Waking up to know that you’ve kissed the girl of your dreams was the highlight of the day, but waking up to find out that the girl of your dreams has accepted your feelings, is the highlight of the month! Yuri couldn’t believe what she was watching; Sasha had finally admitted that she likes her in her own sort of way. She stared at the laptop screen while it replayed.
“I still think you’re crazy but right now you’re my crazy and I’m yours”
How beautiful is that sentence, Yuri could melt right away. As crazy as it seems, Yuri knew deep in heart that she and Sasha could make it work somehow. This was actually happening! Yuri felt her cheeks blush, it had been a while since she had last dated. And her last date happened to be a boy. Yuri found herself wonder how this might turn out? It usually isn’t an issue but her situation was different. She had her lover living inside her body, so it wasn’t like she could go over to Sasha’s house and make out. Complications were there but together they’ll face them, won’t they?
Yuri cleared her worries and picked up her phone. Her phone was filled with texts, from Jason and . . . Belle? Her confusion was inevitable but she didn’t think about it too much. Apparently they were concerned about her health. But Yuri was fine, in fact she was doing great and for the first time in a long time, Yuri felt that everything in her life was perfect.
Today is an important day, Yuri reminded herself. She waited downstairs and stared at the clock. The house was silent, and she was alone. But she didn’t feel upset or lonely; she knew she’ll always have Sasha right beside her. Having Sasha in her life was a miracle that Yuri couldn’t comprehend. Maybe this was the reason Sasha existed in the first place, so that Yuri could find truelove. Everything was in Yuri’s favor and it made her more anxious than happy. Nothing stays this good for long, eventually something always . . . changes.
The doorbell rang; Yuri immediately stood up on her feet and ran towards the door to answer it. After the talk about the vacation, Mrs. Williams wasn’t still able to keep up the end of her vacation promise. And this time Yuri wanted to face her very inattentive mom and just tell her to give it a break. But Yuri opened the door to face Jason.
“What are you doing here?” Yuri crossed her arms as she let him in. After panting for a while Jason managed to answer.
“I had to make sure you were okay” His deep breaths continued while he grabs a water bottle out of Yuri’s fridge and gulps half of the bottle down.
“So you ran here?” Yuri was puzzled.
“Well, yeah I’m practically your caretaker” Jason replied quickly after giving her a small hug. He was being extra sweet today, Yuri wondered why.
“Well you don’t have to be my caretaker anymore, because that job is permanently given to Sasha” Yuri hinted as she smiled brightly. Jason grinned back sitting next to her on the couch. There wasn’t any surprise on his face, but he looked calm.
“So Sasha finally gave in?” He asked stroking Yuri’s hair slowly.
“She confessed.”
“What are you doing to do? All of a sudden Jason started being  . . . Jason.
“What do you think? I am going to date her”
“For real?” He sounded astonished still trying to wrap his mind around it but he didn’t discourage it either. Yuri stared at him for a while, frowning.
“Jason, you’re doing that thing again”
“No, actually I’m not. I’m very happy for you. Anything that makes you happy makes me happy” Jason replied quietly. Yuri leaned in and gave him a cheek kiss. It was her way of showing Jason her appreciation.
“Well then it’ll really make me happy if you stay next to me while I tell mom about the whole turning into a lesbian thing”
“Sure love” Jason agreed quickly. It was truly going to be a tough situation but Yuri knew she was ready to tell the world about her sexuality. She was sure, but the thought of having Jason on board with it was overwhelming.
“You’re acting weird’
“Am I? How so?”
“You’re being so nice. Did Sasha put you up to this?” If Yuri knew Sasha at all, she’d know by now how Sasha always advices others in order to protect Yuri. If this was Sasha’s work, Yuri was already impressed.
“No, I just realized what a dick I was to you before when all what I really want for you is to be happy” Jason’s reply makes Yuri’s heart sink a bit. She wrapped her arms around Jason and hugged him tightly. He was the one true friend she had, and the only one she trusts besides Sasha. How lucky was she to have someone like Jason by her side? Her eyes became teary with the overwhelming happiness.
“Your flirty remarks won’t work on me anymore Jason Haynes” Yuri blurts out to brighten up the mood.
“I’m not flirting with you, Yuri” Jason chuckled. “I already have a crush on someone, remember?”
“Vicky Styles, I remember. When can I meet her?”
“That depends. Anyways since today is going to be your official coming out of the closet day, I was thinking we should take a picture together”
“Like a selfie?” Yuri laughed as Jason pulled out his Iphone and started taking pictures of her. He smiled as she laughed some more. Yuri couldn’t ask for anything more than what she has right now.
“Yes, I just realized we never took pictures together”
“You’re acting so weird today Jason”
“Yes, but then again I don’t have to act weird because I’m already weird”
“Good point”

If there is another word for the worst kind of awkward situations, what would it be called? KillMeNow situation? DigMyGrave situation? Or MakeMeInvisible situation? Maybe all three could apply to this situation right here.
“Err Mom. . . I have to tell you something” Yuri looks straight in her mom’s eyes as she sits down next to her with Jason. Mrs. Williams stared back at her with curiosity covering her face. It took a while, but before Yuri could say more, Mrs. Williams yelled.
“Oh god, you both . . . oh my god Yuri, are you pregnant? You’re pregnant aren’t you?!”
“Whoa whoa Mrs. Williams. Yuri isn’t pregnant. And FYI I always use protection” Yuri rolled her eyes at his comment. Did he really have to say that?
“Mom, actually I –“ Yuri hesitated but Sasha’s voice encouraged her. “It’s okay, she won’t bite. Tell her”
“Mom, I like girls”
“Oh.”
“But bu-t I’ve seen you with Jason and you both . . .” She pointed her finger towards Jason and then back to Yuri, still in a very mild confusion.
“I didn’t know that I was until very recently” Yuri confessed the truth. It was out in the open, and that makes everything easier.
“Oh.”
“Mom, please say something else than ‘Oh’”
“Hold on honey, I’m processing” Mrs. Williams leaned back on the couch. “So you two aren’t together?”
“No, we’re not. Jason is my best friend. He’s the one who helped me realize that I was a . . . you know” Yuri tried to explain.
“Lesbian. Say it with some pride, Yuri” Sasha’s voice echoes.
“I am a lesbian, mom.” Yuri concluded. She stared at her mom who looked as if she had seen a ghost. Of course she was expecting her only daughter to suddenly start liking girls especially after doubting Yuri, for hanging out so much with Jason lately.
“Oh”
“MOM!” Yuri yelled out this time unable to handle all the ‘OH’s from her mom. This was getting depressing by the minute.
“Haha that was a joke, come on give me a hug. I don’t care who you like, as long as I know you are still you” Mrs. Williams spread out her arms and hugged her daughter . It was an emotional moment for Yuri, because despite all those absence Mrs. Williams had not only made up for it, but she had made Yuri forget all her past worries.
“Oh mom, thank you so much” It was a relief that Mrs. Williams had accepted her. But will the rest of the world?
“Good thing Jason hadn’t knocked you up, I was about to throw a tantrum” Mrs. Williams stared at Jason who was now feeling rather uncomfortable.
“Yay Jason” Jason says slowly making Yuri laugh out loudly. So that was done, Mrs. Williams knew and she was completely fine with it. Yuri welcomed Jason into her room finally without having her mom glare at them.
“I am officially a lesbian” Yuri announces to her pink room after jumping down on her bed. It felt so right to finally say it out loud.
“What if this reaches school?”
“Then let it reach out to the world. I am lesbian and there’s no stopping that”
