Shattered - Chapter 10: Chapter 10

I have no idea why but that is unacceptable. Quickly rushing up to Leo, "Leo! Stop it, you don't hit other people." I turn to the man who's just smirking, "I am so sorry for my son's behaviour, he's normally doesn't act like this..."
"It's okay, he seems like nice little fella." The man said, he seemed really weird, "right bud?"
"No!" Leo screams.
"Hey hey hey, Leo apologize." He seemed very weird but Leo should still treat him respect. Leo just stood there while crossing his arms. "Okay, go sit on the bench I'll be there in a few seconds, no buts." He tried to argue.
"Your son seems very interesting..." the man says.
I huff, "I'm sorry about my son, I have no idea why my son is acting like that. I'm sorry..."
"Jack, well my names Jack."
Before I could respond, out of nowhere his little dog ran around me tangling me in his leash, I believe the dog was a cocker spaniel. The man laughs, "sorry." He comes towards me to untangle me, reaching around me which was so uncomfortable.
We were standing just inches away from each other, "well I think I should go back to my son."
"I understand, I'll see you around," he says and I just nod back.
I turned around and felt someone grab my ass, quickly turning because it was out of the ordinary. Looking at the man confused, "there was lint." He says like it's the most casual thing to do and that was invading my personal bubble. Okay, that was really weird... I walked back over to Leo quickly telling him to grab his stuff and to leave.
"Mommy, do we have to leave?" He begs.
"We are going to go on a walk instead and we can come back another day okay?"
Nathan walks back to us, "can we leave?" I ask, not wanting to stay here any longer. That guy really ruined my day and made me feel scared of his approach and he does not make me feel comfortable. This eery feeling was radiating off of him.
"Okay," Nathan says not asking questions, Leo starts walking ahead of us instead of walking with us. He always likes running ahead then running back to us continuously. I'm not complaining, it's one way to ware out his energy.
"Mommy can we just walk around then? I don't want to go home."
"Okay, don't run too far though."
"I know mommy."
I take Nathan's hand in mine, while we walk I was so deep in thought that I didn't even hear him calling out to me. "Hello? Alina? Are you listening?"
Snapping me out of my thought, "hm? What?"
"I've been talking to you for a few minutes and you seem kind of out of it. Are you okay? Is something wrong?"
"Sorry, it's just something that happened at the park that really disturbed me."
"Tell me about it," he brings his arm over my shoulders pulling me close to him.
"Leo was yelling at this man, he didn't apologize so I send him to the bench to sit and wait while I apologized for him. Something about him made me feel uncomfortable," I huff then continued, "and then when I turned around he just grabbed my ass..."
"He what?" Nathan asks quickly sounding mad. He clenches his fist tightly to the point where his knuckles were white. "Who the fuck did that?" He stops walking and turns me to face him.
"Nathan, please don't do anything, let's just keep going and forget about it okay?"
"What the fuck do you mean forget about it? He's touching my beautiful wife."
A tear trickled down my face, "can we please just go? I just want to spend some time with you and my son before you have to go." I am one to not be able to deal with this kind of stuff well, it just scared the shit out of me and I just become a statue. I know that Nathan knows this very well, whenever I got cat called or anything, my whole demeanour would change.
He simply agreed, we continued walking on the sidewalk watching Leo. "Hey, Leo, why were you yelling at that man?" I ask curiously because he never told me.
"He said a bad word mommy and he was talking about you."
"What did he say?" Nathan asks rapidly, he wanted to grasp onto any information he could of.
"I don't want to say it daddy, I'm going to get in trouble. Mommy said I can't says I'm not allowed to say it."
"It's okay, just this once okay bud?" Nathan tries to convince him and it works which shocks me.
"The man said that he wanted mommy to be his and that he would-" he looked around him. His innocence is so cute, he continued. "He said he would fuck mommy because she's so hot and sexy."
My eyes go wide and I can already predict how Nathan is going to react. He quickly tells Leo to keep running and playing, to leave me and him to talk. "Who the hell swear in front of a five year old and tells them that they would fuck their mom?"
"What the hell is that guy thinking?" I rub my head, I'm starting to get a headache from this.
"I don't want you near that guy Alina."
"You don't need to remind me, I already know and feel horrible after what happened..."
"I'm sorry baby, but if he shows up again I want you to call me right away okay?"
"I will," I tell him, "are you staying for dinner?"
"Yeah, I'm going to stay and tuck Leo in and then I'll leave. I don't want you to worry about that man okay? I'll call someone to look into it for me."
I nod and we decide to go back home so I can start on dinner. As requested, Leo would like to make homemade pizza. I don't mind, sometimes it's just time consuming.
We got home to begin making pizza, I taught Nathan how to do it, Leo and him decided to make one together while I quickly made mine in case if we needed a backup. The door bell rang, "I'll get it, after you put the sauce on you guys can put toppings on."
Rinsing my hands quickly, I rushed to the door to answer it. When I opened the door, it was so weird. It was only Leo's sweater that he forgot at the park left on the front porch. I step out to the front porch grabbing it and looked around the street but no one was around here at all. My street was empty.
Going back in, placing his sweater on the shelf, I make my way back to the kitchen after locking the door. The sight of them together made my heart melt, it was the most adorable thing that was happening and will occur more frequently.
"Who was at the door?" Nathan asks.
"Nobody was at the door, somebody just returned Leo's sweater that he left at the park."
"My sweater mommy?"
"Yes, your sweater that you were wearing baby. Anyways how about we finish up and I'll put the pizza's in the oven?"
"Okay!" He exclaims.
After dinner, me and Nathan put Leo to bed. He was grabbing his stuff to leave, "I'll come to your place this weekend if that's okay with you instead of you coming here."
"Yeah, sounds good. Just text me before you leave, you've got my number and I think that's all."
"I'll keep in touch," I say and he brings his lips to mine.
Kissing me softly, "love you Alina."
"Sure you do," I say jokingly, "drive home safely."
After our last goodbye he gets into the car then drives off. Till next weekend.
