The camera focused on Matthew, who stretched out his long legs and got out of the car unhurriedly. He turned around to pick up the person in the car.
The commentator exclaimed, "Many people say that a bald head is the best tool to test a person's looks. I agree with this saying. Many celebrities look beautiful, but once they shave their heads, the flaws on their faces are all exposed. However, Mr. Graham looks great under a high-definition camera even without hair. Unfortunately, he refused to enter the entertainment industry." He said a string of praises for Matthew.
Then, the good show began.
A woman in a wheelchair appeared at the door of the car.
Matthew carried the woman out of the car with both hands. The nurse in the car then came out with a wheelchair.
After the wheelchair was placed properly, Matthew carefully placed the woman back into the wheelchair.
The close-up shot was aimed at the woman's face.
Everyone exclaimed, "Lucy? It's really Lucy."
"Five years have passed, but she hasn't aged at all. She even looks younger. How did she do it?" someone said.
"Look at the scar on her head. She must have had a craniotomy. It looks pretty bad," another person said.
Matthew stood behind his sister and pushed her wheelchair forward.
Everyone automatically made room.
Lucy smiled and waved at everyone.
Flashbulbs and shutter clicks flashed crazily, illuminating the area.
Under such light, the siblings' bald heads were especially conspicuous.
Athena suddenly remembered that in the photos she found, Lucy not only had beautiful hair, but he also paid a lot of attention to his image. Matthew must have shaved his hair to support his sister's struggle against the illness.
Under everyone's gaze, the siblings stepped into the press conference hall.
There were seats arranged in the hall. Those who had already sat down stood up one after another and looked at the siblings as they whispered.
On the stage, people of the Graham family also stood up in shock.
After Lucy was pushed onto the stage, Nicolas took a few steps forward and said excitedly, "Lucy, you're finally back. Are you alright?"
Lucy smiled and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm doing fine. Don't worry, Dad."
Nicolas's eyes teared up, "It's been five years and you never returned to Valemont City. You didn't even let me visit you. I miss you."
Lucy maintained her smile. "Many things have happened to me in the past five years. I'll tell you in detail when I'm free."
Then, she stood up with both hands on the armrest of the wheelchair and slowly walked towards Neil. She bowed. "Grandpa, I'm back. Are you alright?"
Neil looked at her with gratification in his eyes. "I'm still in good health. I won't die within a few years." He paused slightly and said gently, "It's good that you're fine. Nothing else is important."
"Thank you for your concern, Grandpa." Lucy bowed again. "I was in a car accident a few months ago and had a craniotomy last month. I might need to recuperate for a year and a half to recover. I have to sit in a wheelchair now. So, please forgive my disrespect, Grandpa and Dad"
"Sit down." Neil and Nicolas both said, "Your health is the most important. Don't force yourself."
Lucy looked at the other people from the Graham family and greeted them, "Hello, everyone. I am back."
The people revealed an indistinguishable smile. "Welcome back..."
Lucy turned around and slowly walked to the wheelchair. She sat down and adjusted the microphone.
People from the Graham family also sat down. Their expressions were complicated as they whispered.
The people below the stage were discussing fervently.
