Nathan snarls at Luc who I didn't notice was standing on the sidewalk where we stood waiting as well, he probably has just pulled up and I totally forgot to tell my husband about him. It's just been a great day and it slipped my mind to inform him on what I found out not too long ago, this couldn't end well.
I assume that it has been a long time since they've encountered each other after the past events, with all the anger build up from Nathan, the outcome was going to be unpredictable. Too many possibilities to even considered with the two of them, this can't be good, I have to do something to dial everything down to not create a scene in front of a bunch of kids.
"It's been a long time Nathan..." Luc says calmly seemingly not wanting any trouble.
"You fucking asshole," he snaps slipping out from behind me towards Luc's direction rearing his arm back to punch him and before I was able to intercept his action, he landed his fist on Luc.
"Nathan!" I screamed horrified, parents were now showing up to wait to pick their child's up from the school. "Stop it, there will be children who will be walking out to their parents any minute." I whisper to him harshly not trying to drawl attention.
"How are you okay with this?" Nathan's brows furrowed at me in confusion with disgust on his face. "He ruined everything!"
"Calm down," I grab onto his two arms trying to make him focus on me instead of thinking of the ways as to how to kill Luc.
"Why is he here?" Slowly he was calming down, Luc left us alone turning away to give us privacy.
"His daughter goes to this school," I tell him quickly, "I didn't find out till this week as well, he apologized to me but I'm still not forgetting what he did. I am just civilized with him," maybe he could see from my perspective.
"Him and Sarah ruined us, you want to forgive him?" He looked bewildered shaking my hands off him.
I sigh, "I know what he did was wrong, I'm still holding a grudge against him, but Nathan, I'm tired. I don't want to fight, I don't want to constantly be angry, at people. It's been five years, if my parents wanted to apologize and fix things, do you think I would ignore them if they apologized? I would be angry, but their apology would still be accepted and appreciated."
"Out of the both of us, you're okay with this? You're out of your mind Alina." He tells me quietly.
"So I am out of my mind for forgiving you as well?" I try to make a point.
"That's different."
"How? You are to fault just as well as he is, yes, the both of you played two different roles but it lead us to the same outcome. We both separated, but we got back together." I cup his cheek with my hand gently directing him to meet my eyes, "we all matured, we all grew and you and me are on the path to being our best in our new relationship. Look, we both are trusting each other, we aren't going to be assuming things anymore."
He lets out a deep breath speaking through gritted teeth, "fine. Doesn't mean I want to be good friends with him, I don't want you to be left alone with him or anything." He states one condition for me.
"I know, don't worry, just try and lighten up since his daughter is best friends with our son." I let the information slip out casually.
"His daughter? What? When?" His eyes go wide.
"Amelia... maybe Luc can tell you all about what happened after you guys didn't talk. He told me a lot..." I let out a stiff smile, "Leo wants to have a play date with his friends and well... the parents will be coming over as well if I want to be reassured that they are good people that I can leave Leo with for his own play dates."
"Are you kidding me?" He groans like a child.
"Please, do it for Leo." I beg.
"Okay, okay! I better not be alone with Luc, if not I will rip his head off. His presence disturbs me." At least we were getting somewhere about this topic.
The bell rings letting us know the children are coming out to their parents, I kept an eye out for Leo while Nathan had his eye somewhere else, well on someone.
"Daddy!" Leo screamed when seeing his dad making Nathan turn to him and smile, bending down with open arms welcoming our son. Picking him up in his arms, hugging tightly as if he were leaving somewhere.
"No mommy?" I joke with him taking his backpack from him.
"You're right there," he giggles, this kid and his jokes.
"Thanks bud, I meant no hugs for me." I explain to him more clearly not sure if he understood my indirecte joke.
"You have my kisses, and my hugs, daddy only gets one hug." He points to Nathan when speaking.
"Yeah daddy," my eyebrows raise as my eyes look at him in a joking manner.
"That is not fair," Nathan pouts, "why does mommy get unlimited hugs and kisses?"
"Because if not mommy gets angry at me," his laugh reverberates around causing Nathan to laugh with him as well.
"I do not get angry, you little liar," I ruffle his hair with my hand.
"Bye Leo! See you tomorrow!" A little girl voice says from behind us.
We turn around to see the little girl who plays with Leo all the time, "wait! Amelia!" He squirms out of Nathan's arms to be put on the ground and runs up to her as Luc comes into sight with a princess backpack hanging on his left arm.
Nathan keeps his eyes on Luc being civilized in front of our children, "don't forget to bring your tiger!" Amelia's sweet voice says loud and clear as Leo runs back to us after his small conversation with her.
"I know!" He yells.
"What tiger?" I smirk curiously at him.
"My toy mommy, I'm bringing my small rhinoceros tomorrow and Kyle and Johnathan are bringing their animal toys too." He holds my hand as we all walk to the car.
"Daddy, are you going to be there tomorrow?" He asks.
"Yes I will, I'll be at home with your mom tomorrow." The news makes Leo happy. "You'll also have a surprise when we come to pick you up from school."
