Wrong and Stupid
Sa$ha – “Why do I feel like you’re dodging whenever I ask you to send me a picture of you or if I wanted to video call you? I don’t want to pressure you but it would be lovely for me to know the face of the girl who makes me laugh almost every day”
RileyS – “I am not dodging. Are you asking me because you’re scared that I’ll turn out to be an ugly piece of ass? :P If that’s so then I can assure you that I am just about as pretty as you”
Sa$ha – “It’s been three weeks Riley, you’ve seen my face, it’s on my display profile but yours are of a red rose. Are you a red rose? Because if you are, that’ll make things very tough”
RileyS – “You know the best part about talking to you is that I feel like I don’t have to hide my feelings or protect them. I find everything so soothing, like the calmness of the sea. It might seem as if I’m dodging the moment you see my face. Because once you see me, you’ll actually see a different side, a different girl. But this, right here is who I am. The one who jokes and makes you laugh. The one who listens to all the stories you have to tell. The one who hears you even if you are far away. Someday I hope you’ll know who I am and accept me the way I am.”
Sa$ha – “I know you Riley, and I accept you. You’ve brought me back to being normal and being happy again. I guess as much as I helped you, you’ve helped me back in return. There is no judging here. Nobody gets to judge you, you are your own independent person. ”
RileyS – “I am starting to like you even though I know I shouldn’t”
Sa$ha – “Now Where did that come from?”
RileyS – “My heart”

“How can I be so dumb?” Yuri whispered covering her face with her palms. She stared at the message she had sent Sasha.
“Why do I have to be so dumb?” She whispered again.
There was silence in the room, it wasn’t like anyone was going to answer her back. Why did she have to talk to Sasha pretending to be Riley? Why did she let Sasha flirt with her? Why was she getting so jealous of Belle?
“I like Sasha so much. So much that it’s hurting. What is wrong with me? I am her host, I can’t . . . she is me. It doesn’t make sense” Yuri murmured.
“Love never makes sense” Sasha’s soft voice spoke at the back of her mind.
“I like her, I like her, I like her” Yuri chanted slowly. There was nothing she could do about it. She could stop talking to Sasha as Riley but can she ever make Sasha leave so that she could move on from this huge crush? No.
“I have to tell her, I need to tell her, I can’t tell her” Yuri whispered again.
“Can’t tell her what?” A voice filled the silent room making Yuri jump.
“HOLY SHIT! You scared the hell out of me! JASON!” Yuri screamed throwing her pillow at his face.
“I just let myself in, I knocked too but you were too busy talking to yourself”
“There’s no privacy with you, is there?”
“Guilty as charged”
“Why are you here?” Yuri sat up on her bed facing Jason who came up and sat next to her.
“Why do you think? You’ve been ignoring me all week”
“I’m sorry, I have a lot going on” It was somewhat the truth but Yuri truly did ignore Jason, only to avoid his curious questions.
“But I must always be the exception” Jason complained. He was upset, Yuri could tell.
“I have something to tell you” Yuri managed to spill the words out from her dry lips. It was time to tell Jason about Sasha.
“I’m listening” Jason folded his arms.
Just then the door creaked open and Yuri’s mother stepped in, with an astonished look. Yuri didn’t quite understand the situation but Jason froze in his spot.
“Dinner’s ready Yuri, Oh hi Jason”
“Hi Mrs. Williams”
“I didn’t know you were up here, especially when the door is closed”
“Mom, there’s nothing going on here” Yuri tried to assure her doubtful mother.
“Jason, you must know that I trust you, but I do not like you taking advantage of that trust and being in my daughters room late at night with the door closed”
“Mrs. Williams. Nothing what so ever is going on here, we were just talking” Jason spoke honestly.
“Well how can you both assure me that?” Yuri’s mother crossed her arms as she stared at Yuri then at Jason.
“Because I’m gay”
“I’m a lesbian”
Both Jason and Yuri defended themselves as the worst possible way, one by lying and the other by telling the truth. Jason stares at Yuri with his eyes wide open by the shock of her reply. Yuri’s mother forces a smile.
“Nice try you both, now come on down”
Yuri and Jason both nod in unison. Just as Yuri’s mother left, Yuri punched Jason’s arms.
“Oww what was that for?”
“Why did you do that? Telling my mum you are gay?”
“Well if I don’t save your ass, who will?”
“I need to tell my mom” Yuri admitted. She needs to come out of the closet. If not now, she’d probably be stuck in it forever. Although it may surprise Sasha, maybe it was the only way to get Sasha to like her in the littlest way.
“Whoa! Really? Now?”
“Yes now, it’ll be nice to have you by my side when I do it”
“That’s the problem Yuri, I don’t think I can face your mom when you tell her you’re a lesbian, she’s going to think I turned you into one”
This made Yuri laugh.
“Aww you poor thing, even right now worried about yourself”
“Your mom gives me the death stare at times, Yuri. I can’t help it”
“Okay. Now if you don’t mind, I have to tell my mom that she should be scared if I brought girls into my room, not boys”
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
“Mum, I have to tell you something” Yuri spoke as soon as the three of them sat down at the dining table.
“I’m sure Yuri can wait until dinner is over, it’s not good to eat and talk Yuri” Justin said quickly. Yuri glared at Justin as he gulped.
“Oh god, you’re not pregnant, are you?” Mrs. Williams’s eyes grew wide as the words spat out from her mouth.
“No mum, I am not. You can calm down now” Yuri defended herself. Even being pregnant would make sense right now rather than finding out you are a lesbian then end up falling for your alter personality.
“Okay good” Mrs. Williams said exhaling a breath of relief.
The rest of the dinner was quiet. Nobody dared to utter a word.
“Actually I have something very important to tell you both” Mrs. Williams concluded putting her spoon down on the table, finishing her meal. She looked up at Yuri then at Justin.
“I’ve been hired by someone who happens to be a very powerful member of the political party. He wants me to be his personal defense lawyer. If this goes well, I can even take a long holiday off.”
“Mum, that’s amazing news” Yuri exploded.
“I know but here’s the thing. I have to fly to Paris tonight for one week ,leaving you alone here and I’m not sure I am comfortable with it, you know after everything that happened with your father” The intensity of the room grew by the mention of Yuri’s father.  But Yuri managed to shake it off.
“I’ll be fine” Yuri placed her hand on her mother’s shoulder.
“I’ll take care of her” Jason spoke.
“Thank you Jason, and by taking care of her, I mean not by being in the room with her late at night. I was a teenager once and I know what kind thoughts run in your minds”
“MOM!”
“Fine fine, are you sure, you’ll be alright on your own?”
“Yes mom, I’ll be fine” Yuri answered.
“Oh I almost forgot, you wanted to tell me something too” Mrs. Williams asked.
“Umm just that I am done with Jason, and we are nothing more than friends now. So you should stop worrying mom” Yuri answered. It wasn’t the time to tell her secret number one. Not yet.
“Maybe I should wait when she comes back” Yuri thought. Meanwhile she needed to sort out what was happening between her and Sasha.
Yuri had begun to regret pretending to be Riley. It was wrong and stupid, her actions has led her to feel things that was wrong and stupid. Not telling her best friend about what was going on, and pushing him away was also wrong and stupid. Lying to your alter personality by disguising as someone else is also wrong and stupid.
