Holding the party now might make them a laughingstock, so he decided to wait until he could win back Vission Group before hosting the event.
Gia wasn't in a hurry to showcase her beauty and talent to Kitmore City's high society. She responded thoughtfully, "I'll follow whatever you and Dad decide."
Just then, Isaac's phone rang. Seeing it was an unknown number, he hung up and poured his daughter a drink. "Gia, are you getting used to the food here compared to back home? If not, I'll hire a private chef just for you..."
Before he could finish, his assistant, Micah, rushed in. "Mr. Kennedy, I received a call from someone claiming to be..."
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Isaac said, annoyed. "What could be more important than having dinner with Gia? Haven't you learned to prioritize after all this time?"
Micah hesitated for a moment. "Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Graham's secretary called. Mr. Graham wants to meet you."
Isaac was impatient. "Which Mr. Graham?"
"Matthew Graham, from the Graham Group..."
"Matthew Graham?" Isaac exclaimed, his hand shaking as he spilled wine on the table as well as onto his and Gia's clothes. But he didn't care about that. Trembling, he asked, "Is it really Matthew Graham from the Graham Group? Are you sure?"
Micah replied, "I asked why I should believe them, and they said if I'm smart, I'd know how to judge. They also said Mr. Graham would only wait until 9 PM, then hung up and sent an address."
Isaac set the wine bottle down and stood up. "What's his number? And the address?"
Connecting with Matthew Graham was a dream for many in the business world, and Isaac was no exception. Especially now, with the Kennedy family in dire straits, they desperately needed financial backing.
However, as one of the wealthiest people in Kitmore City, Isaac had to be cautious about meeting strangers to avoid scams or kidnappings.
Micah showed him the caller ID, and the number looked familiar...
Isaac checked his phone and realized the unknown number that had called him matched the one that called Micah. So, when Isaac didn't answer, they called Micah instead.
The address sent to Micah was for a high-end club owned by the Graham family in Kitmore City, accessible only to members who were either wealthy or influential. Given this, it seemed likely the caller was legitimate.
Isaac was so excited that his face turned red, and his voice trembled. "Everyone, I'm off to meet Mr. Graham. Please continue eating without me."
With that, he hurriedly rushed out.
In his excitement, he nearly tripped over a chair leg but managed to grab the back of the chair just in time, avoiding an embarrassing fall.
"Dad, I'm coming too!" Gia exclaimed, rising quickly and struggling to contain her own excitement. "Mr. Graham is incredibly sharp. I might be able to help you."
Two years ago, when she was just sixteen, she had seen Mr. Graham at an auction overseas and had been captivated by him ever since.
At that time, her status and circumstances felt worlds apart from his, and Mr. Graham was known for being indifferent to women. She had no opportunity to approach him and had to regard that fleeting encounter as nothing more than a teenage fantasy.
Now that she was so close to Mr. Graham, she could hardly contain her enthusiasm.
