When I heard about it, all I could think was what a complete idiot Leander was.

The guy absolutely drunk.He was staring at me like some obsessed stalker while gripping my arm way too hard.

"I'm nothing without you, okay? You're supposed to be my wife—come back and we'll figure this out together. I can turn this whole thing around!"
I ripped my arm free and kept my voice level. "Leander, we're done. You canned me and dumped me, remember that?"
He started bawling like a little kid.
"I know I screwed everything up. Just give me one more chance—please?"
I wasn't about to get sucked back into his mess. Just said "Hell no" and started walking away.
