Hunter shoved Alice hard.
"Ahhhh!"
She screamed as she stumbled backward, losing her balance and crashing to the ground in a heap, her perfect hair completely destroyed.
She looked stunned, staring up at Hunter in complete disbelief.
"This is all because of you! If you hadn't been whining and bitching about getting your little princess into this fancy-ass preschool! If you weren't such a status-obsessed bitch trying to one-up everyone else! How the fuck did everything go to hell like this?"
Hunter pointed at Alice on the ground, throwing her completely under the bus, his voice dripping with venom: "I was gonna turn it down! This whole fucking disaster is on you!"
Alice on the ground was absolutely livid at his shameless betrayal.
She scrambled to her feet, not giving a damn about how she looked, and went after Hunter like crazy.
"Blame ME? Hunter Steven, you heartless piece of shit!"
She was shrieking so loud her voice cracked: "You've got some fucking nerve blaming me! Who was the one bragging about how easy it would be to get this spot? Who said 'don't worry, I got this handled'? You never said jack shit about stealing it from your wife's kid!"
"You lied to me! You've been lying to me this whole fucking time! You're a liar! A fucking mooch! A worthless piece of trash!"
She was crying and screaming while clawing at Hunter's suit and hair:
"Hunter Steven! I never let you pull your daughter out of school? How was I supposed to know my daughter was stealing your real daughter's spot?"
"Get the fuck off me! You crazy bitch! This whole mess is because of you!"
Hunter completely lost it too: "If you hadn't been so desperate to get your brat into this place, would I have done something this stupid? All you do is blow money and cause problems! What the hell else are you good for?"
The two of them went at each other, screaming and fighting in front of everyone, not caring how they looked.
The whole scene was absolutely disgusting, with everyone around us booing and talking shit.
I watched this revolting shitshow coldly, feeling nothing but exhaustion and disgust.
The happy family I thought I had was nothing but an elaborate con job and a complete farce.
"Flora, we're leaving." I said quietly to my daughter.
Without looking back at those two pieces of trash tearing each other apart, I took my daughter's hand and walked away.
This whole mess blew up all over with videos, photos, and stories spreading like wildfire.
People online tracked down every detail of what really happened.
Hunter and his fake Mrs. Steven became public enemies, getting absolutely destroyed in the comments.
Even that teacher Julia who treated me like a kidnapper and stirred up all that shit got doxxed by angry users. Word was she had to quit because of all the backlash.
I couldn't care less about any of that drama.
All my energy was focused on my daughter Flora.
Looking at those horrible marks on her little arms broke my heart into pieces.
I took extended time off work to get her the best doctors and therapy.
At night, we'd curl up together in bed while I gently stroked her hair.
"Flora, Mommy's so sorry I didn't protect you better."
Flora shook her head, pressing her little face against my arm: "Mommy, I don't want to see Daddy ever again."
"Okay. From now on, it's just us two. Mommy's going to kick him out and never let him come back."
My daughter nodded firmly in my arms.
