Athena replied with an "OK" emoji along with the message: [I'm also very busy recently and can't come over for now. Please keep me updated on the progress.]
As the leader of Dr. Annie's team, she would certainly have to perform such a high-difficulty surgery herself.
After agreeing, she messaged Louis: [Dr. Annie has responded and is willing to treat Ms. Graham. Here's the contact for Dr. Annie's assistant, Fanny. Add her, and she'll explain Dr. Annie's arrangements and requirements in detail.]
Louis quickly sent back "touched" and "crying" emojis: [Thank you so much, Miss Donovan. You've been an enormous help to Mr. Graham and Ms. Graham. We'll always remember this kindness and repay it in the future.]
He almost said that his boss would be willing to offer himself in marriage as thanks, but at the last moment, he managed to control his mischievous fingers.
His enthusiasm was so great that Athena felt obliged to send a "smiley face" in response: [It's no trouble at all, don't mention it.]
Louis sent back: [When would you be available? Mr. Graham would like to treat you to dinner as a token of appreciation.]
Athena responded shortly after: [No need, I have to study now. Bye.]
Louis subsequently sent two more messages expressing gratitude, greetings, and offers of gifts, but received no reply.
At a loss, he turned to his boss, who had been watching the phone screen beside him, and said, "Mr. Graham, I've done my best. It's up to you now."
"Contact Fanny immediately and fulfill all her requests." Matthew gave him a cold glance. "Get ahold of Isaac tonight while you're at it. I have something to ask him."
By the time Louis had finalized all the arrangements with Fanny, night had fallen.
At this hour, Isaac, impeccably dressed in a tailored suit, was hosting his biological daughter, Gia, who had just returned from abroad, at an upscale restaurant.
He and his wife were very pleased with Gia. Gia was petite, with delicate features and chestnut-colored curls styled like a doll. Her graceful demeanor and polished speech made it clear she was raised in a world of privilege, a true asset to the Kennedy family.
Regina couldn't stop praising her daughter. "Sweetheart, you're absolutely stunning, like a real-life Barbie princess. No other young lady in Kitmore City can compare to you."
Both of them gleamed, "Your mom and dad are so proud of you!"
Gia smiled sweetly, her voice soft and slightly accented. "Thank you for the compliment, Mom."
"Gia, your dad and I have been thinking," Isaac said with a smile. "Since you've just returned, take a couple of days to rest and get familiar with Kitmore City."
"Once we're ready, we'll host a grand welcome party for you and your brother, inviting all our friends and the city's elite to announce that you are our biological children."
He should have arranged the welcome party immediately, but the Kennedy family had just been abandoned by Vission Group and was under scrutiny. Many were taking pleasure in their misfortune.
