Arthur looked at the four of them in shock as he ate.
Their appetites stunned him.
Rufus's appetite was still somewhat within his comprehension, but he was shocked by the other three.
All of them were robotic as they did not stop picking up food and chewing non-stop. It was as if their hands and mouths had never stopped, almost like they did not need to pause even for a second.
It was especially the case for the skinny guy with a small frame who ate at lightning speed and polished off his plate without making a sound.
Arthur could not wrap his head around how his stomach could hold so much food.
Seeing that the delicacies on the dining table had been wiped out one by one, he quickly went to fetch more food.
Not only him, but Claire and Josie were also stunned.
Josie suddenly started humming as he watched them. "Finally, it's mealtime. When it's mealtime, the foodie will be the first at the restaurant. There's no hesitance and the glutton needs to eat enough to gain energy. He will ask for more even if he hasn't finished his current plate..."
Claire and the others laughed when they heard Josie.
What an apt song.
However, the observations and reactions of others did not affect the speed at which Rufus and the others ate.
It was as if they were having a competition. They only focused on eating and did not care about anything else.
Claire's side had yet to finish theirs, but Rufus's side was already done eating.
Claire was dumbfounded. There were nearly 30 dishes equally split into meal and vegetarian dishes. Rufus and the rest managed to finish them all.
There was nothing left.
There was a sudden clanking sound.
The skinny guy had unconsciously placed his fork on the last dish. However, there was nothing for him to pick up.
He raised his head and looked left and right. He finally opened his mouth and asked, "Nothing else?"
Arthur thought momentarily and said cautiously, "There are some ingredients in the fridge. How about I ask my mother to make a few more dishes for all of you?"
Arthur was confused as he looked at the skinny guy's stomach. It was not bulging. Where did all the food go?
The skinny guy looked at his watch and replied calmly, "It's time. I've eaten enough. If there's nothing else, it's fine."
He looked up and adjusted his glasses. "I can offer another 20 million dollars. I don't mind offering more too."
Arthur let out a gasp and blinked hard.
He wondered if he heard correctly. Another 20 million dollars to invest?
Their affluence was beyond words.
The skinny guy continued, "I don't want interest or dividends. You can pay me back whenever you want."
There was a pause before he continued, "I only have one request. I must have a reserved seat to guarantee I could eat at the restaurant whenever I go."
As soon as he finished speaking, the scholarly guy said amiably, "My thoughts are the same as his."
The middle-aged female spoke formally as if she were approving documents. "As long as there's good food, money is not a problem."
Rufus added by saying, "It's settled then. After your restaurant opens, there must be a reserved table for us to eat every time we go. Charge us the usual rates. There's no need for discounted prices."
Claire hurriedly replied, "No problem. This is a small matter. We will be able to do it."
Rufus continued, "I'll take care of the design and renovation. I guarantee that you'll be satisfied."
