm. Her Hazel eyes looked at him with fear swarming in them.
"H...Hunter. D...Draken is hurt. P...please save him," She pleaded and Hunter turned to glare at Silvia whose heart dropped.
"She'll heal him," Hunter said in his gruff cold tone as he grabbed Silvia's arm and was about to barge into the ICU before Eren blocked his way earning a death glare from him.
"Do you trust her?" Eren asked, looking at Silvia.
"I don't," Hunter said calmly.
"Agatha wasn't there. No one knows where she went to collect some ridiculous herbs. I couldn't contact her so this was the only option I had," Hunter said in a low snicker, glaring down at Eren who could feel Hunter's cold ruthless aura as he stepped back.
Hunter stepped inside pulling Silvia along as Aurora stepped in as well behind them. Aurora's eyes fell on Draken's pale face and her heart constricted in pain.
The pain in her heart was too much. She didn't want to lose Draken. She just can't lose him.
The staff moved back as Hunter jerked Silvia closer to the bed, she looked at him with glossy eyes trying to free her arm because it hurt a lot but he only tightened his hold making her bit her bottom lip to suppress the pain.
"I...I... told y...you, I can't control my magic," she whispered in a small scared voice.
Hunter has barged into her house, threatened her, and forced her to come along with him.
He was asking her to treat a man with her spell. She's still learning and has barely made any progress. The visions were too much for her to cope with so she has been sick most days. What if she kills this man instead of treating him? Hunter wasn't understanding her point at all.
"Don't f*ck with me, witch. You've been training for months. Don't act all innocent or else-"
"Hunter!" Aurora gasped as she stepped between them and lightly pushed Hunter, making him step back.
"W...what is wrong with you? H...how could you talk to her like this?" Aurora asked, stunned.
Aurora has seen Hunter mad before but he has never talked like this with a woman before. Hunter could see that there was fear dancing in Aurora's eyes and it made his fury intensify toward Silvia as he glared at her and her hazel eyes instantly lowered.
Aurora turned to face Silvia and gently held her hands in her soft ones.
Silvia was an inch shorter than Aurora. "Silvia, my mate is dying and only you can save him," Aurora whispered as she squeezed her hands.
"Please, Silvia. I know you can do this. Save him. I beg you please save Draken," Aurora pleaded as Hunter clenched his jaw so that the veins in his neck were popping out in anger.
Silvia looked at Draken and the wound. She could tell that the man was poisoned.
"Do it," Hunter said coldly as Silvia flinched badly.
Aurora turned to stare at her brother shocked. "What's wrong with you Hunter?" Aurora asked.
"We don't have time," The doctor said.
"Hunter, you're making her nervous. Please wait outside," Aurora said and Hunter shook his head.
"I don't trust this witch," Hunter said coldly.
"I trust her, Hunter please." Aurora pleaded as a tear escaped her eye and Hunter closed his eyes for a brief second. Before stepping out he gave a menacing warning glare to Silvia that every cell in her body trembled in fear.