"A surprise?" The word 'surprise' peaked his interest. "What is it?"
I smirk at Nathan remembering that I doubt he'll be able to keep this from me, "I don't know Leo, ask your daddy, it's not me who planned this."
Nathan chuckles, "what do you both not get about a surprise? It's called a 'surprise' for a reason."
"I don't want to wait!" Leo complains.
"You have to, but I promise you it will be the best surprise ever!" The silent lack of information was either going to cause Leo or me to bang our heads into the wall. Surprises were never really my favourite, for others to surprise me with something in particular, ah, yeah, no. If I were to surprise someone then it would be fine, since I don't need to anticipate what is to come or anything of that sorts. "You'll be seeing your aunt Catherine and uncle Vincent tomorrow, they'll be coming over for dinner."
"Auntie Catherine? With donuts?" Leo's eyes gleamed with hope.
"Nice try bud, no donuts. What do you guys want for dinner? I don't know what to make." I ask them.
"Can we get McDonald's?" Of course Leo asks that, this boy would live off of fast foods if it wasn't for me to tell him to eat nutritious foods.
"No fast foods, you eat that every weekend, why not try something else?"
"We should eat tacos." Nathan says without any context following along with it.
He just gave me an idea, "I can make this chicken and zucchini in the skillet, and you guys could eat it in taco shells or by itself."
"I don't want that mommy, I don't like zucchini." Leo whines.
"Do you even know what zucchini is?" I'm not even sure if he recognizes which one the zucchini.
"You told me it's the fake cucumber." Well, yes, I told him that because he thought they were the same.
"What are you talking about? You didn't even taste it last time, I cut it up so small that you couldn't even tell." It was obvious that I was avoiding his remark on zucchini.
Sometimes it surprises me how much he actually knows, he is so observant... Leo is a quick learner and he is a pretty mature young child. With just me and him, from time to time he forgot how to be a kid. When having a kid with a mature personality type it makes you wish that they would be more relaxed and have fun without constantly worrying. There are a foundation of rules that are set, but when I was his age it was like rules didn't matter. Some rules, my correction needed to be clear.
He was the child example that any parent would admire from a distance wondering how he had such good manners, when in reality I would watch him wanting him to break just one rule. Yes, he cut off somebody's hair in the past but it was only one thing. The rules set a boundary for Leo which I didn't even understand myself, he gets so scared when I scold him. Before Nathan was with us, he used to cry whenever I scold him or was trying to teach him something for no reason. It was probably the mean kids at school who most likely created an impact on his emotions.
At least now he is changing a little bit with us, being more goofy with a good sense of humour. It's sad that he is growing up so fast already and I haven't even told Nathan that I just— might not want anymore kids. In the past we have always talked about having a bunch of kids since he grew up in a big family and I had a small family. They were kind of nonexistent as well. I was considering tubal ligation in spite of the fact that I was still young. It's just my mentality who keeps thinking that my next pregnancy would be the same scary road as my last, that is if I choose to have another child...
We pulled into the driveway, walking into the house to be greeted by one of the maids that was carrying a watering bucket. She gave us a friendly smile then walked past us to go outdoors with it, the flowers were starting to bloom and our yard was beautiful.
"I'm going to make dinner, I'll call you guys when it's done. Leo, you should go play outside. It's such a nice day and I think the pool would be fun."
"How does that sound bud?" Nathan asks to hear how he thinks about that suggested plan, "we could eat dinner outside too?" He adds.
"Daddy, will you come play with me too?" Instead of giving us a directe answer he gives us an indirecte response and ask a question in place of it.
The playful smirk that Nathan has on his face means he's up to something, his eyes look at me then back to Leo. "I'm going to beat you there!" He fools around with him then runs past the both of us.
Leo starts sprinting after him to change as quickly as possible, "oh my boys..." I laugh.
There were already all the ingredients that are needed for the dish in the fridge, while I got to work on dinner, Nathan and Leo both went to the pool. Leo had beaten his dad to the pool, what he didn't know is that when he wasn't looking his dad sprayed him with the water gun. It was nice having a window in the kitchen that showed the backyard, when cooking I was able to see what they were up to.
The food smelt delicious, in there taco shells ready to be eaten. Bringing them outside the two of them were already wrapped in their towels, "dinner's ready." I take a seat at the glass outdoor table.
Our son walked over to me wanting to sit on my lap as he leaned over the table to eat with his tiny hands grabbing the tacos made for them. It was a different kind of dish that I hoped they liked, "mhmm." Nathan hums, "this is so good Alina," he compliments my cooking.
"I like the cheese mommy."
I watched them eat while I just sat back and relaxed a little bit, after seeing the pool it didn't occur to me that it could trigger some flashbacks from of that night. Our fight. It made me lose my appetite and my anxiety picked up on the scenery, my hands gripped the two arm rests of the chair. I was holding on for dear life thinking something would happen if I let go, "you okay babe?"
I sit up straight smiling playing it off, probably just because it's the first time being around this area again. "Yep, I'm alright." Hopefully he couldn't see right through me, thankfully he didn't judge anything. "I'm going to get you guys a drink, I'll be right back." Picking up Leo and setting him on the chair beside the one we were sitting on.
