This time, Matthew made his decision. "The five major cities can live. As for the rest, leave them alone."
Louis nodded. "I'll make the arrangements right away."
Matthew's intention was clear. Customers in the five major cities, Vredo City, Kitmore City, Hupool City, Valemont City, and Dichester, who had sued "Charming Beauty" could negotiate with the Murray family. After receiving fair compensation, they would withdraw their lawsuits, retract all accusations, and allow "Charming Beauty" to continue operating in these cities.
However, in the other cities, customers were determined to bring "Charming Beauty" down, ensuring its closure.
With this approach, the Murray family would still suffer significant losses and see their wealth sharply diminished, but at least they'd survive.
This was the way Matthew handled things, ruthless but leaving a way out for them.
He wouldn't take things to such an extreme unless there was some serious hatred involved.
As Louis made his call, Matthew walked over to the floor-to-ceiling windows, leaning slightly against the edge of the desk. With his arms crossed and his gaze lowered, he stared at the bustling city below.
His fingers lightly tapped against his arm, and no one knew what he was thinking.
After Louis finished arranging things for the Murray family, he saw Matthew standing there like a statue. It was obvious that Matthew was mulling over the marriage agreement.
Louis approached, adjusted his glasses, and said quietly, "Just moments ago, Derrick made a rare public appearance at a banquet and confirmed Neil's claims to be true.
"And Anabel posted a picture on Twitter of the two of you at Neil's 90th birthday party with the caption, 'What will we look like when we're 90?'
"Shall I release a statement on your behalf, declaring the marriage agreement null and void?"
Matthew looked up, casting a glance at the clock on the wall. "Trying to put out a fire at its peak is difficult.
"Let it die down first. The cleanup will be more thorough.
"Besides, Miss Donovan knows this is just wishful thinking on the old men's part. She doesn't care, so there's no rush."
Louis adjusted his glasses again, understanding perfectly.
That explained why Matthew had seemed ready to revolt when he first heard the news but calmed down after a few moments of tapping away on his phone. It was all thanks to Athena.
Matthew said, "Notify Jaylin to dress up a bit. I'll pick him up in half an hour for dinner. And arrange for the Aston Martin."
Louis was startled for a second but then nodded. "Yes, sir."
Half an hour later, with just a few minutes left until the end of the workday, Matthew descended the building, stepping through the lobby under the gaze of countless curious employees.
In the executive parking lot, where only vice presidents and above could park, a striking blue Aston Martin was waiting. Even though the employees and passersby of the Graham Group were used to seeing luxury cars, this one still caught their attention. A crowd gathered, and many stopped to snap photos.
Matthew slid into the Aston Martin and drove off.
Reporters stationed nearby immediately jumped into their cars, weaving through the crowd, following closely the Aston Martin.
The Aston Martin didn't seem bothered by the attention and drove at a leisurely pace.
About 20 minutes later, it stopped in front of a high-end apartment building.
A tall, stunning "woman" waiting at the entrance waved as soon as she saw him, her long hair and red dress fluttering in the breeze.
Matthew got out of the car and personally opened the passenger door for her.
