A Love Triangle between One Person
“Look what I brought” Spending the afternoon with Jason wasn’t what I’d want but it seemed as if I’ve got no choice. It’s been a day and a half since Mrs. Williams left to Paris.
“What’d you bring?” I asked lazily, letting him inside.
“We’ve got popcorn, chips, skittles and The Fault in Our Stars” Jason said excitedly.
“The fault in whose star?” I asked.
“Please don’t tell me you have memory loss, cause I went through hell and back to rent these crystal clear DVD just to cheer you up”
“I remember, of course I remember. The fault in the stars” I muttered slowly. Great, now I have to watch movies with him. Jason stared at me for a while then continued arranging the couch and setting the TV. I noticed how cleanly he kept each snack in a bowl and poured the fizzy drinks next to it.
When the movie began, all I could think about was Riley. She hadn’t replied to my messages. I don’t even know what to say yet. I wish I could see her, maybe talk to her face to face. Maybe brush her blonde hair away from her face, lean forward and kiss her. Maybe touch her curvy body and whisper how long I’ve been waiting to do that. I could totally imagine how she’ll look like.
“The girl’s hot!” I hear Jason yell, totally interrupting my very inappropriate thoughts.
“Snap out of it” I warned myself.
I liked Riley too, and maybe I should tell her this as soon as possible. I don’t want to make the same mistake I made with Belle. Maybe things will work considering my situation with Yuri. Since Riley lives far away, there won’t be any issue with my switches. I was confident when it finally came down to Riley.
I stood up from the couch, making up my mind to send the big final message to Riley.
“Hey hey, the movie is not over yet. It just began!” Jason complained.
“Sorry Jason, I don’t want to watch anything right now” I told him truthfully.
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing”
“Lately you’ve been so bummed out about something. Tell me what’s bothering you; you gotta let me in, Yuri”
I sighed. I don’t really know how to bond with Jason. Since I wasn’t Yuri, I don’t even know what to tell him.
“I am fine, trust me” I sat back on the couch. I had a feeling convincing him was going to take a while.
“Look, if this is about you finding out that you’re a lesbian, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. You know I won’t judge you” Jason placed his hands on my very shaky hands.
“Lesbian?”
“I see you’re still getting used to that word. If it’s ‘hate’ that you’re worried about, you’re stupid. You’re Yuri Williams, no one will hate you, when everyone wants to be you. If you say you’re a lesbian to the world. The world would want to be a lesbian with you”
“I don’t know what to say” I murmured unbelievably.
“It takes guts to accept it, and guts to step out of the closet. Just know that I’ll be here when you tell everyone”
“I am telling everyone?”
“Yes, isn’t that the plan?”
“It’s just that I am still processing this. How long should I tell them I realized that I was a lesbian?”
“Well, I am assuming the day you sort of doubted yourself was at Jordan’s party. So maybe around that time?”
“That was a month ago”
“Yes exactly, you’ve known for a month now, you can tell them that”
“I can’t believe this!” I blurted out without thinking.
“Believe what?”
“Could you excuse me for a minute, Jason?”

“How could you not tell me?” I stood in front of the camera that was on record. Even though leaving Jason downstairs all by himself wasn’t the smartest move, I couldn’t keep it in anymore.
“I thought I was the closest to you, and you kept something this big hidden from me. I was scared too when I figured it out but I told you right away. If you thought that I’ll mock you, then you don’t know me at all Yuri. You know I would never hurt you, you know I’ll always support you. If this was hidden for a week or two, then I guess I’d understand but a month that just breaks my heart knowing you don’t trust me. I am not pissed; I am just upset at this point. I need an explanation”
With this I switched off the camera. I tried to inhale and adjust with this new situation which I didn’t expect coming. I guess I didn’t think there was even a possibility that Yuri could be a lesbian too.
Now what?
I returned back to the couch only to find Jason missing. “He must’ve left” I thought miserably.
It was inevitable that Jason would get upset given circumstances like this where his best/ex-girlfriend has an alter who is a lesbian learns that her host is a lesbian too and gets all worked up about it to which by the way he has no clue about. I wish I could explain everything to him but it was not my place. I had done my part when I had asked Yuri ages ago to tell Jason everything.
I locked the front door and made my way into the bedroom. I felt light headed and I knew Yuri was close. Good, she needs to watch my video update and know how upset I am. The night had passed and a new day had started. When I woke up I was aware that I wasn’t Yuri, I was still me. Next to my side of the bed was a yellow note that said.
“Hi :D”
At first I wasn’t sure what was happening. Heck, I even thought I was imagining things until I found the second yellow note that was stuck on the laptop screen.
“Why so serious?”
“That little . . .” Rascal, that was the word I wanted to say, was using my tricks on me. I freshened up and as I opened the door to go downstairs, there were yellow notes stuck on each stair.
One said. “I’m sorry for not telling you”
The other said “It’s not that I don’t trust you”
“I was afraid”
“What I had mocked at came back to bite me in the ass”
“That ought to make you smile”
“Good morning”
“Am I forgiven now?”
“If I am not then that’s okay, in a minute you will though”
I didn’t realize I was smiling throughout the notes. Yuri was clever and sweet. I just didn’t expect to know everything through Jason. They might’ve had sex together but I LIVE inside Yuri’s body which makes me literally closer to Yuri than Jason. So maybe, just maybe it was bound to upset me. But right now if I said I was still upset, I’d be lying.
When I entered the kitchen two things was confirmed. One, the breakfast was already made and Yuri is forgiven. There, on the kitchen counter laid the delicious beef lasagna which was still warm with fork and spoon on the side with a yellow note which said.
“I must really like you if I’m letting you eat beef”
Knowing that Yuri was a vegetarian, I had tried my best to stay away from meat. I respected her taste and right now she was respecting mine.
“Oh Yuri” I thought happily.

RileyS – “Hey, sorry I’ve been MIA this entire time. I just didn’t know how you’d take it. Anyways if its awkward for you, forget I said anything. How are you doing?”
Sa$ha – “I don’t want to forget what you said. In fact I want you to say it again if you can so I can give you a proper answer. By the way I just found out my best friend is a lesbian as well. So I am kind of thrilled and shocked. That’s how I’m doing."
RileyS- "Let’s talk about us later. Tell me about your best friend. What’s she like? How did she react? What if she starts liking you?"
Sa$ha – "Well she’s exactly like me but different in ways. I guess you can say, we are close. Her reaction is the one thing I still am not sure about. And don’t you worry Riley, there’s no way in hell my best friend will start liking me. If it makes you feel better, I can tell you all about her. But first I’ll have to take her permission for that”
I stared at what I had sent. I was going to tell Riley about Yuri. I knew I had to be honest, but not everyone is like Belle to accept me without even thinking twice when she learned the truth. I wish I could make Yuri be okay with this. I was finally starting to move on and I needed this to work.
*BLANK*
“What am I doing?” Yuri gasped staring at the screen of her laptop. She quickly logged out and deleted her history. This can’t be happening. She was falling for Sasha and even if it was impossible to wrap her mind about it, she still stood up for her feelings.
“Love makes sense” She remembered what Sasha had whispered to her.
“I have to tell her, it’s me. I have to tell her that I am Riley” Yuri murmured under her breath huskily.
