Jaden was not in a hurry to visit the villa. Instead, he entered the kitchen and washed his hands. He took out the cold vegetables from the food box and placed them on a small plate. Then, he took out fresh fruits, washed them, cut them, and placed them neatly on the plate. He brought them out and placed them on the coffee table. "You two eat slowly. I'll go cook."
Athena raised her hand. "Jaden, it's not that I'm lazy, but I'm not good at cooking. I only know how to cook instant noodles or bake things in an oven."
Jaden smiled. "There are many people in our family who can cook. You study hard, so it's fine if you don't know how to cook."
Then, Athena and Josie sat in the living room watching television and eating snacks while Jaden was busy in the kitchen.
Athena glanced at the kitchen from time to time and saw Jaden holding on to his apron and standing in front of the kitchen counter, cutting chickens and ducks. His actions were clean but not ferocious at all. It was quite pleasing to the eye.
When he brought out the cooked chicken potpie, the pieces of chicken were cut very well. They were neither too big nor too small, arranged neatly. It could be said to be a blessing for the obsessive-compulsive loyalists.
By the time he finished cooking eight dishes and a soup, Claire and Arthur had also rushed back.
The family of five sat together and discussed the restaurant while eating. It was really harmonious, lively, and happy.
Josie did not understand what adults were talking about. She was the first to run to the sofa to take an afternoon nap after eating.
The adults discussed until three o'clock in the afternoon. Jaden was about to go back when Claire smiled and said, "Your grandfather called me in the morning and asked you to play in the city for a few days before going back. Otherwise, you'll look down on them and think that they're useless and unable to survive without you by their side."
Athena was speechless. 'Grandpa is quite cute.'
Arthur also said, "Grandma also called me. She said that Mom is very tired from running a restaurant and asked you to accompany Mom for a few days. Don't be in a hurry to go back. If anything happens, they will inform you in time and tell you not to worry."
Jaden pondered for two seconds and smiled. "Then I'll stay here for two days and enjoy our new house. I'll also pick some vegetable seeds and fish seedlings."
"Fantastic!" Arthur clapped his hands, "My mom and I have been visiting the renovation site almost every day. We've also been running around the market, picking out kitchenware and suppliers, and interviewing kitchen assistants. It's perfect timing to catch a ride with you."
When Athena heard this, she fell into deep thought. 'When will my Miracle 3.0 arrive? I can't wait to have it.'
As soon as she thought this, she received an iMessage from Matthew, [Miss Donovan, Miracle 3.0 has just completed all the procedures. Do you mind if I drive it to Kitmore City now and hand it over to you personally?]
'Oh, Matthew is really telepathic with me. No wonder I feel so good about him.' Athena immediately sent Matthew a few smiling faces, [Okay, I'll wait for you.]
After sending it, she suddenly blushed. 'The words "I'll wait for you" are so ambiguous as if we're going on a date.'
Matthew replied with a "smile", [Okay, I'll tell you when I get to the Mid-Level Mountain Garden.]
Athena put down her phone sweetly and took out the car key from her bag. She placed it in front of Arthur. "Arthur, I made a major scientific research result in the laboratory. The laboratory rewarded me with a new car. I can get it this evening. I'll give you this car now."
"Ah?" Arthur's eyes widened in surprise. His mouth was wide open, and his voice was trembling. "R-really..."
"No." Claire glared at him. "Athena is only eighteen years old. It's not easy for her to earn a car. You're not allowed to take her car."
