As an elite hacker, Matthew was familiar with this type of email account. He walked over to his desk, opened his laptop, and logged into Samuel's email. "What's his password?"
Once given the password, Matthew swiftly got to work, his fingers pounding the keys. Within moments, he provided Louis with an address and instructed, "Send someone to Aeloria immediately. Find the hacker who sent the email and get the mastermind's name."
"Yes." Louis gave a brisk nod and left swiftly.
Matthew then put on a pair of gloves and stepped into the secret room. He grabbed Archie by the arm and dragged him out of the pool.
Drained of energy, Archie was too weak to resist. "Matthew, not so rough, my arm is about to break... I've already confessed, haven't I? Don't be so cruel to me..." he murmured, groaning in pain.
Without a word, Matthew hauled him out of the secret room and yanked him onto the sofa. "Get dressed. You're leaving."
"R-really? I can leave?" Archie asked, his eyes widening with hope.
"You have five minutes," Matthew uttered coldly.
Archie dared not speak further. He grabbed a towel and shakily wiped himself off with his stiff, aching hands. He then picked up his clothes, socks, and shoes from the sofa and slowly dressed himself, having no choice but to leave his wet underwear on. His injuries left him so sore that it took him seven minutes to put on his clothes.
Nervously, he sat on the sofa, clutching his head, afraid that Matthew would beat him up again.
"Drink the glass of water on the table," Matthew said flatly.
Archie eyed the clear liquid with dread, his lips quivering as he asked, "It's not poisoned, is it?"
"I'll give you ten seconds," Matthew said tersely.
Archie frantically grabbed the glass and drank it in one gulp, coughing violently.
Matthew looked at him with a chilling calm. "Since it's your first offense, I'll let you live this time. But there will be no second chances." His tone turned even colder. "I know you're stupid, so here's a final piece of advice. Watch your mouth, or it will get you into trouble."
Archie's face turned pale at the warning. He was about to promise Matthew that he would never cross him again when a wave of dizziness hit him, and within seconds, he blacked out.
Archie had no idea how much time had passed when the sound of his phone ringing woke him. Groggily, he opened his eyes and realized that the sky had grown dark. Taking in his surroundings, he was hit with a sudden jolt, his haze clearing instantly.
'Where the hell am I?' Archie wondered, his mouth agape. He was no longer in the secret room but out in the countryside—inside his car, with no one else around.
In other words, Matthew had abducted him from the city center and dumped him in the countryside. Archie couldn't believe the nerve Matthew had to do something so extreme.
As the phone continued to ring incessantly, Archie grabbed it and saw an unfamiliar number. "Hello?" he answered irritably.
"Archie, you finally picked up!" His mother's voice was choked with emotion. "Where are you? I couldn't reach you all day. I was so worried."
Tears welled up in Archie's eyes when he heard his mother's voice, and he began to pour out his grievances as he bawled. "Mom, you have no idea what I went through today..." His voice trailed off as he suddenly remembered Matthew's warning. Archie shuddered as the menacing words echoed in his mind.
"Archie, why aren't you saying anything?" his mother asked with concern. "Tell me where you are. I'll send someone to pick you up."
"I'm fine," Archie said, changing his tone. "I had a fight with my girlfriend and broke up with her. I'm going to another girl's place for some comfort, so I won't be coming home tonight."
After he hung up, he opened his contact list to call someone to take him to the hospital. However, the list was completely empty.
Archie was dumbfounded, thinking, 'Did Matthew delete all my contacts and call records?' He opened iMessage, only to find that all his chats and contacts had been deleted. In fact, all the apps on his phone had been uninstalled. He had no way to contact anyone.
Banging his head against the steering wheel, Archie sobbed uncontrollably, crying out in despair, "Matthew, how could you do this to me? I hate you! I hate you more than anyone in the world..."