When turning away from them to go into the house I wasn't able to keep my smiling face on for long, soon I was gasping for air inside the house trying to teach myself how to breath. I gripped onto the counter so hard my knuckles turned white and the palms of my hand started sweating.
It's a damn fucking pool, this shouldn't affect me. Rubbing my temples and my teary eyes cleared my vision, I'm going insane, I'm trying to pull through.
This is not the time where I should breakdown, it seems like it never ends and Leo does not need this in his life.
Pushing my feelings aside, I grabbed some cups and brought out a pitcher and poured some fruit punch into it for all of us. Before heading outside I got some of medication for my headache that decided to make an appearance after just seeing my pool.
How could something so minor create such a huge problem?
We spend the night laughing and talking to each other, especially Leo, he was talkative today telling us about how they were planning on playing with animal figurines tomorrow at school.
When bedtime rolled around, he was out like a light. The sun and the swimming must of tired him out, kissing the top of his head and slipping my hand out of his, me and Nathan walked back to our room.
"Now, let's go have our time alone in our room."
"I want to relax in the bath, it's waiting for me." Rejecting his offer made him think.
"Who says we can't take a bath together?"
"Me, the bath isn't big." I smile to myself out of his sight grabbing my pyjamas and undergarments.
Knowing that that information was false he has to insist, "you know that's not true, that bath is big enough to fit three or four people if we really tried. Can I take a bath with you?"
"Yes you can, now go turn on the water."
After gathering my stuff and making the bed, when going back into the bathroom there were candles that were lit. The room was dim with only one window which was closed by the blinds and he was already sitting in the tub, his undergarment that he chose was already on the counter for when he came out. Placing my items on my side of the counter, I started to remove every piece of clothing from my body.
Slowly and seductively was the best combination to turn him on, his eyes were glued to me. The wait was displeasing as he watched anxious to get his hands on me, when my clothes were discarded from my body. It left me in the dark green lingerie that I knew he loved, while making him wait it gave me time to change some stuff.
His stare on me darken once he caught site of the fabric, instead of getting it ruined I removed it, the modelling of it was just to excite him.
"Fuck," he muttered when everything was removed and I started moving closer to the tub then finally stepping in. He stared up at me in awe as I sat down kissing his lips harshly, his hands grabbed my ass and his other hand went to my breast as he massaged it roughly. His arousal was clear as his length began to erect from the foreplay. Then straddling him he groaned in pleasure from me just rubbing my vulva against his penis.
Nathan was enjoying himself as he kissed my breast and took ahold of my nipple in his mouth turning them into hypersensitive tips. The movement of his tongue and the rubbing combined were driving us into desperation of each other, without telling me he slipped his fingers in me starting to thrust them in and out as I leaned back slightly giving him a clear path. He was preparing me for his big shaft that was throbbing for me to be around him very soon, with just me in his sight turned him on within seconds.
His fingers were slipping in and out of me sending me into a moaning mess while I tried to not scream from the pleasure, he could make me come so easily. All of a sudden his hand was gone from inside of me, "I want to be inside of you when you come." He smiles at me.
I adjust myself until he puts the tips of his shaft at my entrance looking me straight in the eyes, "I'm ready." I verbally tell him like I always do.
I lower myself on him moan softly in pleasure and hunching over him. Moving slowly with the feeling of enjoyment running through the both of us, the water was keeping us warm as it swished around the tub. Nathan fit me perfectly, as I moved along him he kissed and sucked tenderly on my neck in delight. Right as I was about to move fast he grabbed my hips and took over himself, flipping me on my back leaning me onto him. He started to plunge himself into me after the change of positions. I was a morning mess as he played with my breasts that were close and exposed the the air. The bathtub wasn't filled to high with the water, the perfect amount so it wouldn't splash out.
He kept thrusting hard into me sending the two of us into this feeling of overwhelming pleasurable ecstasy until my interior muscles clenched around him and we both came undone within each other. We both moaned loudly, when regulating our breathing he gently slipped his arm around me as I was still wrapped around him.
"Well this was a nice bath..."
I chuckle, "not the bath I was thinking about, I have to shower I say slowly moving up to stand as I slipped out from him his liquid started to run down my leg. He had filled me up with all of his fluids. Nathan looked at his dripping fluids in between my legs smiling at what he did.
"We should rinse off in the shower together," he tells me.
"I guess," I drain the tub then joined him in the shower.
The two of us made love in the shower again and on the counter of our bathroom, until we both finished and decided to head to bed. Both of us changing into our undergarments, somehow Nathan managed to convince me not to sleep in clothes and only my underwear. I told him that I was worried Leo would walk in on us or something, but he pointed out that we always wake up before him.
He was already in bed after our last sex session as I brushed my hair. "Alina your phone is ringing," he calls through from the room.
"Coming!" I say back.
He hands me my phone, this unknown caller appeared on the screen, picking up the phone a voice rang out. "Hello? Is this Alina?"
I gaped at the sound of the voice.
